The percentage of people with STDs has been rising by a significant margin lately. Some claim it’s nearing almost apocalyptic proportions.

So I’ve been wondering lately is the STD risk of having sex even worth it?

Sex seems great while it’s an idea in our head. However, when actually doing it, it seems to be a rather meh thing most of the times. You will likely experience at least a few of these things:

    1. Woman is too passive and the whole experience becomes rather boring. Not very satisfying at all.

    2. Woman demands poses, oral, and what-not.. so you distract yourself to please her.

    3. You wear a condom, which kills much of the sensitivity of your penis.

    4. Woman is too dry or too wet, creating more sensitivity issues.

    5. You can’t seem to fully relax, thinking about of the possibility of getting an STD while actually having sex.

    6. You can’t seem to fully relax because of issues that may happen during sex, like breaking the condom, impregnating her, the future agenda of this woman who will subsequently try to gain something from you.

    7. Funny smells and unexpected skin imperfections messing up with the experience.

    8. Inability to watch the act from numerous angles. You’re constricted to POV most of the times (unless you have a few mirrors around).

    9. Further distractions of what she may think or do about numerous things.

I believe I’ve had a decent share of sex and all in all, I can definitely state that I’ve had my best orgasms and sessions while pleasing myself to my imagination or porn. Based on my experiences, reality seems to be highly overrated.

So what do you guys think? Are STD/other risks even worth it?

Personally, I only f~~~ women who can pretty accurately convince me that they’ve had very few sexual partners to begin with (I’m a hypocrite, so what?). In addition, I verify that they’ve been tested, recently. If they haven’t, and I think it’s worth the investment, I’ll actually pay for her to get one myself – I’d rather be safe, than have to worry about my dick rotting off in a few months.

My preference is that the woman be on the DEPO shot, if possibly. Even more preferably if they’ve been on it, consistently, for a long period of time as a side effect of the contraceptive is infertility/early-menopause.

No guilt, no worry, STD free, and I don’t have to use a condom because she can’t have kids anymore anyway. Works just fine for me. But, then again, I don’t honestly put very much stock in sex anyway. Feels good sure (alright, lets be serious here for a minute – it feels ‘alright’ or maybe even ‘decent’, but most of it is just for our egos), but generally speaking I just don’t give enough f~~~s to worry about it. Although, that’s just me.

For me sex is horrible without having a strong relationship with the girl. ExWife was a passive dead fish in the sack most of the time and not talented when she actually tried. Now that is over and I see how little I meant to her. This has all but stopped me from wanting to have sex again. I’m so busy actually living life that I almost forget about it at times.
If I can’t stand to be around a girl then I can’t imagine I’d want to sleep with one. I no longer see it from a blue pill perspective either. No longer do I think she’d be doing me a big fav. Instead I believe by virtue of being a man (and almost always in better shape them) I’d be doing any girl a big favor by sleeping with them. They’d actually get something out of it where as I would be at a loss before during and after.
STDs don’t seem like a good time either.

I’m celibate as long as I’m in a western country. Now if it were a country, like, say, Thailand, Japan, China, etc. I’d f~~~ women there. Women can’t just claim “RAPE!” over there and be believed without evidence like they can over in western countries.

But, I prefer sex toys and porn over actual sex. They’re much more satisfying because you can control the situation.

I suppose I’m slowly sliding towards more or less permanent celibacy. I’ve grown more finicky over the years, cannot even imagine having sex with women my age, and have noted the explosion in STDs with increasing alarm.

Apart from a woman in her mid-40s who I have a “Whenever you’re back in town…” relationship with, my sex partners over the last few years have all been graduate students. I’ve noticed that I’ve even been consciously or unconsciously cutting back on the number of grad students I choose to sleep with. A few weekends ago after a chance meeting at a recital I deliberately rebuffed one I’d f~~~ed previously despite her obvious interest in a repeat.

Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.

Nope. Not even close. With the emergence of resistant strains the writing is and has been on the wall. Females proud of having std’s? Really? Don’t think for a nano-second they will not happily let you join that club. Herpes is already a permanent condition, now joined by others. My prediction for future generations is bleak at best.

This was a major factor in my decision to go monk. One just never knows. The ones who easily put out are more likely to be infected.

I think the emergence of antibiotic resistant STDs may help quench the hookup culture. Then again, I know an idiot who knowingly had sex with a woman who was HIV positive.

You guys called it. Antibiotics don’t work anymore.

For me, the females are in the last desperate stages of baby rabies. I’m sure they would pull something to get knock up.

And honestly, I prefer to be alone.

There’s sex clinics where couples can get checked for STDs before they have sex. If the woman refuses to get checked for whatever reason, then just refuse to have sex with her and be careful about the possibility of her drugging and raping you if she has baby rabies. A vasectomy beforehand will prevent pregnancy apparently.

For me personally it is worth it. I have very few bad sexual experiences. So I still enjoy it very much and well worth the risk.

Well, if you take away the sex drive high and think about it, it’s actually a really disgusting thing to do. Everything about it sounds very very gross and vile.

I mean, I’ve seen guys who wouldn’t even drink from a bottle that another person has sipped from, or using the same fork that another dude ate with, but would be more than willing to exchange all kinds of bodily fluids with a woman because she is “hot”.

Ah, the things men do under the influence of their sex drive.

So to answer your question, objectively speaking, no it’s never ever worth it. To me, nowadays, even without the STD risk, it’s still not worth it, because I can’t even stand talking to women. And prostitution sounds like too much trouble anyway.

But, maybe it’s different for you. Maybe you like it that much, to the point where you’re willing to risk it all. It’s more of a question you should think about and answer for yourself.

Then again, I know an idiot who knowingly had sex with a woman who was HIV positive.

I assume he used a condom? i’m not implying that makes it ok, i wouldn’t have sex a woman who has HIV, with a condom. Such a foolish risk to take.

He did, but it was a foolish thing to do. Condoms have a semi-high failure rate.

The power of the pussy overwhelmed him. His HIV test came back negative 6 months later. He paid the price in worry ten fold over a fleeting pleasure.

f~~~ing something that secretes an incurable virus from it’s vaginal fluids seems like a cracking idea.

I’m only 23, will be 24 this summer, so it probably isn’t saying much, but I’ve never even tried to have sex. Zero relationship experience and zero sexual encounters. The idea of using up time and/or money to get a date and then the pleasurable sexual experience that may result in impregnation or an STD just convinces me to not even give it a try. If prostitution was legal and reasonably priced in my country, I might be willing to take the risk since the prostitute would also have a very strong incentive to also minimize these risk, but prostitution is still illegal so I stick with masturbation/focusing on other things. I really enjoy my hobbies and even some of my school work, so I don’t feel like a life without sex has diminished my opportunity to be happy.

As far as addressing my sex drive goes, I just keep things fresh by changing up the way I masturbate every once and a while. Experimentation is fun.

If I were an STD it would be worth it.
