As others said, you are going to lose your friend anyway, so why not lose him now, that is cheaper?

    I vote for “no”.

First four notes of the funeral song and here comes the bride are the same.

    Dah dah dit dah.

"It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."

You don’t need an excuse when a simple “no” will do.

“I wish you well in your coming union. Unfortunately, I am unable to attend.”

I agree. I never like lying. There is no need to plead a phony excuse. The truth is always better.

Just send them one of the more expensive greeting cards and be done with it.

If they can’t take the truth, then f~~~ ’em.

Don’t say s~~~ just send the invitation back with they will not attend.

Or don’t send it back and don’t go.

    Hi Gents,

I have good news. I have replied to the wedding invite.

I took the honest, I don’t need to lie, grab em by the pussy approach and told him that I won’t be going because it is ‘just too far away’. He didn’t reply to my message. I suspect this is the end of our friendship. My heart goes out to him, he would be living a true nightmare.

Despite all of this, my couch and fridge full of cold beer is available to him when she kicks him out of his own home.
