Issues with paramedics

Been a nurse for a number of years, military and civilian. Seen the totally incompetent nurses and doctors. Same with arrogant, and brilliance. The real fact of the situation is all across the board medical is under staffed. Overworked in a high stress job. Mistakes are critical. The one job where you have to be right 100% of the time no matter the situation. Deal with unrealistic expectations from the public/families. Yes medical care is expensive, no I can not spend all day doing one on one care I have other patients who also demand the same.

Story time.

I was working at a burger King in Jantzen beach as a kid in highschool, I met this guy, forgot what I asked him for But I think it was his pin or something. But he was a lobbyist of sorts to get Paramedics better pay. Did you know that some of them actually made MINIMUM WAGE???

$14.77 is what the average pay is says google. I want you to rap that around your head. THESE F~~~ERS drive like cops, are in MORE DANGER THEN COPS. DEAL with WAY MORE f~~~et up stuations then cops. But get paid less than janitors????

Now I asked him back at the time, Why not just be a nurse. They get paid WAY MORE.

He told me that some people really love their job, and should be able to support their families doing this. It was I think my first. Whoa. Mind blown moment.

I want you to think about this. Most of them were on FOOD STAMPS??? HOW THE F~~~??

Now take this into perspective. The CDC says that over 37% of these guys die of Suicide in their jobs.

And from what the numbers say, more die each year or get some serious injuries then cops do.

But since there is no corruption, or power to be had here, these guys get paid almost nothing for what the dangers of the job are. RARELY do I ever se female paramedics.

I never could wrap my head around this either. Its one of the reason after that whenever I saw one come in, Even on my Modest 5 bucks an hour, I always paid for their meals when they came in.

I am thankful, some guy took the time and explained it to me. It really made a difference in my life and understanding of he world back them. and brought my life into focus.

Sad to say, but the part Cage plays.. That’s what I am like in real life.

gentleman, I know this is f~~~ed up thing to ask. But please, when you see these men, TIP your hat to them. They are all but forgotten by the media, by women, and if its another thing I want to do, this would be it.

If you are ever having a bad day, Run into a paramedic, Hook that f~~~er up. There are few if any people that are this genuinely good.

Suicide at the job. Well. Kind of hard to get laid if you end up looking like John goodman making the same as a guy at McDonalds.

Man. And with women crying rape all the time. I can’t even imagine the s~~~ they get day in and day out.

Whenever I have to deal with cops, paramedics, medical staff and what have you, I always remind myself that what is an emergency to me is every damn day to them. Although, I may not like the service I get being a whiney bitch about it isn’t going to help. Whatever attitude they may have is most likely due to a really s~~~ty ungrateful person they just had to deal with before they had to deal with me.

Point is, people deserve a level of respect and some understanding that they may be having a s~~~ty day at a s~~~ty job.

One more thing. Lets just tell people that we need to hire plumbers.
Plumber is $20.32 /hr or $50401 annually.

Paramedics deal with s~~~ too. Just saying.. 🙂
