Just interested in how individuals here see themselves in relation to today’s politics. How do you describe yourself? What views are dear to you and what are anathema? Be as general or specific as you like.

Or tell me to mind my own business 🙂

    Overton Window

I’d like to learn something new today, so links and authors/thinkers very much appreciated.

    Cheers.

    Personally I’m a conservative with a small ‘C’

Right of Center. Small government. Not much intervention.

    More
    Sovereignty to the country.

I suspect that it would be wise NOT to reply to this question. We have too many hostile watchers.

I don’t describe myself to normies any more, waste of time. They are literally too thick to deal with seeming paradoxes. Even I fail to properly describe myself as I can’t be put into a ‘bracket’, I believe in controls for immigration and that state intervention can be sensible for things like housing, transport etc., at the same time I hold freedom of speech and the right to personal and national sovereignty in high regard.
Yeah… f~~~ labels. Labels get us into this mess. It’s perhaps naïve but I always thought the better way is to rationally analyse policies on their own rather than choosing one ideology and having to run with that particular doctrine.

I suspect Monk is very much correct. More or less it is all political here. Any feminist would see every post as such. Same with any liberal. Each and every mgtow is hated as much as possible. While I have not asked a liberal of a feminist, I suspect they would see us all as the furthest reaches of conservatism.
    Personal responsibility
my needs not a woman’s or what society thinks
spending my resources in a manner I want for my needs
keep government out of my life, I can live it the way I see fit

Adjust the wording and context a little and it is basic conservative ideals.

Politically, I just Have No F~~~s Left to Give about ANY of them.

Regardless of the party they claim to belong to, they’re all there for THEMSELVES FIRST for a whole host of reasons, and the may claim otherwise, but that’s NOT the REALITY.

Monarchist, preferably with limited constitution and in practice mostly absolute

    Ditto
I wouldn’t count out zombies as “absolute fantasy.” There are multiple ways a zombie type virus could be created in a lab and then “accidentally” released. And a lot of social engineering has been having to do with either a zombie apocalypse or nuclear. So both are still high on my list of SHTF scenarios.

Far Right Libertarian, bordering on Anarchist. I think the world would be a better place without Government, or at least strive for the least amount of Government possible. Zero intervention when it does not directly concern us unless it is to protect a slaughter of a group… Which we don’t do, we support the oppressors in the Mid East (Israel) not the oppressed (Palestinians).

I am fine with Socialism, sounds weird right? See, the thing is, I am fine with Socialism as long as it is done OUTSIDE the reach of Government. People should create the world, not have their money taken and then some other people decide what to do with it, which is more often than not War that most people don’t want. People should be able to take their money and fund groups/causes THEY WANT, if it be Socialist in nature, fine. I see many Christian groups who are very generous, yet they are usually Right Wingers. People are mostly good, let them do as they please with their money instead of having it diverted into special interest nonsense that they more often than not don’t agree with, whether it be abortion or war or whatever…

Murray Rothbard, Ayn Rand, and Ron Paul would be my biggest influences.

Many don’t understand that Ron and Rand Paul’s non interventionism originates from Any Rand.

“Objectivists advocate laissez-faire capitalism. Under capitalism, a strictly limited government protects each person’s rights to life, liberty, and property and forbids that anyone initiate force against anyone else.”
