My take- document everything. Lawyer up. Only communicate with her through your lawyer.

Beware of “equitable distribution”. I think “equitable” means “fair” and not necessarily “equal”. A lot of my friends lost 70-80% in family court. One wife said she was too emotionally upset by her adultery to work and that she had to be supported. And the court went along with her.
