If you want to be protected and cared for because you are too weak to take care of yourself, then the corollary is that you are not equal and you must obey your superiors in all things.

An “equal” being is owed zero duty of protection or care. I feel like people don’t want to admit this.

Rulers rule because they are superior, and know what is best for their people. The people obey because they can not do it themselves and acknowledge the superiority of their ruler. Men protect women because women are weak and inferior, and can not do things on their own.

I personally have no problem letting someone else have my seat if I’m able to stand for the period of time I’ll need to be on public transportation, so long as they ask politely. If I am in such a state that I cannot stand up or if it causes me too much pain to do so, I just want people to respect it. If this guy is able to do that, then cool. If he’s holding up the entire train trying to get seats for women (or anyone else for that matter), then we might have a problem.

I have no problem with it either. I’ll gladly give up my seat if a person’s in need of one. However, women, pregnant women especially, feel as though they’re entitled to my seat which they’re not. Those are the type of c~~~s I have a problem with.

I once had a fat woman sit next to me in a bus. I was on the window seat and her side blubber almost crushed me. I poitey asked her to ‘adjust’ as I was not being able to breathe; she throws me a devilish look and asks me where I was going, where I was getting off, how old I was (“you’re a little boy, mind your manners”).
