I felt love

Not from a woman but from my dog. We were at the park and I noticed he could not find me, once he did he raced toward me and I saw the joy and relief in his face.

I know what the cynics will say he only cares that his belly is full and has a warm bed. But I have seen the difference with my dog. When I was at my worst in my life who was at my side following me around the house at 2am when I was on sucide watch?-my dog. When I passed out from sickness and couldn’t get up who was at my side when I woke up?-my dog. I read stories all the time how a dog saved a man, this is love, perhaps it’s not the love you hoped for or imagined as a child but it’s love in its purest form.

Jesus once said the greatest love is to lay down ones life for his friends. I’m willing to bet more dogs than women lost their lives to save men.

I like the way dogs wake up in the morning all happy to see you as if they were absent for a week! They wake up on the right side of the bed! Every morning I see this and try to remind myself to do the same!

Doge are Awesome! I owe my life to one that leaped into a pool and pulled me out when I was 4 years old! A Collie too! Smart dog!

I get a kick out of going on a 30 min run, and having them act like we were parted for weeks when I return home.

I have experience much love from dogs. Probably more than I ever have from humans. They are loyal, and true joy bringers.

I think you are right- I know of several situations where a dog saved someone’s life. I personally don’t know many women who have sacrificed anything. The first thing I will do when I retire is buy a dog.

i’m in total agreement with hominid. dogs are social creatures with a pack mentality. they’re very much like men in the fact that they gain satisfaction in service, altruistic acts and general selfless behavior for the benefit of something greater than themselves. you’re the pack leader my man, your dog loves you because he wants to show how great of a pack member he is.

cats on the other hand, like women, very much display behavior you mentioned about only being around to take advantage of what’s provided (Briffault’s Law). there have been a number of accounts where a person with cat/s died and wasn’t discovered for some time and the cat began to consume the body. a good dog would probably die before it chose to do that.

Thanks for sharing that Wally. At my darkest times, I always had Labradors at my side. They were such a comfort too. Dogs can sense our emotions. Nothing has a purer love than a dog. Dogs are everything a modern woman simply cannot be.

I’ve a young Beagle now. Everyday is an adventure with him. Today, I get to replace the broken LCD screen in my laptop thanks to his enthusiasm after seeing me arrive home.

That is why i treat my dog better then women. There is no risk of being accused anything by my dog i have never been accused by the dog nor if i left it my dog could never take half of everything i own.

My dog has never acted irrationally and tried to fight me and get white knights against me because i offended the c~~~.

This is a refreshing change to the ex c~~~ waking up and being the most miserable creature you can imagine until about noon. All because she was “not a morning person”.
