Before I tell my story/rant I should clear a few thing sup about myself just to cover all bases even though most people in this site are cool well centrered and grounded indivudals.

I Dont hate americans, america any paticualr non extreme political party even if i dont agree with their views thats just and emotional investment i dont wanna pay.

Also I dont care what your skin colour is or where you come from, if your cool person to me ill be the same to you and like you for you as a person.

Just figured id put a small disclaimer the now to cover my bases and all sorry now to the rant/story.

Ok first of all I am a white scottish guy very obvious traits, im lil shy for the most part but happy to smile and talk to your average person and be cheery when i can thats just me. That being said during summer and other times I am a lazy arse who shaves his head to like a number mostly or a number two buzz cut depending how im feeling.

I like to do this since it saves me money, im at the gym alot so i dont have to wash my hair as much due to sweat gym work out and just easy to manage and keep neat.

Pretty much because of this im suddenley a “rascist” and a “skinhead” or a “member of the alt right” and this is happening more than usual during the tourist season ( i live in a tourist city) i mean you would maybe have an odd local or two make a comment casually wondering if i am a skin head which is fine then they ask and i tell them im not and we have a laugh about it but recentley there is alot of ameican tourists comming over to my country and town just making all these bulls~~~ statements about me either being a racist or a member of the alt right even when they dont talk to me at all ! Some times its them just saying it to thier freinds when they think i cant over hear them and at other times some of them come up to me and ask if im a skinhead or even if the alt right are around in scotland which kinda p~~~es me off a lil I can admit.

Even had some canadians say the same thing even while having a freindly chat to some africans asking for directions no bother to me at the same time which made me laugh.

But maybe im just over thinking this, what do you guys think ?

I save coin by doing my own buzz, number 3 has that already grown out look and you can redo it every couple of weeks or months depending on how short you want to keep it. If I go shorter it’s harder to do a neat cut without some extra eyes on the job.

As for people judging your hair, that’s very shallow of them, it’s only hair and it’s not like it’s anyone elses business. Here’s in Oz shaved hair is a normal look, maybe more accepted because of our hot weather half the year?

When I was in high school last century I let my hair grow long. Old people (anyone over the age of 30) said I had become a subversive, a draft dodger (I registered just like everyone else), and a radical hippie. Well, I was rather proud of the fact that none of it was true. I told the old people off and went my own way. We were all doing that in the late 60’s. As an American…

In general, we don’t associate bald/shaved heads with “alt right” or “skinheads” or whatever. I know tons of guys like this and they are from all walks of life.

Don’t read too much into what “tourists” do or say. They represent a small subset of their culture.

I would propose an alternative to “cancel out” the Nazi effect.
Wear a Tie, or a properly groomed beard (counter intuitive for practical purposes)
or a pink shirt. pink shirts are always good camouflage and will bamboozle the heck out of the naysayers.

Also, like Bill indicated: they scan you from head to toe in a microsecond- just like you do with others.
If “neonazi” or “racist” is their outcome, then it is likely not down to your buzzcut alone.
