"Hate Crime" for cat-calling in public

I just watched the local news on TV, not something I do too often as it usually boils my p~~~ and today was no exception.

There was a segment on “hate crime” featuring some post-wall blonde haired women who clearly thinks shes a lot more attractive than I would give her credit for, who was blabbering on about how shes harassed in the streets and how she has to psyche herself up before leaving her home.

She had a secret camera on her and walked down a street in, from what I could tell, not the best of areas and blokes were saying “alright sexy” and general compliments such as that. Yes if someone randomly called me sexy, I would take that as a compliment. It then cut to a different area where she then walked past someone who had a professional camera who looked to be generally taking photos of the landscape, she turned around and said to him “why are you taking photos of my legs?” He genuinely looked shocked and said “I’m just taking photos of the buildings”

Anyway it is now classed as a hate crime to pay women a compliment in public. They class it as gender based hate crime. No doubt if I went to the police everytime a women smiled at me, they would arrest me for wasting police time. You can find all the “alarming” statistics here:

58% of people first experienced harassment when they were between 10-15 years old
The most common forms of harassment were being honked at in a vehicle and someone making a comment about their appearance (both 78% of respondents)
70% experienced being called a pet name by a stranger
67% were regularly whistled at
76% of people experienced street harassment during the day
98% of harassers were male and 92% of respondents were female
81% of people had not reported the harassment they experienced to the police

I’ll continue doing what I’ve been doing for the last 13 months, full ghost every woman, no eye contact, only talk if I have to. I wonder how long it will be before that is a crime too.

Truthfully I haven’t heard of anyone going to jail for a microagression, so that sounds like a safer route.

And really a microagression? They push far enough and they will end up having to deal with a lot of true aggression on a large scale.
