Do homes in Florida not have lightning rods?

From my states fire marshal, there is conflicting evidence as if they work.

    Florida not have lightning rods?

A lot of property seems to be below sea level where Pete lives, so lightning rods would be inserted into the water table. No too effective that way.

So we need a bigger target. How about a 100 foot flag pole?

Funny how a UPS can take that much power.

    Just once.

Again? Poor Pete. We need to get him a lightning rod or something.

Sounds like his internet is acting like one. At least his devices escaped unscathed this time. Wonder what the odds of it hitting the same place multiples times are….

Hope that someday I may lead others the path I have learned. As Virgil led Dante through Hell.

Some years ago, I had a lightning strike come down about 75′ from the house. The EMP blew the internal modem board.
