One of the things that kills marriage is the fact that when a guy gets married to a woman, at the very least he expects her to be monogamous.
But the same state that sanctions the marriage and issues a license, is the same state that does not have any laws that make infidelity a crime.
So women get everything they want out of marriage: like money, resources and a sperm donor, but if or when they decide to cheat, there are no legal consequences.
As a young male (20) I’m glad I’ve decided to opt out of marriage and relationships in general. I also think dating is dead. I mean whats the perks of dating? The Vagina? Please. Why would I want my Gandalf The Grey to venture into the terrible Mines of Moria.
Keep it up, Meek.

It is important to give females their due — they hold all the cards. Walking away is NOT easy, so if you pretend it is there’s always the female who will trick you into coming back.
The most important thing to guard is your sperm and your property. A vasectomy if you’re brave enough, or condoms if you aren’t.
All the bulls~~~ about women being unfaithful misses the point — women have UNCHECKED POWER over men, in the children and marriage categories, and are very abusive of it. That’s what you need to protect yourself from — not just “dating.” F~~~ it, date all you want. Just protect your sperm and your property.

Marriage should be a contract between a man, woman and (god) their creator… The state issued marriage license ruined it for everyone.. The states have no place in the private families..The older generations did just fine with common law and the churches..George and Martha Washington had no marriage License, but does anyone question if they were married or not? The older generations did not ruin marriage..Feminism along with the states help ruined marriage…Texas is a common law state…No license required for marriage..Tell a girl you will marry her but you will not sign a state marriage license..She will not be happy… Women want the state involved…The marriage is just as legal without the license and all state law applies, but a woman will still not like the idea of having no license..
No state has the authority to ban or declare a common law marriage illegal period…All a state has the authority to say is if they recognize it or not…I do not care what the state recognizes or don’t recognize..If you marry in Texas and move to Arkansas, you are still married even though Arkansas does not recognize common law marriage..Applying for a license is the same as asking for permission…You should not ask the state for permission…The title for this topic is Marriage is dead…If it is not dead it is suffering needlessly. I say lets put it out of its misery Quickly…
I was bound to be misunderstood, and I laugh at those who misunderstand me. Kind mockery at the well intentioned, but unfettered cruelty towards those would be prison guards of my creative possibilities. This so as to learn as much from misunderstanding as from understanding. Taking pleasure in worthy opponents and making language fluid and flowing like a river yet pointed and precise as a dagger. Contradicts the socialistic purpose of language and makes for a wonderful linguistic dance, A verbal martial art with constant parries that hone the weapon that is the two edged sword of my mouth.

You are doing the right thing sir. A wise man listens to instruction, a fool does not, so saith the Lord. And I also think you are right about dating being dead. It’s dead and the purpose for it seems convoluted. All dating, as of now, is just a test that ladies put you through to see if your Gandalf The Grey is worth to venture into the terrible Mines of Moria , that’s all. From the moment you start your date to the end of it, you are being sized up to see if you measure up. They analyze every thing you say and do. The interesting thing, at least for me, is that, when I was dating, I was going out to get to know the person and have some fun, nothing more nothing less. I wasn’t sitting back watching her every move to see if she said the right things, acted the right way, shows the right signs she is capable of having children, has the qualities of being a good mother, has the ability to be a good wife, or what our children might look like if we did have any. I mean really, this is the kind of stuff ladies really do now. I don’t know, maybe it was always like that, but I never felt so much under the gun to preform well as I did in the last ten years. It makes you feel like a circus performer. Dating certainly has changed, I think, and not for the good.
I remember one time, I went over to help move one of the ladies I was dating. Well, while there, I noticed a few of the kids were playing so I joined in. A few seconds later I look up and noticed she was standing above me smiling as if she had approved of what I was doing. Sure enough, later she told me she was happy that I enjoy kids and was willing to become a kid. Little did she know, I wasn’t play with the kids to impress her, I was playing with them because what they were playing looked fun to do. This is when I realized I was being tested big time. Wow, everything counts with them, you know. Can’t just go and have fun.

You know sir, you are 150% correct in my books. I agree with every single word you typed. Bingo.
There are two kinds of marriage. One is by man, and one is by God. The one by man is a contractual marriage, nothing more. This is the most prevalent one. The one by God is by word. It is a covenant marriage. This is how God intended marriage to be. Click the link below if you want to learn how they differ.

That’s why I say marriage is dead. The covenant marriage is no more. It has been replaced with a foul, wickedly unfair replica. Contractual marriage is no marriage at all. It is a state run lottery of which men are very often the losers, thus translating, to the family unit as a whole losing. I say walk away from this abomination. In fact, don’t just walk away, run.

Believe it or not, there use to be a law, way back when I was young, before no fault divorce, that would in effect criminalize such act, wither it be the husband or wife. If you committed adultery, you were severely punished in divorce court. And I men severely punished too. That’s why, back then, people were so worried about getting caught doing such a wicked deed. Now, people don’t even blink. We, my friend, live in a very different world now as you have just pointed out.

This is a very interesting way of looking at it. I can see where it has merit.
