I think boys get in more trouble in school because they need more time outside running around instead of sitting at their desk. These same boys become men and get depressed because they need more time outside running around instead of sitting at their desk.

Being outside has a huge impact on my mood…along with sleep.

But I’ve never had what I would consider real (clinical) depression, just the blues.

Best advice my dad gave me, "Don't get married. Don't have kids."

As always, when dealing with women look at what they do and not what they say.

Women love to “fake” depression to get their way in relationships and at work. It’s mostly a sham like crying.

Men suffer from real depression because men take their lives 4 times as many as women.

Bulls~~~ters try to bulls~~~ us and say that men are more “successful” at suicide because we use more lethal means.

I call f~~~ that. Men are depressed because they are slaves and slaves commit suicide.

    It’s really that simple.

Men are 4 times as likely to develop real depression than women. Depression is primarily a male disease even though the bulls~~~ters always say women are the greatest “victim” of depression, probably blame the men in their lives.

Men don’t complain but we know they suffer life long emotional abuse from women, all of them, so it’s no surprise that men have more depression.

Another fact is that during divorce rates of depression and suicide increase for men. I don’t give a s~~~ what happens to women. Not my problem.

And yes, I suffered from real clinical depression for years after my ex left and kidnapped my son. Even though I won in court I still suffered depression relating to what this would do to my son, the real victim of divorce.

A good psychiatrist is essential, whether you hate doctors nor not. It’s a fact. Your entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts.

    HR,

Im glad you replied. I always find your insights intiguing. The statistic you mentioned is one I am fully aware of. More women “attempt” to commit suicide, but by FAR more men are SUCCESSFUL at commiting it.I believe, from anecdotal evidence, that is the case because women ATTEMPT it merely as a cry for help…,Men come to the rescue. But MEN do it for the act itself: they are truly sick of life and want it over.

Womens depression issues seem so much more superficial. And even when you express your serious issues to them, they dont seem to have much care. I flat out asked my sister “do you ever think life isnt worth it?” In no uncertain terms. She responded “no” but its different for her because she has kids. Not ONE SINGLE Question as to what am I dealing with or how could she help. Not a single f~~~ing word. If she had posed the question to me, and I was in a healthy mental state, I would do whatever I could to cheer her up. Its INSANE how women are precisely the OPPOSITE of what we are taught. They are NOT nourishing and caring. They are vindictive and self entitled.

    Resident cynic.

Like George Carlin said (paraphrasing) “The world is a sideshow and we are all born with a ticket to go see it.”

Once you can laugh at our species and our absurd predicament we call the modern world you’ll enjoy life more.

The Children of Doom... Doom's Children. They told my lord the way to the Mountain of Power. They told him to throw down his sword and return to the Earth... Ha! Time enough for the Earth in the grave.
