Christians differentiate between condemnation of the act of sin and condemnation of the perpetrator of the sin. No one is allowed to judge the sinner–because we all sin, BUT condemning the sin is another matter. Yes there is the story of Jesus and the woman about to be stoned BUT everyone forgets the key line there—“and sin no more”. His withholding of condemnation is CONDITIONAL upon her not sinning. So should gays be condemned? No of course not, but can/should we condemn the unnatural sexual practices they engage in HELL yes.

Funny that it took you this long my friend to figure it out that the church of men is bound to fail expectations someday.

When The Christ went looking for God, he did not go to a temple or a synagogue he instead went to the desert.

There’s something beautiful in being ALONE and being in a place with all the odds against ya, Read a little of what Buddha went through meditating in the jungle alone for 45 days.

The church of God never was the church of MEN, it was both nature and reality, brutal and honest, nothing that men do can change that.

Time changes everything and the truth is perfect and sublime, just as God is a force of nature that cannot be seen and also cannot be unseen.

I’m no theologian but I understand the basic doctrines and tenets of the faith—things which were regarded as eternally true. Well the pope/dope is at again. I could live with his hypocritical statements about guns, walls, illegal immigrants, mooslums etc because I get it–he’s left wing cultural marxist.

But the statements a few weeks back about there not being a hell and souls are not eternal they just disappear, was WAY over the line—this is blasphemous apostasy pure and simple and NOW we have the latest pronouncement; its OK to be gay—Sure its part of God’s plan that men f~~~ the asses of other men and try and fertilize s~~~…Think again assholes.

I don’t know about you guys but I’m through, the catholic church is headed over a theological cliff and I’m going to wave bye bye. My bulls~~~ meter is full and can accept no more. My fellow Catholics on the site can obviously do as you wish but I would urge you to disassociate yourself from a profane and perverted church that no longer stands for anything but marxism, child diddling, lies, and irreverent BULL S~~~.

Does the pope read a different kind of bible than the Bible I’m used to reading?

I think they’ve got their own version of the Bible, certainly not King James or New International.

    There’s no hell.

The doctrine about eternal hell was created by the pagans, adopted by the church, and believed by the brainwashed fools.

Most souls rotting in hell at this very moment did not believe in the existence of hell! They also didn’t believe in the existence of immortal souls.. They invented as they went along throughout their lives, with exquisite fantasies different versions of what happens to evil people when they cease to breathe!

Most have to first kick the bucket in order to find out about the tortures that goes on in Hell to the damned souls! Few have access to such knowledge.

Jesus spoke about an actual hell. Many times in the Gospels according to Matthew, Mark, and Luke. I don’t remember if he spoke about it at length in John.

I follow Jesus, because of His impeccable credentials. He foretold many times in the Gospels to be wary of wolves in sheeps clothing. Who in their hearts. Will view His faithful as merchandise to be traded for their own personal wealth and arrogance stoking. I’m paraphrasing the last sentence.

The modern reformed congregations. Are falling prey to the same infections that were prevalent in 15th century RCC. The only antidote is, study the Bible. Then be humble enough to admit in yourself when you are wrong. Then keep reading.

God will show you Himself through His Words.

I guess it’s easier for some to pretend there is no punishment for evil deeds. Then they can just do whatever they want without fear of condemnation and retribution.

I’m sure it’s still there in the back of their minds though……..what if…??…and they just keep trying to push it away.

Call it whatever you want, whether it be hell, or some other name, there is an eternity of punishment as well as an eternity of paradise. We will all go one of two places when we die. There is another plane of existence beyond this one.

Hi, Pete. Sorry I’m late to such an important thread. I’m just curious, not judging, but could you clarify what you mean by “I’m through”? Through with the pope? Through with Catholicism? Through with going to Church? Through with the Bible altogether? I’m just interested to know where you stand.

I’m through with the pope/dope and the church. I’m remain as catholic as they come and will continue to ground my faith on the word of God as expressed in the Bible. I’d never go back to being an atheist I can’t.

The RCC hasn’t been the same since Vatican II and I think I know why. It has to do with the P2 scandal exposed by David Yallop with his book “In God’s Name.”

My conclusion is that the RCC was taken over by a sect of Freemasons headed by Licio Gelli “The Puppet Master.”

I don’t want to get off on a conspiratorial tangent here, but it seems to me the RCC is not itself. This new Pope really has made that obvious.

My knowledge of the RCC isn’t exhaustive. As far as sacraments and other internal workings. The RCC does have a track record of moving into regional politics. When a political person sees an opportunity to secure special status granted to the RCC through faux legitamacy.

The word pope is found nowhere in the Textus Reseptus Bible. Which is the Greek congregation canon from 1-6 century AD.

At some point after Constantine relocated the Roman capitol to modern day Istanbul. Rome was about to be sacked by invading group of thugs. Had no military force to repel the invaders.

The bishop of Rome at the time parlayed with invaders. Brokered a truce. He then unilaterally elevated himself to the title pope.

This was an important time period in Western Europe. Because this was the moment the RCC became a legitamizer for governance. Title such as Emporer, King, Prince, Duke had to be ratified according to papal traditional dictates.

This pope I believe is trying to play the same game. This time with opposing factions of marxist political parties.

Good to hear. I was already going to mention the SSPX as an alternative to “mainstream” Catholicism. This modernist nonsense had a very clear starting point: the Second Vatican Council. So it stands to reason that if anyone is still following the true teachings of Christ, it would be the followers of the man who explicitly condemned and refused to accept the teachings of Vatican II: Archbishop Lefebvre.

I was once able to be present at a mass said by Bishop Fellay (the current superior general, who also has denounced the heretical teachings of Jorge), and his homily was the best I’ve ever heard.
