Just yesterday I was discussing with my father that SJW culture is so annoyingly about forcefully cramming political commentary into things that it repels the non SJW viewer and gets them so sick of it that they start to avoid watching any new movies that have it.

Like he pointed out the reason we even didn’t become interested at watching the new super hero movies like Black Panther or Wonder Woman when those when those were announced is because we knew there would be political commentary and unsolicited moral preaching.

For example, had Black Panther been made at the 90’s or at the early the early 2000s both of us would have watched it and probably enjoyed it because at that time the focus would have been on storytelling and the protagonist’s race would just be a detail instead of being the main selling point.

In contrast we loved all of the Blade movies (and most if not all of the movies with Wesley Snipes as well) and many other black super heros (like Static Shock) and action movies with black protagonists because the focus of those works was at the stories, the personality of the characters, and the action.

Back then there wasn’t any overly noticeable agenda that would get in the away of you enjoying the movie.

I guess the same applies with this fat super hero thing. The concept is pretty stupid but had it been executed back when we knew they would try to give it good storytelling and would probably be more way more humble about it then perhaps more people would give it a chance.

Nowadays that they have disrespected their consumer base and repelled us away? No chance.

Movie making is a business. If the current big studios keep wanting to push out crap to push political agendas and the average guy doesn’t want to pay for their crap, they’ll either stop doing it when their bottom line is taking a hit, or smaller studios willing to create good s~~~ will pick up market share.

Totally agree, Ghost busters lost an estimated $75 million, that pretty much guarantees there will not be a sequel. Solo had a female producer and looks like it is going to lose money as well.

There is only so much money studios will be prepared to lose making these films nobody wants to see before they throw in the towel.

Not to mention they’re busy s~~~ting all over the viewers because we’re all sexist, racist, toxic, etc every time one of their s~~~ty movies bombs. I’m pretty sure their reaction to people not liking a movie is p~~~ing people off more than a bad movie ever could.

Just imagine going into a restaurant, ordering a well done burger, having it brought to your table dripping blood, then being cussed out the front door by the owner who insists you don’t know what a good burger is when you complain and ask to have it thrown back on the grill for a couple more minutes. That’s pretty much what is going on when these s~~~ty movies are not well received by the general public.
