I’m not Indian, but as the second biggest population in the World and modernizing/globalizing/feminizing at the rate that it is your parents are behind the curve.

In India parents were aborting daughters decades ago. As a male you are the prize. You will chose, when you want, who you want.

Make it clear to your parents that they can’t sell you below value in the World of 2018 just because they are eager. As an international power, Indian parents are hurting themselves and even the future of your country by trying to arrange marriages for their children.

The future doesn’t care about tradition. Arranged marriage might have been ok before, but it hinders you in the search for a daughter in law to elevate them… and just don’t ever commit. They’ll die eventually, so will you. How you spend the days between today and that day are what define your life.
