If she does a good job, I don’t have problem. If she does a bad job it looks like social promotion.

I’ve seen good female doctors and crappie male doctors.

No one seems to get the whole gender thing. It is about quality. Not about parts you have.

Edit: having a penis doesn’t make someone magically better at something. Not having a penis doesn’t someone magically better at something.

” All that may change soon, however, as Los Angeles Times reports that after a two-day summit held by Women in Film and the Sundance Institute to address the gender gap in Hollywood, Adriana Alberghetti (an agent and partner at power agency William Morris Endeavor) managed to procure meetings for four female directors and three female writers with an eye towards upcoming Star Wars movies.”

It smells fishy… And as a MGHOW, I KNOW that when it smells fishy, it is because we have Tuna in it.

If they will give the franchise to a woman director, just in order to “fill the gender gap”, then I will see the universe that I am an “aficionado” die… This day will be a truly sad day for me.

It seems that they will give one of the biggest movie franchises to a woman, and just because she has a c~~~ a a pair of t~~~, don’t matter if she has a real talent and actually LOVE the franchise.

Will someone bet against me, thinking that she probably will turn one of the most acclaimed movie franchises in a “love story”, full of feeeeeliiiiiings, and will make a mockery of a film, just in order to p~~~ men of?

You knew it was coming, they were going to come for Star Wars sooner or later. Not the least bit surprised.

I do hope she does a good job. Star Wars IV, V, and VI are among my favorite movies. I want to keep the new ones among my favorites too.

I fully agree. I am more concerned with the director’s skills, than what is below their waistline.

I am more concerned that such a movie would become a feminist powertrip.

They could not create a more butchered “love story” than Lucas already did in Episode Two. And that was because of poor editing. If Lucas has at least kept the scene of Padme introducing Anakin to her family, and the scene Padme showing Anakin her childhood bedroom, with them discussing Padme’s past, that “love story” would have worked. The “love story” would not have been great. But, it would have worked. You can find those scenes on the SW Ep 11 DVD set. Worth a watch, and those scenes should have been included in the movie.

It’ll probably make little difference, pretty much everything out of Hollywood is SJW, male director or not.

I guess there’s still Scorcese and DiCaprio holding things down a bit, but that’s about it, and who knows when their next collaboration will be.

This upcoming Star Wars, I know it’s going to be awful. I will likely watch it off one of those pirated websites they have nowadays, they seem popular. I generally do not watch TV or movies, I was considering paying to watch this in theatres but probably that will suck and is overpriced.

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. Holy crap, Abrams must have wrecked this goddamn film.

My other thought is that they may have just done what GM did. Stick a woman out in front, who doesn’t actually (from all accounts) run the company. “Look, a chick! Please ignore the fact that we make all of our cars in Mexico, even though Toyota and Honda don’t see the need to, that our cars are garbage, and that we willfully killed hundreds of people because we didn’t want to replace an ignition system. Woman! Woman in charge, can’t sue us!”

Maybe the new series of toys has arsenic in it, or somesuch. “Woman in charge! Can’t sue us for poisoning children! Woman!”

"You can either love women, or understand women. You can't do both. Because once you understand women, you realize that there is really nothing to love."

Inevitably someone will say “It’s about time we had more female perspective in science fiction and movies… old boy blah blah glass ceiling blah blah girl power blah blah… it’s inevitable.

And then she’ll come out and say she’s “representing all women” as they always do. Inevitable.

“There are no females on the Internet.” It means we are all equal and judged on the basis of our ideas and our output… until someone claimed special privilege based in their socio-political class. And they always do.

Watch an episode of Master Chef Junior… whenever they do an inset of a boy cook he talks about his food or the other cooks or about being a kid… but the girl cooks always say “I’m here to represent girls and make sure there’s a girl winner.”

How can you HOPE to be taken seriously, much less achieve your best work when you are claiming to represent 52% of the human species?

You’ve all seen the clip of Judge Judy talking with Katie Couric, right? She sits there and says pretty much “I’m not a feminist,., I don’t even think of myself as a woman. I was a lawyer, not a woman lawyer, I’m a judge, not a woman judge. I’ve never felt my gender was a help or a hinderance, I just did what I did.” That’s how it’s supposed to work… get up there and succeed or fail on your on merits or stay the f~~~ out of it. But no, this too will become a casualty of the gender wars.

The only good part is that the mangina fanboys won’t be able to criticize it… they will have to eat it up no matter how s~~~ty it is. Actually, now that I think of it, I’m rather looking forward to that. Lucas killed Star Wars… let the feminists and simps fight over its corpse.

I'd rather die a natual death with a clear MGTOW conscience somewhere off the grid than one within "modern" civilisation with a big stress mark on my forehead and a couple of dozen tubes plugged into my body. It should be noted that the article states up to four female directors and three female writers.

That’s my biggest issue here. It sounds more like they’re trying to say they NEED a female director. If they find a good one, fine. But don’t say “FINALLY” and act like it’s a big problem that there hasn’t been one, know what I mean? None of the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit movies were directed by women, should any potential Silmarillion movie be just because it’s “never been done?” I can’t help but think they’re just potentially hiring a woman because she’s a woman, and as Justin Trudeau said so infamously, “it’s 2015.”

2015…the year the women’s true colors start showing, where they want supremacy over EVERYTHING. (This was already prevalent since feminism’s origin and gynocentrism in general…but now they’re not even afraid to come forward about it)

    This one.

We have master chef (master chef not master chef junior) edition too, and there is the judge, who always helping female contestant, for example : he help the female contestant about how to do this, how long you need to set the oven so it will not overcooked, etc.

The judges will snapped the male contestant, and became a little doggy while telling female constestant with smooth smooth voice.

This is just like Ryan Coogler, the director of Fruitvale Station and Creed, saying that the Black Panther film should be directed by a black person. I don’t care who the f~~~ directs it, as long as they do Black Panther justice.
