Brothers pardon me, if I got somenthing wrong here, but the original question “how long does this MGTOW thing last?”, is actually worth of spending a thought upon.

To me it seems, MGTOW is the actually a thing, that has been there forever. Doesn’t matteer what label you put on it, but the principle of experienced men, “experienced” not necessarily elder, passing their knowledge of the world on to younger men or to each other.
I imagine, Cavemen sitting round a camp fire, telling each other about all kinds of things, developping ideas on how to progress further and balancing these by the wisdom brought on to them. This somehow makes sense.

There is this common misconception of MGTOW being a (women hater’s) movement, no, it is not. You’re getting this reaction, because the men here are aware of your subtle insult. We’ve seen it all before. Sure, you act like you’re asking a simple question, but your preconceived negative connotation is clear as day.

Your assumption that you think of MGTOW as a phase means that you believe that something is wrong with a MGHOW. When a person goes through a phase, the idea is that they need to go through the phase because there is something wrong with them. A drug addict goes through a rehab phase to get clean. A woman goes through a diet phase to lose weight. A teenager goes through a rebellious phase to develop independence. A woman goes through a marriage phase to secure financial resources. People who go through phases do so because there is something wrong with them that they want to fix.

There is nothing to fix in an MGHOW. Nothing broken. Suggesting that a MGHOW is broken, needs to be fixed is an insult. Thus members reacting as if they’ve been insulted should have been the result you expected. The members were not fooled by you non-clever attempt to disguise the insult as a question.

That said, there are reasons, conditions, why MGTOW have chosen to GTOW. If those conditions were to change, many MGTOW may opt to interact with women and society more than they do now. None of those conditions have to do with man himself, but society and the laws that allow women to treat men so poorly without any repercussion’s.

Exactly. At a base level, this website is just men getting together shooting the s~~~. Like we used to do around a campfire, while working on a car, or at the corner bar. And when you were a kid you got exposed to it by your dad.

What’s that young guys? What’s this “dad” I speak of? Oh, that’s the guy that sends your mom a check every month. In the “old days” he used to live in your (his) house and you used to have access to him and his wisdom every day. But mommy decided that you didn’t need his influence in your life.
