“No f~~~s given” isn’t sustainable on a high numbers level. If all we are going to do is write “No f~~~s given” on every thread/post than why even have a forum?
The drama threads are more destructive than the Tuna’s and Trolls, in fact many of the trolls have been active members! It still needs moderation though or you just have people leaving or stop posting as it brings the tone of the site down.
100% agree that the drama threads are more destructive.
Couldn’t give a f~~~ about the tuna and mangina trolls but when decent members start being whiny bitches about other members that is doing the tuna’s job for them. Part of the red-pill/MGTOW process, in my opinion, is rationing the f~~~s to give.
The note at the bottom of nearly every page is:
“… BEFORE YOU SUBMIT A POST, KINDLY REMEMBER YOU ARE AN IMPORTANT REPRESENTATIVE OF MGTOW | MEN GOING THEIR OWN WAY.”
Apologies for caps, I cut-and-paste from below, but this seems to have been forgotten a lot recently.
Hitting members with ban hammers or silencing them isn’t likely to help gents go their own way, it is likely to create greater resentment.
We have the alert buttons and it should be KM’s decision.
He’s been unavoidably unavailable recently.
But, so what? A reasonable level of respect for his site should be sufficient for members to not devolve into petty anarchy.This site has saved and changed the lives of many men, myself included, and we can never repay that.
The lack of respect shown to this site by formerly respected members has been f~~~ing disgraceful.So, re-iterating – mods and restrictions not needed if f~~~s given are rationed and respect is paid to the site.

Yeah I seen all the spam messages too. Got one in my PM bell today. just IGNORED it.
I been here a little over a year and this place has grown 50% since then. That’s a lot sso it seems inevitable to have members quarrel and haters spamming to the membership.
I belong to a few other forums and they all have asst. mods to help out the main Mod(S).
As this site grows ever larger, it would be cool to see a “council of Elders” to help KM maintain the integrity of this site.
Someone posted earlier some good candidates, I would like to add Awakened and narwhal(even though he says he wouldn’t care to be one).Marry again, Hell NO ! ( Even JESUS was hung on a cross just once)
Agreed Joey that rules, procedures and regulations should be kept small in number and scope.
Having said this, if they are not clear and well articulated then you have a well orchestrated mess on your hands.
Bored members, immature members, members with a grudge will always cause drama. This drama will only increase because the above have to have their say.
It’s their right as members but they also feel it’s their responsibility to tilt every MGTOW.com windmill that comes along.

I suppose if it’s a mod that has close to the same level of respect that KM does, then it can work, but there are very few that have that. I say that full well knowing that I don’t have that level of respect

Again, I don’t think it’s needed, but if it does get done, it has to be someone who has the respect of the vast majority of posters. And they must remain neutral on any interpersonal agreements. KM also does this very well.
Could be a combination of all members voting for their favorite candidate and KM picking from the top man of men voted for.
This site is like society – the bigger and more complicated it gets, the more it needs supervision to stop it descending into chaos

How many MGTOW.com members can say that they have the time, skills and abilities to do so.
It would take a very special individual indeed to fill that difficult position.. and free too! I don’t believe that admin should get remunerated since Mgtow.com strive to be here to help men… it’s like a non profit organization!
Being a Mod and being a member are very difficult to accomplish together … one must separate the person from the position and put personal feeling to the side

As well as having the perception to realize that one persons view is not necessarily everyone’s viewpoint, yet that one person has the right to be able to express their view as long as it is not too divergent from MGTOW.com norms.

This is a great idea and would also allow for “applicants” to indicate their ability to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the “MGTOW.com Moderator”.
The successful applicants would need both technical skills, customer service skills, and “public speaking / analytic writing” abilities. Punting someone is easy, you decrease their permissions. Explaining to someone how to utilize a MGTOW.com site function is another issue which requires a different workflow.

Today’s Internet culture has many social media sites that are now finding themselves in competition for the same members, or faced with other sites that espouse views diametrically opposed to their own.

Agreed Macho, if a paid professional is hired to be a shift moderator, then KM would need to look at a sustainable income stream to pay for the position. In a word, “ADVERTISING”. There are of course lots of pros and cons related to enabling advertising on a site, a major con is the red flags some advertising causes with other sites. We think that we have trolls now ….. A corollary would then become MGTOW.com sponsorships, think of all the radio / social media / magazines that would love to have MGTOW.com actively sponsor and support them.
Again a very disciplined / impartial individual!
A savvy person who has a firm grasp regarding all the MGTOW/socialization/life aspects that bring members into the MGTOW.com fold. Knowing these nuances is critical to knowing when posts/actions are OK, when they need to continue perking a while longer, which new / lurking member is a Tuna, etc.

True, this is a valid point and one that would be great if MGTOW.com members could remember and abide by.
The reality is that they cannot.
Running MGTOW.com is not KM’s primary vocation and there are issues that need resolving in a timely manner. These functions/actions/analysis requires a living breathing MGTOW.com member to accomplish.
How this is accomplished is not important, but not addressing the issue will facilitate members decreasing their activity on the site, or taking a break/leaving permanently to avoid the B.S./drama that occurs.

I Totally agree that the site needs help one way or the other as it continues its growth.
One more reason to find a free (a volunteer) extra admin (besides KM that would remain the main admin).. a volunteer in my humble opinion if picked carefully would care much more about the health and long term success of mgtow.com. A paid admin would be motivated mostly by $$$
So many people don’t care about their paying job (meaning the quality of their work) as long as they get paid they keep a low profile. If they get caught doing something wrong they either deny everything, blame someone else or resign.
