I’m at a point where if I don’t see another black person like me ever I would be okay. I have been told by several black people I’m not really black because what I listen to and watch. I love anime, classical music, alternative music, video games, and technology. I been called white many times because I stop listening to rap, swearing all the time, wearing baggy clothes, not finding big women attractive, and don’t smoke or drink.

Funny thing is all my old friends who are more “blacker than me” have 2-3 baby mamas, a record, addicts, no education, on welfare, on food stamps, and few are in jail for life for killing. Also the guilt my old friends and family put on me for leaving the hood and going to a better neighborhood. Also they think I’m gay for not having a girlfriend or kid by now. Well no more black women for me but like Latina women better anyways or Asian women.

I would recommend your decisions and choices in life over those of your old friends. Keep on truckin’!

I’m white, but it sounds to me like people are defining you because you don’t fit the negative stereotypes about black people. When someone tells you you’re “not black enough” because you’re not a pimpin ghetto gangsta man, tell them THEY are not black enough because they aren’t smart and successful like Herman Cain or Thomas Sowell.

Walk your own path. If others don’t like that … at minimum …. they are not friends.

You are your own measure …. frame.

No man … woman … or so called friend should sway you in this matter.

These are not true life long friends.

If you’re lucky …. you may have 3 real friends in your whole life.

Pay no mind or concern to those who wish to drag you down to a lower level of being.
If they are to lazy, ignorant, and/or undetermined to rise above the lowest common denominator.
F~~~ them off and leave them behind, be what you want and need to be.

There was a time in my life when I gave a fuck. Now you have to pay ME for it

You my friend are not alone in the “You’re not black enough” category. I have always been told that and that I’m acting white because I speak properly, don’t follow the ghetto fads and generally behave like a human being. Stay strong and continue being YOU.

So, basically, you don’t act like a complete moron, and they claim this makes you “not really black”?

Honestly, that says more about their poor self-image than anything.

It’s easier for them, to try drag you down from the ladder, than for them to actually try climb it themselves.

They seemingly have just been shaming you, because you seem to actually be aiming higher, than they are, and they are simply afraid of being left behind.

Keep walking your path my man, leave the farm, and be free.

I have been told by several black people I’m not really black because…….

We are in the second decade of a new millennium. When I was a young man, the aspiration was that race, gender, ethnic origin would no long be an issue.

The implications of your posting is that (at least for your old friends and community) that being black means being everything that you are not. Which is a young man with his own likes, dislikes, and interests. And, from what I can see, intelligence.

It also implies that race is still an issue. Almost as though there is some misbegotten attempt to retain some cultural identity through being less that what you are today. Because you don’t adhere to this cultural policy of incarceration and fatherlessness, this seems to make you a traitor. Don’t feel alone in this. White people are frequently the same way.

Continue to be your own man. Going your own way is always the surest way to happiness.

I remember three years ago when some ghetto trash specimen accused me of acting white for listening to Guitar Instrumentals. I pointed out that the guitarist was a black man and they still said I was acting white!
    What a crock of s~~~!!!!

Does this guitarist look white to you, gentlemen?

Yeah it’s sad really. I will continue to go my own way but think my relationship with many people has changed dramatically. My own Father think I’m gay and weird because I don’t act a certain way.

It’s the “crabs in a barrow” mentality. It’s part of human nature and weak people use it to destroy others who are trying to get ahead in life.

You can’t reason with people who’ve made up their minds to tear you down.

LMFAO!!!! Man, I feel your pain, but is it truly pain?

    I like this one that I hear so often,”You ain’t a REAL n~~~~!!”

Hmm. I guess because I choose clothes that fit, I have no illegitimate kids, no arrest record, no diseases, (Unless chronic heartburn counts) I don’t abuse drugs and alcohol (I am, however, a recovering alcoholic), I don’t seek to go out and disrespect others and be a nuisance, I don’t consider causing trouble and drama to be,”Keeping it Real”, In fact, My refusal to allow and/or accept ignorance from myself or others, be it friend, family, or even strangers I’m talking to.

*BTW, Seeking knowledge is taboo amongst “Real N~~~~s”. Books are the tools of the Devil. lol.*

I legally own the few possessions I have, and my money, while modest, has always been made holding a legal job? That’s when I turn to them and say,”Thanks for noticing. You keep climbing. You’ll Make it some day.”

Man, I could’ve burned down an entire FORREST with the heat of the evil stares I’ve gotten for saying that.

BTW, Anime? Possibly my favorite stuff on TV these days. As my name may have suggested, I don’t exactly listen to,”Real N~~~~” music either. lol. I’ve heard plenty of the same things you’ve heard and I don’t let them hold me down. I do my own thing according to my own desires. The pursuit of happiness guides me these days, not a bunch of people who would willingly cage and restrict themselves. There is far too much to see and do in this world, and if I cannot find those who will experience it with me, then I shall go it alone. That’s my two cents.

It is sad that in this day an age that society has been manipulated into believing that having taste in the arts, being successful, and being happy, are wrong for men.

Godeater, ignore those trying to shame you. You sound like a great guy to be around. I just regret that I likely live too far away from you to get to know you in person.

That is the biggest insult they can give to someone who acts different from the stereotypical black person. They call you white, Uncle Tom, sellout, coon, etc.

And it’s not just black people who do this. I went to a summer class where this blonde white girl who obviously liked to suck and f~~~ black people called me “so white” for speaking proper and getting an A in the class.

I like anime, video games, alternative rock, jazz and electronica. That itself separates me from 95% of the black population. I’m also not a liberal. Or a libertarian. Or a Democrat. I adore the police. I have aspirations apart from other’s expectations. And the black community just loves to drag me down to a lower level. And the moment I hang out with Caucasians I become a sellout.

Many people in my grandfather’s generation say that there should be more people like me. I agree with that.

My brother tried to bond with more black people. He ended up having only one friend who was white. Then he got into fights and got his stuff taken in high school and almost got expelled, so he was removed. He got into seven car accidents and wants to be a rapper/hoodlum.

The best you can do is just ignore them. They just keep enforcing racism.

Why does the color of the skin of a man matters?

    Just ignore those ignorant fools.

Being a good, decent man is a goal in itself.

My friend, we are in the same boat except not liking bbws. I always get rejected for not being black enough by all the women but not just blacks. i have datef 6 women who only wanted my dick and get dumped after they see another man.

    Check out this topic./forums/topic/movies-where-guy-must-improve-self-for-woman/

And trust me, women will always fall in love with celebraties, their shows, and popular guys they see on tv or in reality like fetty wepp. And if you are one of those guys who they like, rewarded. If not.

It never ceases to amaze me how many of you guys (my brothers) are actually black! All I see is the color of men! T~~~? that’s actually what I can differentiate in the print, it jumps of the screen and bitch slaps me in the face!!!
There’s only two colors I see, the first color (my favorite) is MAN and the second (my not so favorite) T~~~!
Other than that, I’m completely colorblind!
Dirtbags come in every color, they’re like crabs in misery’s bucket, always dragging the escaping crab back into the bucket! I respect and admire all of you men, color plays no part in my judgment upon assholes, I condemn them no matter what color!
