No. What hurt Ghostbusters the worst was the marketing. A quick web search will show you how the vile rhetoric that was spewed by people slamming those who didn’t want to go see the movie. Sony essentially was insulting the very people who they needed to go see the film, all while pandering to the SJW crowd. A crowd that isn’t known for it’s spending power.

In this case we’ll probably see a limited release and a big splash made at all of the gay film festivals. All likely to happen is the major source of revenue coming from net distributions. Possibly institutional buyers like universities and school districts too.
