    They could vote in local and state elections, just not federal. It’s strange man. We got rid of alcohol and gave women the right to vote a few years apart from each other.

    Yeah, I’ve noticed that too. Almost at the exact same time really. I did some research into it and found that the Temperance movement and Women’s Suffrage movement are indeed connected.
