Now they are moving overseas. They were always the made in America brand. They continue to cut their own throat.

    Let them go.

Let them go down the toilet for all I care.

    They USED to mean something.

Now, they are Overpriced Overrated Motorcycles for weekend wanna be bikers that are actually old attorneys, accountants, dentists, and retired guys that parade around in their leathers on weekends pretending to be all that.

I would be embarrassed to be on one.

They have only moved manufacturing of those parts ALREADY destined to be shipped overseas and put into those bikes made overseas. No since in paying tariffs for parts that are destined for EU bikes.

Germany, Italy, Taiwan, Japan and Mexico are the locations that have Harley plants.

This may wind up backfiring on them, but they have no choice in the matter. Politics hitting home in a hard way.

There’s a reason I will only ever ride Suzuki. Okay, two reasons. The other reason is I literally flipped one, broke both wrists, and the bike continued to ride flawlessly until I later sold it to make ends meet.

Agree. I actually have a Harley.

Right after I purchased my last one, HD decided to bust-up the Union. I have a real good buddy that worked there at the time.

They did this by outsourcing labor to a ‘temp’ company.
    You were either:
    a. offered early retirement.
    b. offered a new job with the ‘temp’ company at half wages.
    c. let go.
    d. The really good employee’s were offered some type of low management gig.

Usually I don’t care for Unions. They had their time and place and are now nothing more than a forced donation machine for the demonRats.

Welp, HD succeeded in busting up the Union.

What they then got, was a bunch of lazy assholes. Quality went right into the s~~~er.

I doubt I will ever buy another HD. The Indians are cool though.

They’ve been trading on past glories for a long time now. I am sure they will blame wages but that isn’t the real issue.

Their bikes are too big for most women. If they really wanted to target women they should have come out with a smaller version.

But regardless I don’t see many female bike riders anyway of any brand.

    Um, not really.
I’m not that tall. HD makes bikes that fit me and most bikes can be lowered..

No! The mutz do not ride b/c their bank does not buy them one. The bank wants to escape from time to time.

fair enough. I am far from a bike expert, the ones I have seen all seem pretty big. Also hard to ride a bike without messing up your new ‘do!

    Truth is…
I’m a meh rider. Not horrible but not t~~~ either.
I’ve seen video of 5′ tall skinny bitches ride like a pro.

Granted they were trained not on THEIR OWN bike but on somebody else’s bike.

HD does not understand the situation.

This could be viewed as a slap in the collective face of customer loyalty.

Instead of raising the issue and supporting President Trump in tariff leveling the playing field, HD has left the country.

This is going to cost them in sales.

Whatever makes you happy, go for it.
I choose not to spend that kind of money to join a fraternity.
Other makes/models are superior in speed, reliability, smoothness, economy…for much less $…but you don’t get the fraternity pin.

How is this a backfire? Harley Davidson was already deteriorating from my understanding. This is more like a nail in its coffin.

Let the free market reign supreme. No tears.

Women would have no problem piloting a Sportster.
The last time I bought parts for my FLH, Made in China was on the box. What’s that tell you? Oh, I bought those parts years ago.
Been meaning to get that Old Pig back on the road.
I guess I’m one of them “Old white guy wanna-be’s” I have only been riding since 1974.

Moving production overseas might work for them, somewhat. They can also branch off to make crotch rockets. No body gives a damn about brand image these days.

But what usually rides on the back of a Harley? The sluggish screeching hen who enslaves the vag hungry simp cuck or dips~~~ white knight spending whatever it takes to ‘look cool’ and pick up said women. Yeah I was one of those g.d. fools once upon a time. Then I noticed Harley starting to market several “low, light, and “no boundaries” dynas and sportsters depicting women riding fast and passing male riders on race tracks and roadways. Good riddance…don’t miss ’em. I’ll cherish the memories of a mid 90’s wide glide blockhead and more so Buell bikes (Lighting and XB9/12R). Dang that brings back memories of battling Triumphs and Hondas! If we only knew better to shun off and repel the leach c~~~s who many of us ‘died’ and fell victim too.
