OK I’m gonna be honest guys it depends on the situation. I guess I’m still a bit of a White Knight here since that was how I grew up and was raised but when I saw the following clip I think I would just walk away and leave this woman to whatever fate awaited her.

I would call the authorities same as I would do for anyone.

The thing with putting yourself in danger is you risk making yourself an extra victim and also create another person to save for the emergency service workers and increase the risk for them. It might sound heroic to jump in and try and save her but it’s stupid.

Here’s a thread I wrote on here about what happened in Melbourne, Australia a few years back when 2 White Knights tried to save a stripper that was being pushed into a car by her biker boyfriend – /forums/topic/when-white-knights-get-themselves-killed-and-make-things-worse/

The biker shot both of them, the stripper lived, one of the WN’s died he was married with kids.

Moral of the story : You never know who you are putting your life at risk to save, sure she might be Mother Teresa, but more likely she is some dumb whore.

Why the hell would I risk my own life for a woman that would keep a thumb up her ass if the roles were reversed?

The risks outweigh the rewards. The potential risks include my not being around any longer and my two youngest being full time with their narcissistic, shrewish, hen pecking mother. It just wouldn’t be fair to my two kids.

I would do as much as possible to help another HUMAN who asks for needs help. If someone tells me to f~~~ off they are on their own. I am also aware of my own limitations. You must be aware of your own limitations as a human and not think you are superman. Forget you are not superman then two people would need saving. If the other is a woman she gets rescued first.

The problem is they were trying to save her and she was trying to save her car. In this case I would have walked away.
In other cases, it depends, I guess pretty far, as I value human life regardless. I would try to save anyone from EXTERNAL threats, but never from stupid s~~~ of their own making. Let them learn.
Kids however, save first, teach lesson later.

When I was younger I would have been one of the White Knights. Now, it is simply a matter of cost / benefit analysis. If we tell the girl to get out, and she stays in the car, it’s a no-brainer. A car is to the water what a truck is to a train. The water wins every time.

The worst part of the video is watching the men still trying to save the woman while their brother is struggling and in need of dire help just 20 feet away. They chose to help the girl save her luxury item rather than to easily help the man save his life.

Yeah, I would give the human in distress a helping hand. I would not risk my life for an ingrate, and not many other people either. It’s a very short list.

Edit: There is a scam that happens once in a while in my neck of the woods. A woman is standing by a car with its hood up. She is well dressed, and the car is expensive and a late model. Some good Samaritan stops to help. That’s when the rest of the carjackers pop up and rob him of his car and all his valuables. These days, I haul out my cell phone and call the authorities. They will fix her up with a tow truck, if that’s what she needs — but they won’t get robbed if she’s a carjacker’s accomplice.
