I am so very p~~~ed off with my body in several ways. I bike ride 2 hours an afternoon 6 days a week, I eat better, I drink water 90% of things I drink, I’m taking CLA Core and Shred Matrix and my body refuses to drop a single pound since being stuck at 249.

Earlier today I go to the gym (first time since July 13), and I almost threw up twice (once in the steam room, and another doing 60 reps of oblique twists). Plus every workout I did or tried to do, my arms felt too sore and weak to do it. Plus even with 2 bottles of Amino Energy water, I still felt more like taking a nap than energized. I tried to do a hanging knee raises to workout my stomach belly fat, and my arms felt like they were tearing out of my shoulders.

So basically every time I do something or eat something for the sake of good health and wellness, my body seems to be preventing me from making the slightest progress. So I try to workout and my body feels too weak to do a lot of it; I don’t eat or drink crap and I still can’t shed a pound. It’s as if my body is telling me to f~~~ off every time I do something right.

I wonder if my heavy gut has something to do with why I struggle worst with stomach workouts. I want to do knee raises, but I have a hard time holding onto the pull up bar, and swinging just makes it tougher.

It’s getting close to the point I’m considering using my Medicaid and seeing a nutritionist and get some answers to why my body refuses to shed weight with the foods I eat and the bike riding I do several hours a day for years.

Maybe if I started out with resistance bands, I might work into weights. To think I wanted to consider CrossFit some day.

    Theoretically not posible.
Lets put it this way, you get fat becouse you eat more energy than you burn with exercise… THATS IT.

You eat better? what does that means?

Its not only about quality is about quantity too.

When i got divorced i was badddd like real bad. i wast eating at all and was running like a maniac i lose 7 kg in 10 days.
What you eat for break fast? Mid day and dinner?
And those energetic sport drinks.. got a s~~~ load of sugar… not good if you trying to lose weigth.

    Were you diagnosed with hypothyroidism?

I don’t know your story, but I’d cut that Shred weight pill or crap out. All natural food and drink is the way to go. I’m very skeptical of pills sold by the likes of those snake oil salesman types hawking their wares.

Take a few days off. .
You can over train. .you need recovery time.
Then starve off the weight. .
Eat very little for a few days. .

From what you wrote i would say you need to take a look at calorie intake rather than increase sports activity. Bike rides are good but i find them poor way to drop weight, could possibly work with interval training at 170 hbpm.

Dont know what type of traing you do but casullaly strolling or base training at 120 hbpm will not burn fat.

Training and weight lifting will also increase muscle mass so again you dont lose weight.

I would advise to drop everything you have there on your list, pills, special drinks, special workout machines, all bulls~~~ sold to you. You need water, calorie intake control, and continue to workout. Or even lose weight first with 2 weeks semi starvation mode. I am not expert, but i am reasonably fit for all my life.

We were not made for sitting jobs, sugars, etc. the best i felt was when i had a lifestyle where i was walking 3 hours per day.

    1. You are trying to hard to start with. You need to progressively build up the intensity. You sound impatient. Accept it will take time to burn ofoff what took you time to put on. Be consistent and be sure to have a rest day every week and a rest week every 9th week.

    2. You are eating more energy than your body requires. I only eat one meal a day and make sure I eat enough nutrients and calories to recover and get me through to my next meal. You can do the same but it may take getting used to. Other have the classics 3 meals, other 6 meals, but all only eat the nutrients and calories needed to achieve our goals. You want a consistent calorie deficit to lose weighT over time.

    3. Don’t think of exercise as training, rather think of it as practise. Practice the technique of each exercise. Some do this to failure, others to success (meaning until thy can no longer perform correct technique but before failure).

    My two cents.

Weight loss is calories in vs. calories out.

If your weight remains the same, it means you’re eating as many calories as you’re burning.

You don’t have to work out at all to lose weight. You just have to eat less calories – notice i didn’t say less food, just less calories.

Check out myfitnesspal.com. Fantastic app for tracking calories.

Check out BodyBuilding.com too, lots of great info there

Without knowing your height and frame size I can’t
really comment except that good abs are 70% diet &
    30% gym.

Try the Elliptical machine,it’s a much better low impact
cardio exercise than just riding a bike.Find out your
max heart rate try keeping it there for five minutes
    then work your way up.

I would cut the supplements too, that shredder stuff is BS and regular water will do the trick too.

Put your diet plan into My Fitness Pal and see how it
stacks up,again with out knowing what/how often you eat
I can’t give more advice than this.

Sounds like you’re doing too much core work and not enough other exercises, try to start with a simple
compound routine just one hour/day 3x a week with cardio
    on the off days.

Remember BE PATIENT ,getting in shape is like good investing,it takes time, commitment, dedication and focus.
Oh yeah make sure you’re getting at least 8hrs rest per night, can’t stress that enough.

    Good luck Brother!

    Ditto

Use a calorie app like Lose It or myfitnesspal.

Exercise has very little effect on weight loss. It’s great for blood pressure, strength, metal health and many other things but very marginal for weight loss. Only calories in/out make a significant difference.

Note that these are newer findings and are debunking some older schools of thought.

I’m trying to lose weight, and it’s working, I’ve lost a lot over the last year. I’m doing the same exercises I did in my 20’s: Aerobic/cardio. I jump on the Stair machine for 45 min, every other day. I sweat quite a bit but bring a towel so it’s not a problem. It gets my heart rate up and speeds up my metabolism — I have a sedentary job. From what I’ve read, it isn’t so much the resting metabolism that increases, but the oxidation of fat increases for about 24 hours after the exercise. There is also a lot of variation between individuals, though. And some people will change behavior with exercise — i.e. they’ll just eat more to compensate. I don’t eat a lot of refined sugar. I’m in my mid 40’s now, so I only take it up to about 160 htbpm. I feel MUCH better than I did a year ago when I started this exercise program, and look better too. You can’t expect results overnight. I don’t even weigh myself but I’ve gone down in pant size.

I’m also eating better too. That is critical.

I joined the cheapest gym I could find that is ON MY WAY TO AND FROM WORK AND 5 MIN FROM MY HOUSE. Then, it’s easy to go.

I drink diet cola. LOADS of it. I disagree with the media that it makes you fat. I’ve seen no difference in my weight loss rate when I drink water vs the diet cola. Now, I DO agree high fructose corn syrup soda DOES make you fat, but as others posted, it’s all calories in vs out. I drink no alcohol, and do not smoke.

I’ve never struggled with weight but know mates who have.

Eat less, avoid alcohol, avoid sugar, drink water most often, workout alot.

A little bit alot of the time, not a monumental effort that can cause burnout or a drop in your immune system.

If you want to workout all day go hiking, your body can recover easily.

My brother took to cycling with alot of weight loss success too. Doc said he had to loose 10kg, he lost 20+ easily, with the bonus of being a mountain bike trail masher.

If time is an issue get night lights, adds to the fun.

As for nutrition, try to eat close to what nature intended, what is easily identified in the wild.

A fish is a fish. Apples are apples. Deep fried Mars Bar, f~~~ed if I know what’s in it?

    This movie opened my eyes…

Fitness work takes time, focus on fun not result, but do the workouts, eat well, binge less, and get some good shut eye.

First thing to look at is raw calorie numbers.

Every little thing. Even if its a raisin. Count the total calories each day for a week. If you are younger and as you have indicated, you exercise, you generally will need up to 1800 calories a day.

If you really want to peel the weight off drop the daily calories to 800. At that level you need to cut out all sugars, most highly refined carbs (white bread, white rice, corn) and make sure to get enough protein. This will keep you from losing muscle mass as your body scavenges your fat cells for energy. If you work a desk job, reducing the total calories will knock you off the plateau you are on and get you to lose the weight.

talk to a nutritionist. i did. she told me to eat 3 balanced meals (balanced by carbs, fat and protein), a snack in between each meal and one after dinner. i honestly felt like i was always eating but i was never hungry and weight came off with exercise. she gave me meal plans and recipes that even i could make and i hate cooking. starving yourself is bulls~~~. don’t do it ever. give yourself recovery time. intense leg day, intense upper body day, cardio, light leg day, light upper body day, rest on the weekend.

I m sure u CAN do that! As far as i see what u wrote u are just going the wrong way, i guess your Body Needs something else to drop the Pounds and get the physique you want to.
    Here is my tip:
    1. Keep up your healthy diat (lots of vegetables, lean meat, less carbs and NO sugar except of a small treat now and than to motivate yourself)
    2. Start a strength Programm (Crossfit would be very good for example) otherwise get yourself a powerrack and a barbell and Keep going with the following exercises (backsquats, frontsquats, overheadpress, benchpress and deadlifts) you can watch youtubevideos to learn the right form. U can do programs like starting strength 5×5. Reduce your Training to 3-4 sessions a weak but instead do them more instense, concentrated and focused. Adding muscle will also give you a better look and burn lots of calories.
    3. Bevore every meal drink 0,5L of warm water.
    4. Dont buy any more Softdrinks or Crackers after you emptied your stockpile at home (if its not at home u cant eat it)
    5. Dont hurry, physical Progress is not a short term goal but a Lifestyle and never ending journey. Measure your Progress by the weight of your barbell, the amount of reps you kill and the energielevel you feel inside, not by watching in the mirror or watching your bodyweight. I guarantee if you Keep disciplined you will be another man in 6-12 months!

Wish u a strong willpower and lots of success!

Drink lots of coffee in the morning, speeds up your metabolism.

See if you can walk a couple of hours a day , drink lots of water cut out bad carbs , chicken, fish , veg and fruit it will drop (subject to no thyroid health issue)

Training too hard is a bad idea as it equals pain the mind will tell you its not fun , many people join gyms after xmas then stop 6 weeks later.

Leave something in the gym as a beginner then you will want to return.

As has been said its calorie intake.

I don’t indulge in sugar, I drink water 90% of the time (I prefer flavored), I do eat fish, chicken, and vegetables. I’ve only had like 4 sodas in the past 4 months. The only non-water I drink is skim milk and 3 Coors Lights on the weekends. The only things dietwise that my body is responding well to is the large quantities of protein I take in, because I do feel the muscle separation in my arms and legs. Protein is definitely not my problem.

I did do a workout at the gym yesterday, and my body was telling me no to most of it. Serves me right to do a workout on just water mixed with Amino Energy and no food. I did forget to pack a lunch; my bad. It may of served me bad for doing a stomach workout while being empty.

The only thing I can say positive about yesterday’s workout is that I did do heavier triceps pull-downs and extensions to the point I now have that muscle sore feeling I enjoy in my triceps and rear deltoid.

I have a number for a nutritionist that my doctor referred me to.
