And just to help you get clear about something, Im doc and I was a first responder before I was a doc. The entire post was about how frustrated I was with taking good care of my patients and handing them off to idiots who were so arrogant they refused to listen to the doc. And caused repeated damage and bad outcomes to my patients. My patients at the time were vets getting transferred to a private hospital. Who I cared very much for because Im from a military family. I’m also an Agent Orange victim myself thanks to the birth defects I have.

So keep yelling. Keep showing everyone what you really are.

Ex vietnam vet friend of my fathers who drank himself into the grave . He had 4 kids two boys especially one of his sons it effected the most .

Had a whild arse vet friend that was older than me back then new him from 12 years old . F~~~in loose c~~~ . Had his wife and two kids . He sufferd and just popped in some times but was out f~~~ing around . But he was always good with his family . F~~~ i wont forget him . He was into the same model car i had . He had a roll cage and needed it . His car trunk always had some contriband in it . Vhs porn vids he carted a few of that around and this . But deep down he hurt .

As an ER doctor, I appreciate our EMS. They vary from volunteer EMT basics to paramedics. Yes, they have varied levels of training and experience. Just as all jobs employ people that are good and bad at their jobs, impeding and belittling them while they perform their duties helps no one.

Frequently, EMS is responding to an unknown or vague situation. They aren’t going to be hotel concierges. They do their best with what they have in that situation. Don’t like that, then load grandma in your car and take her to the ED yourself.

Many times its volunteers, like my brother, who gives enough of a s~~~ about his community to try and help. If you want to denigrate their help, then f~~~ off.

These people are first responders and have to make the best of the situation with what they have. Mistakes may be made, but trashing them helps no one.

A co-worker recently told me, "If you want to see who someone really is, divorce them." I have found out how true this is. When your wife drops the façade of being the caring partner, you will witness all of the greed, hate, and spite that she has masked. It is truly breathtaking!
