I know you will say what if there were 10 times less population . Not what i am heading at here .

EARTH TEN TIMES BIGGER . I beleave the necessaty to travel longer distances on the earth would increase the input and invention of travel , planes , which would also speed up invention of space travel . There would not have to be so much time and invention on resources like food . Larger oceans more fish and viable land for crops . No problems with polution at this time . Wild life would not be endangerd so nothing to waste there either . There wouldn’t be so many wars because there would be an abundance of resources . Less greed due to abundance of resources . Technology would of advanced to a much different point than the point of time we are at know . We would be putting time and invention to different use . The size of the earth dictates technology . Just a thought

THE PLANTATION HAS NOW TURNED INTO THE KILLING FIELDS . WOMAN ARE NOW ROLLING CAMBODIAN STYLE .

Landwhales would take up 10 times as much floor space! We’d be calling them pancake whales! YUCK!

The cube square rule indicates that as area is squared, volume is cubed.

So Earth area x 10^2 would be Earth volume x 10^3 which would make it’s gravitational pull SIGNIFICANTLY stronger (I’m not going to bother with the math)… which would mean that life as we know it would never have been possible and we’d all be gas bags floating in the air… which cuts down travel time significantly.

This is the typical TRUE MGtower answer…

    ROTFL.

But truly, if the earth was 10 times bigger humans would multiply by 10 times and have 10 more greed and the planet will be just as f~~~ed up as it is now. It’s in the nature of mankind or shall I say most of it is from “womankind”… Men do all these nasty things to the planet and go to war just to please their women. Or to impress them. (Scientifically proven)

And as far as women are never satisfied and never get enough of anything, as a result, they will also drive their man to ruin even a planet that is 10 times as big as it now.

Only MGTOW – not listening to or obeying women’s orders and not fulfilling their endless needs – will give the current planet a chance to survive.

Because: Who is reponsible for throwing perfectly good items in the trash can because they are no longer “fashionable” or because they are “too old to impress the c~~~ hive”?

    Women.

Because of them, the factories in China run overtime and contaminate the earth to produce s~~~ for our landfills.

    Do it, Doc.

If it were less dense than Earth, it is possible that land whales could exist. I cringe at the thought of how robust they’d be.

Even train wheels would have flat tires!

On a brighter note! Sweet Meteor of Death would get here 10 times sooner and hit 10 times HARDER!

    P.S.

cringe at the thought of how robust they’d be.

    I’m in hysterics!

Hey, don’t make me have nightmares… They are already very dense and they can flatten you with their body weight alone. These women don’t even have to fight you, they just roll over you to break your ribs. And I say that as a 120 kg, 6 foot 3 guy… Landwhales are for masochists.

I must admit that I used to like chicks with extra cushion and “curves” but since the late 1990’s most of them have gotten way beyond the point of attractiveness. They have become steamrollers that bury you underneath them.

That is a tragic thing when even one of the biggest men in the entire village says something like that.

And that man even happens to have a like for “bigger” and “taller” women?

It means that they have become so ugly that they should reflect why they became that way.

What does a normal man in normal size think when a land whale approaches him?

    OMG.

Even “Chubby Chasers” are now leaving the scene.

They have just become outright repulsive. Even if you enjoy huge t~~~ and giant c~~~s and you could “fill it all up”… You hear her talk, bitch and nag and you just wish yourself away. Or she has a hygiene level that makes spiders fall from the ceiling when she spreads her legs…

Wouldn’t the higher gravtitation liquify the air we know, our air has a weight of 28.836 g/mol. It’d be liquid and freezing cold (- 321°F / -196°C). Most probably we’d be looking like snails (legs wouldn’t have developed as no structure could support that 10-fold weight/gravitation). Now neither chilly temperatures nor snails are known for their speed, respectively low temperature are even linked to slow moving (atoms and molecules that is), now why exactly do you think, snails, being half-frozen and squeezed to the ground, would develop faster means of travel?

Hence the fat is beautiful campaign in the Real Fake Media®. I don’t how it is over in Deutschland, Gargamel, but I see good looking fit guys with these morbidly obese creatures. You and I are about the same age when I was a peak hornyness women were way smaller. Another thing I’ve noticed, is that in the States wealthier people tend to be fitter while middle class and poor are generally fatter especially the wimminz.

I seem to recall that around four times Earth’s gravity is considered the upper limit. It would still make for some mighty whales though.

@muglintar: Very true, it’s believed that the Hydrogen at the core of Jupiter is in a solid metallic state. That is some f~~~ing serious pressure.

Yes you are perfectly right. I didn’t turn on my brain yet because this is a very difficult question. Changing the size of the earth will change everything, especially the distance to the sun. So one side would get closer to the sun in daytime and and get so hot we would die. And the other side would get further away and freeze to death at night. That is seeing the earth in the same orbit as it is right now. But a different mass will yield a different magnetic field and it will change the orbit completely. And with it the “temperature window” we need to live.

There are too many factors that are dependent on each other that nobody could easily figure out the end result. But I see the first point: We can live because the size of the earth is “just right” for “warm in the daytime and not too cold at night”. If that would be different, we could not even have evolved the way we did.

Here’s a comment on Quora about what would be different if the Earth were 10x bigger by volume (some settling may occur in shipment) which is only a 2.2x increase in the current radius:

    1. Its velocity of orbital rotation will be 70% of original, i.e. 30% slower, even its revolution speed will recede.

    2. In order to maintain equilibrium, it will be positioned farther away from the sun.

Just think of these two effects :

because of slower speed of revolution, days and night will be longer,
because of slower orbital speed, seasons will also be longer on earth
because of farther positioning from sun, earth’s temperature will be cooler,
because of large size and distance, its atmosphere will be thinner and oxygen content will fall drastically.

And here’s a nicely illustrated video about this exact scenario.

This reminds me a question I asked a female co-worker. If the sun were a marble and had no heat or radiation could you stand on it? I said, “you’d die almost instantaneously because your heart wouldn’t be able to pump blood to your brain due to gravity let alone being immediately crushed to the surface”. To which she replied, “why would anyone want to stand on a marble?”

Not quite, liquefied gas is aprox 700 to 1, at 14.7 psi X10 that’s only 147 psi, you need to do it 47.6 more times, it’s a little more compression than hemmi with a turbo running good and strong!

if the earth was 10 times bigger I still couldn’t get far enough away from my ex c~~~.

currently 879 miles, would be 8,790. maybe far enough. lol next closest town with a failmart would be 450 miles away. Nearest bookstore would be 1650 miles. mom in fl is 17,000 miles away.

    I’m not liking this

I think the real lesson here is, when considering a hypothetical scenario, you have to consider all impacts, not just the one’s you like.

This is really feminism’s ultimate failure. The decided they wanted more independence and their version of equality while only considering the impacts they liked. The failed to consider the downsides and counter reactions.

    Ok. Then do it.

Ok . . . slight disagreement on the whole “gravity makes it impossible” thing.

And I’m an engineer, so f~~~ everyone. O.o

You’re assuming the same core in your much better planet than there is on Earth. According, G-d help me, to Wikipedia (since these theories change weekly), this week’s theory is that Earth has an iron-nickel core. If Earth had a silicon core, it would have a much lower mass (would ‘weigh less’), and would also have lower gravity.

So if your awesome 10x Earth has a core that weighs 1/10 atomically what iron/nickel does, you’re basically all set (I am simplifying a number of things, but we’re spitballing here). A lithium or beryllium core would work. Since I don’t know what that would do to livability, let’s assume a carbon-helium core (yes, I know, but why not?). Assuming no fusion occurs with the helium (the most common theory of the sun’s energy, but it’s way larger than the Earth), you’re all set.

So 10x is possible. When you find this planet, assuming no angry microscopic or macroscopic life forms that want to eat Jews, please let me know, and we will go there together and bring some Finnish girls post-lobotomy to repopulate a much better planet.

Quite serious about the possibility of this, somewhere, in the universe. It’s a big universe.

I heartily recommend you read Ringworld by Larry Niven if this theory appeals to you. A different type of habitable surface, but 3,000,000x the surface of the Earth. A classic of science fiction; many libraries should have it, or it’s probably very cheap used on Amazon.

Dyson spheres would also be cool to read about.

I’m going to go drink some apple juice out of Carl Sagan’s skull now. It’s an homage – he helped get me into science as a kid.

"You can either love women, or understand women. You can't do both. Because once you understand women, you realize that there is really nothing to love."
