If they were really red-pilled on women they wouldn’t spend so much time trying to obtain them. They are purple-pilled at best, not red-pilled.
Have you ever actually spoken to a PUA-type about a topic other than women? I have and mostly they had blue-pilled opinions on everything else.
MGTOW is about everything but PUA is 100% about women.
An interesting point. I have always wondered why they were included in red pilled discussions at all, but you are not alone in your opinion. I have heard many bloggers talk down upon PUA for the same reasons. They are all about obtaining women.
But they have perfected the formula for getting what they want out of women and disappearing. Sure, they are flying too close to the flame (in terms of living a true red-pill lifestyle), but mastering the art of manipulating women and bending them to your will….is that purple pilled? I think they are still red-pillers IF their end game is simply to find ’em, f~~~ ’em and flee.
I agree. PUAs have devoted themselves to molding themselves into something that is appealing to women. That said, I have nothing against a man having a hobby. Chess Masters have “scores”, so why shouldn’t PUAs. It seems silly to me … but whatever floats their boats.

All of the “Red Pill” people that I have encountered that didn’t describe themselves as having “gone their own way” simply ARE purple pill at the most. They even go as far as to make fun of MGTOW for disregarding women and “not getting some.” They do whatever it takes to get a woman in bed, and obsess over sex instead of see it as a mere pleasure. They’re the closest thing to “white knights” in the Red Pill spectrum that you can get…if that makes any sense.
Most of them would make fun of me for daring to question female nature and how men are screwed over in society today. They’re mostly those guys that will shame YOU for not being able to get a woman, not shame the women for getting to the point that they are today (ultra-feminized).
As long as they’re not getting caught in the web …. then maybe that is sort of going their own way.

Blue pill men, walk over to them, like bugs moves towards a bright light, and blow themselves up, almost right away, unless they get lucky and the fuse timer is longer than expected, but the outcome is mostly guaranteed.
PUAs goes to the grenades, believing they know the fuse timer of the grenades, but among them all are always exceptions, and more important, unbeknownst to the PUA, the field they stepped in to get to the box, is littered with mines.
MGTOW, ignores the box in the middle of the field, as his metal detector is notifying him, there’s lots of metallic explosions around.
But yet again, there are plastic items, which may or may not explode on their paths, and it’s always in the best interest of a MGTOW to stay awake, and think things through, because once in a while, a delicious trap is presented to him.
Well here’s what I believe. The PUA’s who sell books, have bootcamps etc… They know what’s going on with women and the gynocentric society but instead of telling other men the truth, they decided to make money out of it and pretend to help to give these men strategies so they can get a woman. They are scam artists, not pick up artists. I would say they are red pill but they hide it.
Now the so called students who try these pua techniques ranges from full blown blue pill to purple pill, none can be red pill. A red pill knows what the sexual energy is for and why sex is being over promoted everywhere. It’s to keep the men tired, unmotivated, procrastinating and obsessed with sex to kill their ambition.
PUA culture has used Red Pill among them, so in their context, I won’t touch it. I do believe, from a MGTOW perspective, that PUA aren’t Red Pill the way MGTOW are Red Pill at all. The thing is, MGTOW can go a decent degree PUA, but PUA have a hard time going MGTOW Red Pill, because PUA get their identity and validation from how well they can pick up and bed women. For a MGTOW, I don’t see that as any relevant measure. A MGTOW may bed a bunch of different women, but I believe they can get their identity from other things.

PUAs are not productive. Case closed. If you keep jumping around having sex and go about claiming you are going your own way your relationship life will end in disaster. Over time the sex will either bore you and you realize you wasted your life or you become desensitized and you become emotionally attached to one girl whose vagina is so unique from all the others she must be a NAWALT. Sleeping around with 200 women does not make you an expert on locating unicorns. It only desensitized you to the point you gradually relax your standards without realizing it. PUA tactics are a recipe for sexual and emotional disaster in the end. Good in the moment. Bad in the end. Nothing good or original has ever happened from the PUA movement.
I have discovered a truly remarkable list of reasons why women are not necessary for a happy life, but alas this margin is too small to contain it.
The Red Pill is simply understanding female nature.
MGTOW is one way of dealing with that knowledge. They know the risks inherent in women and apply common sense.
PUA is another. They view women as a game or sport, but have no concept of how dangerous that sport can be. They’re like the guys who show up at the race track in their street clothes with their beater honda civic with no cage and the factory seat belts but with $5000 rims and a spoiler. Sooner or later they either learn better or become a statistic.

I would agree that PUA types aren’t red-pill. If anything, they are delusional blue-pillers. My theory is that the point of PUA is molding yourself into something woman-focused which is as blue-pill as it gets. PUA-types may argue they are only pretending to bend to get what they want or that they actually “control” the women, but there are serious flaws in that idea.
Some women really just want the guy to f~~~ them without relationships so they can trap them into paying child support. These women will actually f~~~ several guys in the same month, then claim they all are the dad to get more money. PUAs are free meal tickets to them that they don’t have to do any work at all to get as they’re already angling to sleep with women. Women aren’t blind to PUAs as they are super easy to spot due them all acting the about same way from the training. He’s not actually controlling them as the women know what he is and are playing along: the “player” is getting played.
Most of the PUA culture involves hours of practice. When something is practiced enough it becomes habit, then it just comes “naturally”. You have become the mask. This means the PUA has effectively become a slave to pussy who spends all his time training/trying to get more. His personality has been replaced with a bunch of mimicked ideas made to appeal/control women, even if short-term. In the end, he’s still at the women’s mercy to get sex and thus is letting them control his behavior in a round-about way. The guy who molds all his actions and words around women is super blue-pill.
Even if the PUA argues that he hasn’t “become the mask”, he’s still spending all his time focused on women. Sure, he may get something he wants in the short term, but women like sex too and are out to play the long game even if that means screwing PUAs until one messes up. Even sadder, he will have nothing to show for it except an empty wallet and possibly STDs/kids. If anything, I’d even say a regular blue pill is a little better off as at least he can try to use the law to protect himself with things like prenups. The law isn’t on the side of an unwed “baby daddy” at all, but it sure loves an unwed “baby momma”.
In the end, PUAs aren’t red pill as they still are at women’s mercy, still mold themselves around women, and still easily fall to the same traps that non-PUA blue pills can. They’re blue-pills who chase women all day and say they are “free” just because they aren’t actively looking for marriage or a relationship. I think it’s safe to remove PUAs from the “red pill” list.

PUA are definitely blue-pillers. Think about it.
A typical mangina wants to get women. He buys them flowers, protects her, gives her lifts.
A PUA wants to get women. He gives attention to a lot a women, spends time thinking something funny to say, or acting in a way he thinks she likes.
PUA and manginas are the same, the only difference is they use different tactics and that mangina typically serve only one women while PUA serve many. But both do things for the enjoyment of women.
PUAs lie when they say they do it only to get sex. If they wanted only sex they could go with hookers spending much less. They want to make women happy, they want women to say to them they are the only one, they want the validation of the women. They will never be free, they are tricked.

I believe, from a PUA perspective (manosphere) Red Pill does have an understanding female nature. However, with MGTOW being what it is, it also will end up going on more, and other parts of the Internet pick up on it. Red Pill, from a philosophical perspective, refers to seeing the world as it is, in all its lies and deceptions (along the lines of the movie They Live) and seeing all the bull out there. I do believe it has a deeper meaning now, which is why MGTOW Red Pill is a different animal than where it came from. It can be seen also as a way to say those in the system some place are still in that place (aka, Blue Pill).

it’s a mistake to put everyone successful with women as “PUA-types”. From what I am getting, they’re not a homogenous group of people.
I also heard about a trend among PUAs. Overtime they usually stop with the begging and only use passive contrarian techniques where they are the prize. And absolutely everything is on their terms. If this is not red-pilled behavior – I don’t know what it is

“Purple pill” people generally wish to appear red-pilled while remaining blue-pilled. They can take a long walk off a short pier.
I could begin to understand the obsession with shagging and notch counts IF it represented any value. But only represents a cost and serious risk to your well being.
I met a PUA – hardcore – quite by chance over lunch some months ago. He was FLUENT and spoke perfect PUA. Pre-2005 PUA. Definitely purple pill though. We spoke and ended up hanging out for 4 hours one random afternoon and a totally chance meeting. Pointed out the website and he clicked around the site on my laptop. He shook his head in amazement and said “damn this is good s~~~”…. and was struggling with a real-life “hypergamy” situation. He never heard the word before and it was as if he was out of the scene for at least a few years.
Stereotypically “Alpha” on the exterior – in every way – and looked the part, but inside he was “dealing with stuff” that didn’t mesh. He was maybe 35-38(?) and transitioning as if PUA was not fulfilling… and the girl he was now seeing was f~~~ing him up. Meaning, she was playing games as every woman does, and he was playing along with them, scoring, and winning…. but he wasn’t made happy by it. He wanted something “real” and was starting to see it wasn’t going to happen – even though he was adept at it.
He said he never had a genuine lasting connection with any woman and largely blamed himself – as ALL men tend to do. I recommended he throw out at least 50% of that responsibility because the modern female is just not built for it anymore. A man doesn’t even have 50% of control of the outcome of a relationship or marriage even when he WANTS it to last. It was as if he never even considered that before. He was very happy to hear that and immediately shed himself of a few pounds of baggage.

I see notch counts as about the same as getting the high score at PacMan. It’s an accomplishment of a sort, but ultimately meaningless, and not really worth all the quarters they wasted trying to get it.
That being said, I don’t really have a problem with PUAs. It’s a dangerous, risky sport they play, but just like someone going bow hunting for bears, it’s their dumbass prerogative to make a jackass of themselves. Or an example. Either way their little hobby doesn’t really affect me or mine.
The only real issue I have with PUAs is how incredibly, pathetically BAD at it they are. I mean all those rules, the special jargon, the millions of ridiculous “sure fire” tips and tricks, the supposed “secret knowledge” (Only $20 to learn! Act now!), and all that useless hustle and bustle effort. It often seems like PUAs are more interested in making up silly games to get women than they are interested in actually getting women. And the worst part is they are completely missing the point. They go on and on about “game” without ever realizing the best and only way EVER to “win” is refusing to play, getting up, and walking away from the table. Once you stop playing women will do anything to get you back in their “game”. And as long as you refuse to play, the harder they will try.
No ridiculous PUA pick up line will ever have the same effect as simply telling a woman: “No.”

They spend all their time trying to get validated by women, and if that’s not enough, they try to get other men to validate them.
You’ll notice these PUAs hide in their own little areas. They are so fragile they can’t handle actually having to defend themselves anywhere else. They need full mod support and a legion of sycophants backing them up. Probably the only thing more pathetic than a PUA is a PUA sycophant. Most of the stories are BS and exaggerations. They’ll ignore 150 rejections then rank an STD riddled desperate 4 up into a 9/10 and try to brag about it. Anyone that’s seen these losers in real life is generally not going to be impressed or want to be associated with them.
They’ve constantly been exposed as losers too. And then when they finally “get lucky” these dorks tend to marry post-wall carousel riding sluts. I guess it’s deserved though, garbage with other garbage.
The problem with Western society is that the women just put out too easily and to low quality men, probably because women are all low quality themselves. The only system that makes sense is young people getting married as virgins for life. But Satan worshipers like Reagan, Betty Friedman and the rest of that ilk wanted to create a system where women are low quality, sex outside of marriage is common and encouraged, marriage occurs late if ever, and even if there is marriage it is transient with high divorce rates and rampant adultery/cheating within it.
These PUA types always existed. But in a healthy society they are few in number and get slapped around for trying, so they slink about only in the dark and hide from society. Now they’re brazen and operate right out in the open, in daylight.
