During the divorce, my wife only wanted the sweet little girl dog. She didn’t want her brother. These 2 were so attached and bonded with each other, that I begged my ex to either take them both, or leave them both. She persisted with her selfishness.
I literally cried as I privately said goodbye to the girl dog, and told her to have a good life and never think she did anything wrong. She just locked into my eyes and licked my face.
I got a call about 5 days later: “Come get her, she won’t eat! She just lays on the floor wimpering, and she pooped on my new carpet…” This dog was perfect as far as potty training, and my wife was now leaving her all alone for 16 hours a day, so she could go clubbing after work etc.
She literally had to be in my lap the entire drive back home. Normally very well behaved and obedient, she literally squirmed her way through the gap in front seats, and refused repeated commands, for her to “get back” or “No”, and my pushing her back, so I ended up driving with her laying on my lap the whole trip.
Anyway, I always think of the blessing it is to have her back, and her and her brother will now be together for the rest of their lives. It is my last mission in life, to see these 2 through so they never know an angry blow, and that they felt loved their entire lives. Something I never got to know in my life…

F~~~ man! Women are like a f~~~ing tornado, destroying everything in their path.
When xW moved out with my daughters, the dog stayed with me. The girls had grown up with the dog – from ages 3 & 7.
From the day they moved out, they never asked about the dog, much less made any effort to see him, even when nearby.
That was when I realized they had had their souls removed by their disordered minder.
“So much of what is best in us is bound up in our love of family, that it remains the measure of our stability because it measures our sense of loyalty. All other pacts of love or fear derive from it and are modeled upon it.”
