Used to be a time a motorcycle was a masculine right of passage.

    Also, kids can’t afford them.

Try to sell them to girls.

Never met a hot chick who owns a Harley. They’re all either “heavy” or lesbians.

HD priced themselves out of the market. Forty years ago, HD was making mid-level motorcycles that were more affordable than a car, and had a reputation of having quality engines.

HD became a victim of their own success. During the 1990’s, HD started moving there production line to be more and more higher end, in an attempt to capture some of the baby boomer retiree money.

This included creating their dealerships, instead of using third-party dealerships.

Then, the bottom fell out of the market in 2007. Instead of going back to basics, streamline and try to savage their market, they dump the masculine product image, which p~~~ed off their male customers, and they tried to sell high end motorcycles to women, whom have no interest in motorcycles, especially expensive motorcycles.

How, HD is sitting on a large inventory they cannot move, with a host of dealerships with nothing the market wants to buy. Their dealership and labor expenses are financially bleeding them dry.

“The Heavy Lesbians” I could see that emblazoned on the back of the leather jackets of an all female biker gang.

i know squat about bikes, but, after googling some images some of these Harleys seem to be

    well-crafted
    expensive
    stylish
    bikes of yesteryear
    like a 1970s Muscle car
    big for the purpose
    very Visible
    very Audible

No woman will ever allow a man to buy/operate such.

They never diversified, they should have developed their own line of crotch rockets!

Everyone else went to “lean forward” stability, design, handling, and HANG THE F~~~ ON!

Harley is the model-T of motorcycles!

Things would have been different had they invested in a modern performance line of motorcycles to compete with current advancements!

    Lean forward examples:

Yea probably not a good idea to market these bikes to women. Ever seen one fall over? It takes 2-3 grown men to pick them back up.

    Young Men are NOT INTERESTED.

For two reasons. Society has screwed over young men to where young men have no way to make any meaningful amount of money to afford such motorcycles. And most young men cannot afford the insurance to be allowed to use such motorcycles, which forty years ago bikers were not required to have.

Harley made sport bikes, the Buell. One of their employees built the bike, started their side business, then Harley bought the company from the ex employee.

The last 15 years they have been going downhill. The 100th anniversary (15 years ago) they had Elton John headline their concert.

They obviously are not in touch with their core demographic, and are catering to blue pill cucks (think doctors, lawyers, etc) who want to purchase an image.

That’s why I bought a Yamaha cruiser. I don’t want to be associated with these wanna-be soy boy harley riders. I didnt buy my bike to fit in with a crowd, I live to ride. Not to mention, paying almost 1/2 of what a new Harley costs, it was a no brainer.

Don't chase tail. Turn yours around, walk away, and live free!

Getting rid of Eric buell and not going further in development and use of the vrod motor was another disaster.its almost like someone who works for Harley is purposely trying to sink that company.

A big problem with HD is that they are cornered into their own market. What is a Harley? Its not water cooled, no overhead cams, long stroke V twin. Chrome, or blacked out. Chain or belt drive only. For the most part HD bikes are old school American motorcycles and thats what 90% of HD buyers buy and expect from Harley. Harleys bikes out side its spectrum therefore dont do well. Why buy a Harley XR1200 when the Triumph Scrambler is very close and cheaper? Harley has mastered their market and failed in all other bike markets. Look what happened to Buel. Harley engines in moderen bikes. The market on a whole rejected the whole sub brand.

All in regaurds to road bikes not flat track bikes.

Harley also used to mean sonething. Grungie bad to the bone salt of the earth men rode Harleys. With the introduction of Hondas clean friendly dealerships, Harley had to change its market to compete and survive. Hence the cookie cutter dealerships of mechandised Harley t-shirts to coasters partly trageting the rich doctor lawyer pussie boys who want to play bad boy on the weekend, and maximizing profit of their name.

The only folks buying Harleys are hardcore oldtimers, the orginal greasy Harley crowd, the wealthy weekend warriors who are posers, and the guys that want a true Harley. They are stuck in their niche of the motorcyle market. Buyers dont buy Harleys that are not a proper Harley.

If I could be safe on a bike I wouldn’t mind using one sometimes, I worry about other drivers not paying attention and being f~~~ed permanently for taking a bike ride. Not worth it.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

Harley Davidson has never been the same after his sons took over the business.

You use to be able to go to 1000’d of independent bike shops and Dealers. Hell, it was best to buy one second hand since it had tons of upgrades and things made for the bikes were made by INDEPENDENT PEOPLE.

They kind of lost their way. Being big and making money was never a hard core thing at Harley Davidson. It was all about being able to fix your own bike. Cheap parts, and you could work on it in your own garage or backyard.

Harley Davidson also use to mean FREEDOM. But now, it’s just like buying a damn car. 7 years of payments. Who needs that? And besides, most guys bought the bikes so that they could use them for basic transport since having a Motorcycle did not require a licence at one time. That’s where they should of dumped any money they made. Keeping the freedom part. They lost.

You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home
