To a woman, fiction is like a guy. If fiction is the bad boy story, women will be attract to it, and also demand it to change until the story is a blue pill mangina version of itself. At which point women will leave that story and go back to the bad boy story and start all over again.

If you look at fictional stories, the feminist powertrip stories rarely sell well. There are exceptions. The Buffy TV series was a popular series, but Buffy was popular because the series crossed genres to the teenage genre, the action genre, and the horror genre. And truthfully, the Buffy tv series was riding the 90’s wave of action block busters, teenage series like Save By the Bell, Horror stories like Interview with a Vampire, and the whole 90’s girl-power craze.

The Deadpool film destroys that argument. Say what you will about the character, but that film is not a chick film. The Deadpool film is about over the top a action, raunchy (though touching) sex scenes, and a level of genre savvy most women do not understand. Thor isn’t in Civil War, neither is Hulk. Vision wasn’t really in Civil War either, but he is in the movies now.

Black Widow and Hawkeye are also an established dynamic and this preview wasn’t “gurl power” like Girlbuster.

So I’m going to reserve judgement for the film. They have been getting Captain America right. I’m waiting to see if they off him at the end like he died in the comics. Gotta prep the anus of the audience for World War Hulk.

That said, feel free to dismiss my views and ignore this movie. Again, just a devil’s advocate here.

I’m cool with that. I definitely agree that they got Captain America right. He was one of my favorite characters in the Avengers.

I do think Marvel is going or already has gone full on gurrl power though.

I also know what you’re saying about Vision and Scarlet. However, Scarlet and Black Widow just remind me so much of Rey from Star Wars. It p~~~es me off whenever the films focus on them.

When it comes to the Scarlet Witch, I found the comic version of the character to be the perfect representation of modern feminists, with the proper mix of power and irresponsibility.

Meh I don’t care if they have some female characters…and really…whining about Scarlett Witch being a badass because she takes on Vision is kind of silly because Vision is an android and not even technically a man. Besides its what…2 female characters for like 10 male characters…who the hell cares. Black Widow, like others have mentioned, doesn’t really do anything in any of the super powered fights, and even if Scarlett Witch turns out badass most mutant groups I could remember as a kid always had at least 1 female character in it, so its not like this is something new.

I thought it was bulls~~~ when they turned Thor into a woman…but in the context of this movie Black Widow and Scarlett Witch fight scenes with them kicking ass will probably be the main focus for about 5 minutes out of a 2 and a half hour movie or however long its going to be…hardly full SJW in my opinion. I was actually looking forward to seeing SW gaining more control over her powers as the series progresses.

It’s kind of annoying to see 100 lb women beat up 250 lb skilled men as if that is normal, and then women turn around and bitch and scream about domestic violence and that a man can never lay a hand on a woman even if she’s beating him up.

But that’s what I expect from the gynocracy. Since I never married and won’t even date, this is not an issue for me and I did move past the red pill rage part. I know I could be forced into it if I was a long term employee at a serious company that cares about its worker’s lives, but no such thing exists in the modern economy so I can skate by with some annoyances.

I don’t get you people that keep watching TV and movies and reading mainstream news and stuff though. Yeah I’m past the rage but it’s not like I want to be constantly reminded that I’m a second class citizen in this country.

Dunno…I don’t buy the comics. I like the movies and I’ll be watching them until female Thor hits the big screen or they do some other ridiculous s~~~. If they add a few female super heroes to the mix I don’t really care…they were in the comics when I was a kid and used to read them…although I don’t doubt the comics have gotten a lot less badass and a lot more pussified over the years.

Its kind of annoying too watching Captain America run around with a shield that barely covers his upper half while getting shot at with automatic weapons, yet nobody can apparently figure out if they aim at his legs he’s toast. Must be his male privilege at work lol. If I can still enjoy the movie even though it does dumb s~~~ like that, overlooking that BW will beat up a few no name goons throughout the movie isn’t hard to do.

But it’s not the same male audience, and when the latest superhero movie fad fades with the general public, that audience will go away they’ll find their old die-hard fans will have walked away as well. Marvel today is at best a fast cash cow for SJW Disneycorp, just like Star Wars, and once the mouse empire has sucked as much quick cash out of the property it will be discarded into the disney vault / IP graveyard faster than you can say Oswald the Rabbit.

I think the last marvel universe movie I saw was Guardians because F~~~ Yeah Groot! I may not see Guardians 2.

I didn’t see Ultron. I didn’t see Ant Man. I missed out on all the Iron Mans and Thors after the first of each (which I borrowed on disc). I haven’t even seen Deadpool, and I f~~~ing love Deadpool comics (probably because I don’t want to see how they’ve f~~~ed them).

I haven’t seen any of the stuff on television either. As in none of it.

I’ve been drifting away from the marvel cinematic universe, and marvel comics in general, because I don’t see much point in giving them more money or attention. There are better comics out there these days anyways.
