@Tower – I used to do the same thing with Barbies and any other dolls too. I’d burn them with gasoline after ripping them apart.

I only participated in one gang cat execution. It was a revenge strike against one of our enemies in the neighborhood who ratted us out after we f~~~ed up another kid’s bike who tattled on us for smoking. My parent’s had to pay for my part of the bike. My Dad made me his f~~~ing slave until I paid him back the money twice over. Sadly, the girl who lived behind him had a cat that looked just like our enemy’s cat so we whacked the wrong cat. I felt so guilty I never harmed another cat after that. The beginnings of my conscience started right there.

We were vicious children. I don’t know what it was like up there, but we all were that way down here. We would steal the older kid’s beer where they would hide it in a tree hollow for the weekend and drink it as 9 and 10 year old kids too. I used to steal my Dad’s beer also. He never should have given me that first taste of Pabst at age 5.

We’d openly tote rifles and shotguns down suburban roads to our hunting grounds. Nobody cared back then.. I was a crack shot with a rifle too. I was so confident in my aim that I’d shoot squirrels off pine trees with a .22 air or rimfire at window height level right in people’s backyards.

I don’t have chipmunks, but we used to blast anything that moved in the woods and marsh. I’d spend hours shooting fiddler crabs too.

Crow hunting is very, very tough.

I was pure selfish evil as a kid. I was an evasion strategy genius. We’d scout out and plan our misdeeds. We’d always have two escape routes or else we’d not make a hit.. We were like the special ops of vandalism.

I know, I had to leave a window cracked, and shoot from a darkened room!

You were lucky to even have done that. Crows are super smart and super paranoid. I used to work with this weird chick that had one as a pet.

I once saved some baby Brown Thrashers from marauding Crows while out mountain biking. I had to chase those bastards for a half mile before they gave up. They were p~~~ed at me too. The mother bird got her babies well hidden thanks to my spot on time arrival.

The Red Tail Hawk that killed my best laying hen was being chased by 6 crows the next day. I was OK with them, but the only good Crow is a dead one IMHO.

She could suck a choad with that mouth. My paddle partner has one. He has to use a Thermos as a p~~~ jug that’s how I know.

Most bronies I’ve encountered in real life and in chatrooms/forums are creepy as f~~~. And, I see no difference with liking anime or MLP. The only difference is, most anime is geared towards adults. So, it’s only natural that adults would like some anime. But f~~~ing hell, bronies are just creepy as s~~~. They even made a Unix based OS about MLP.

Now this is a f~~~ed up OS.

Why does everything I hate upon first sight become popular and never die? MLP, Madonna, Obama, feminism to name a few.

I need to use this talent as an investment strategy,

I had put my MLP trauma to rest by the early 90s. That theme song used to kill me. Now Bronies are taking over.and the f~~~ing theme song is an earwig again. ARRRGH!!!!!

It’s like you read my mind. But, this is worse, because feminism is starting to take over the s~~~ I DO like. Like anime/gaming/sports/star wars, etc.

The PonyOS thing is just a bad joke. Even says april fools on the bottom. Other things about it seemed questionable as well. Like the fact that they claimed to have written their own kernel and putting shareware Doom in the distro, something a real UNIX called IRIX did 20 years ago…which was novel at the time, but would be completely pointless to do today.

Unfortunately that’s exactly what many of them do. They post that garbage in places were it has no business being and tart the place up. You can’t criticize it or they throw a tantrum.

    Brony here!

I’m just a fan of Season 1 of MLP:FIM if that, the rest just goes to s~~~ and turns way to feminazi; sure there is some hidden feminazi crap in the background; its kept pretty much to a minimum in season 1.

Now, the reason why i’m a brony is because, first the show isn’t entirely, “i’m an entitled princes, please give me s~~~ for free,” don’t get me wrong, there is a lot of that, but there is also a lot of “you have to work for it” s~~~… all be the work is very light. So, it is just, bearable.

However, what i enjoy most are the characters. They are having what every modern women seems to be lacking… a god damn personality! A SELF! And a lack of manipulative bulls~~~ ( most of the characters ). And an ounce of taking some god damn responsibility! I think this may be what draws a lot of people to bronies; the fact that the ponies personalities are so defined and not with any fake hidden agenda crap; non of this, “i’ma be nice to you so i can steal half of your paycheck” s~~~, just… ponies being themselves.

For example, Pinkie Pie grew up on a rock farm ( lawl ) all sad and s~~~…

Basically… it’s about having some sort of an amount of hope for the female population; if women were to just have a personality; if they had a unique self, then they’d have some way of “being them selves,” and women in this world just wouldn’t be so god damn s~~~ty.

95% of my fanism or my bronyness, is really just for the characters; i absolutely loath the later seasons because of how feminazi it gets.

    Plus… they are cute 😀

i don’t think it has much to do with feminizing men; infact, i personally think that you can’t get much more manly than running around screaming, “f~~~ you! i like ponies”
i grew up with lots of stuffed animals; i’m a grown man and i still have lots of stuffed animals, and no person or woman is going to ever get me to get rid of them… plus, they make good pillows 🙂 Bitch don’t want to have a bunch of stuffed animals in the room, than she can GTFO!

Overall, i think bronies have a bad rep because a lot of them tend to be manginas, and as i mentioned before, MLP has its feminazi side too it.
if you look closely; the population is roughly 90% female, 10% male, which is the feminazi’s ideal ratio.

Anywho; for me it is all about the characters. f~~~ the feminazi s~~~.

Edit: anything pre MLP:FIM is just garbage… and should be deleted off of the face of the internet 😛 Also, don’t get me wrong, it’s not 100% about fantasizing about how women should be, it’s just the characters are awesome… except for rarity and twilight.. just trying to rationalize why other bronies may also be sucked into it. Just really… the idea of a world where everyone isn’t just a mindless drone 24/7 sounds awesome to me.

    it’s just hard to explain.

    […]

    it’s just hard to explain.

    Two things on my mind-

First- I love character driven plots/shows/stories/etc, although I’ll take Al Swearengen of “Deadwood” over Pinkie Pie of “MLP” any day 🙂 MGTOW is about men, sovereignty, individuals; So no wonder characters appeal to us rather than groups, stories or two-dimensional tools used to move a plot along.

Second- it is, it allways is hard to explain why we like things which we are just “drawn” to, because the attraction is often subconscious, however I think you explained it well, if only the tip of the iceberg; you like cute things and personalities with depth, MLP has both for you 🙂 Personally I still prefer a gritty drama with good characters, I like to see how individuals deal with situations so I can both learn from them and live vicariously through them 😛

Oh yeah we had our first Brony roasting a while back in this thread.

    /forums/topic/i-really-dont-get-you-guys/

That was my official introduction to “Bronies”.

I understand when some guys don’t like sports, or beer, or motorbikes, or boxing, but this Brony s~~~ isn’t right in the f~~~ing head. Even if I guy said he had seasons tickets to the ballet — and thought Brokeback Mountain was “a good movie” — you can just leave it at “to each his own”.

But when a BRONY shows up to ask WHY YOU LIKE PUSSY???

That’s ……. f~~~ed, There is something VERY f~~~ed up when the “Brony” is looking at you like what is naturally intended is somehow “strange”. It’s OK to not understand each other, or be able to not explain why you like something. I can’t explain why I like Pizza, either. But I don’t eat s~~~ and then turn to people who eat food and ask “wtf the f~~~ is wrong with you?”.

Personally, I think a “Brony” must be bored out of his f~~~ing mind. Like a feminist. When the s~~~ comes down, you won’t see them around. There is never a feminist or a “social justice warrior” in a house fire. They all want a man to come and rescue them. Too much time on their hands and NOT BUSY ENOUGH.

I dated a 26 year old Asian girl who had Hello Kitty painted on her nails.

I’m half tempted head out to the stores to brave the stampeding thunderous herds of greedy Black Friday shopping land whales to see if I can see a Brony in real life.

    No, too dangerous……

Given most of us grew up in feminist dominated societies. If liking cartoon ponies is the most messed up a person is, then let us count our blessings.

Personally, I don’t care for this series. But, I do find it hilarious that a number of the same american dub voice actors that made the My Little Pony series, voice various characters on the american english dub of Black Lagoon. The running joke among those that are fans of both My Little Pony and Black Lagoon is that Gilda (My Little Pony) has such a potty mouth as Revy in Black Lagoon.

I have also heard that the series has a strong writing team. I wish them well, and I look forward to seeing what members of that writing team can accomplish later on when they are writing more mature action based themes.

Ive never understood Bronies, Furries, adult babies or any other internet based group of people. In arguments with these people they always come back with the same canned response, “It’s not hurting anyone! What is normal! Normal is just what society deems it to be!” Lol no s~~~, there is a line for everything and there are those who don’t understand the concept of the “line”. Now at the end of the day I don’t have a problem with these people per se, but I find it ironic that they seem to not understand why they are made fun of. Its one thing to keep it under wraps and not say much about it, all the while realizing it will be something people will give you s~~~ for. But most of these people want to force it on others and argue with them about why they don’t like it and why they should. These guys are fun to troll.

BTW adult babies are lightyears worse than bronies. Those guys are F~~~ED

confiteor hominibus, mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa

I actually kinda like the show. I have a few shirts and dolls.

Do I think it’s quality TV? No. Do I think it has timeless themes? No. Do I think there are any important life lessons to learn from it? No. Do I think it’s cute, colorful, full of life, energy, and kind of entertaining? Yes, sometimes.

I don’t like the word brony, nor do I like any label that identifies me as part of a group who enjoys a certain hobby occasionally (e.g., I don’t go around calling myself a brony, a gamer, or even pianist, programmer, student). I may occasionally call myself a “writer,” but that’s only when discussing writing techniques with others, so they know what I’m driving at.

    Ive never understood

Are you a Star Wars fan? Are you a Star Trek fan? Hell, are you a Farscape, or Babylon Five fan? If you answer ‘yes’ to one or more of these questions, then you do understand, you just don’t realize it.

It is fandom. People being entertained by characters they can relate too. It is as simple as that.

Can someone please explain and share your thoughts on this new “Brony” trend that seems to be sweeping the nation and now going international.

I’m still in my twenties and this doesn’t annoy me as much as other fads because the show is pretty well written. Honestly, it’s a good show and shares almost nothing in common with the 1980’s version.

What I’m saying is, I can appreciate the craftsmanship that went into making it. I’m not a car guy, but I can appreciate the work that went into a Lamborghini. Same thing.

As far as the Brony culture that’s formed around it, I don’t get it. I’m pretty sure it started off as a joke on 4chan, and became… I don’t know. At first it was all a joke, then people took the joke too far (trolling). The trolls tried to out do each other by saying the most ridiculous stuff they could come up with, and the weird thing is at some point some of the trolls “realized” they actually believed the ridiculous stuff. Then the trolling morphed into an actual community that kicked the trolls out, and now it’s…
