    Welcome, Brother!

You can try Indonesia. It’s the home to almost 300 ethnic groups and up to 700 languages. If you’re trying to find cultural or sociological relics, it mostly centered on Java (especially middle Java) and Bali, which recorded its Hindu heritage long before Indonesia was turned into the largest Islamic country.

Wow, I have only dreamed about Bali and other paradises. Must consider this.

I don’t like risking my life or my freedom. Hasn’t there been some kind of attacks against turist destinations? This is something I want to avoid.

I am so called creative professional, hassling with buildings.
I’ve involved in designing buildings, planning projects, construction managing etc.
I’ve lived in the countryside as a kid, small town as a teen and in metropoliltan area as an adult.
I’ve has a wide spectrum of hobbies; playing guitar, sailing, canoeing, fly-fishing, hunting – the dearest hobbies are related to nature. But this is not what I am primarily looking for.
I like the joy of discovery. I get a lot of peace of mind from wandering in unspoilt nature.

Travelling will help you see things clearer but it will not give you the answers to reconcile on your past. That is within you. It would be easier to close this chapter of your life before you leave. Then you can roam free. There is so much for you to see and do.

…….I’ve involved in designing buildings, planning projects, construction managing etc……

    Me Too.

But, spent most of my time fixing the mistakes of the designers. LOL.

Anyway, you should consider Chicago. There are some nice Architectural tours, the one along the River is good.
In the summer, there is a “Water Taxi” service that has some nice views of the City. The one along the lake is my favorite.

Send me a message, if you decide to visit the USA.

I have had great success in my travels mainly because I will seek out cultural events and reach out to the organizers.
Most of the Europeans and their descendants will give assistance to travelers and are happy to suggest their favorite local places.

…….I like culture but as I am an introvert I like only to observe. I don’t like to take part………

The Older European Folk cultures had ways of including introverts like us.
It was important to get together with others every so often and methods were developed to include everyone especially the introverts.

A hundred years ago, the Rural Cultures of European people were simpler and more user friendly.

The Narcissism, Modernization, and development of a Professional class of musicians/ dancers/ singers has “poisoned the well” for those introverts who would like to interact socially the way our Grandfather’s did.
And there is a lot of dysfunctional behavior in much of the remaining European cultural events.

Within my generation Irish culture has devolved into “River Dance” and Bars.

Note: Our Media NEVER shows or promotes pure healthy European Rural Cultures.

That being said, there remains a strong underground of Europeans who are keeping the old traditions alive. I make every effort to seek them, especially whenever I travel.

The Contra Dances of the Anglosphere are set up so that you do not have to have a permanent dance partner.

Here is an example of a large Contra Dance:

Most of the people who attend these Cultural events have interesting lives, and they are worth meeting.

Here is a link to an excellent web site in the USA:

I was just at an excellent Cultural event with the following folks. You should contact them if you come to Chicago:

    http://samac.org

    http://www.nnleague.org

There are some outstanding reports about the following event and I hope to make it this year:

……I like the joy of discovery. I get a lot of peace of mind from wandering in unspoilt nature………

    Me Too.

But, I have found that the kinds of cultural “Conventions” or gatherings mentioned above were always a good way to get ideas and inspiration.

While attending a “Save the Forest” Barn Dance last month, some locals helped me discover the largest Water Fall in Indiana. I drove and walked for hours through the National Forests as the trees were blooming.

What happens when a man finally comprehends the cold and calculating thoughts that are going through a woman's mind, while her eyes are brimming with tears?

You are absolutely right, this is so true.

I know this and I’ve thought that running one’s own problems – taking a fresh start – is self-deception. I agree that one can not escape personal problems. One has to face them and get rid of them.

Somehow I didn’t see this fact any more.

Yes it happened in Bali, I’m not gonna lie. But it happened in 2002 and 2005 and there’s no any other incidents since. The most recent ones are made by the tourist themselves, because they’re drunk all the time.

But, if Bali is too risky to your liking because of the quantity of western tourist there, you can try modest ones like

    Jogjakarta

    Solo

Or Bandung, where I live. But it is more urban. Those are like 25% from only Java island. In other islands there’s many breathtaking natural places.
