So the reason for writing this is because there are men out there who are unhappy with women’s attitudes and actions, but are still being sold the “NAWALT” bulls~~~. I feel this is a good way of describing how wrong that is.
So, let’s start with my profile’s namesake, the story of the Iliad and Helen of Troy. To summarize this story in a few paragraphs truly does it no justice, but for time constraints, we will trim it down to the main ideas. In the beginning of the tail, a girl named Helen is born, and grows to be beautiful beyond description. She eventually marries the king of Sparta, Menelaus. Enter antagonist #1, Aphrodite, goddess of “love”, female sexuality and man-rape (I spoke of this in /forums/topic/have-you-been-raped/,) who sent Paris the mangina Prince of Troy to go and claim her after he told her she was prettier than Athena and Hera in an actual contest that they set up after the goddess of strife, Eris, used a magical apple that caused discord to cause them to argue. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judgment_of_Paris) Thus far, one woman caused three others to argue over who was the prettiest, and the winner was decided by offering a sexy piece of ass for the judge. So after bringing Helen and Paris together (and possibly forcing them to love each other with her magic,) Paris took her home with him, stealing some unspecified treasure and the bride of a man who was the king of the pre-eminent warrior society in Greece at the time. Now any person can understand what it is to lose something of value, and some may argue that he actually went to war for the stolen treasure, but as I will stake the case for in a moment, this is not the reason.
Now according to the mythology, this was supposed to be the event that sparked the Trojan war, in part set in motion by Zeus to de-populate the earth, the physical personification of his grandmother Gaia, and to hopefully wipe out some of his demigod descendants to help reduce the rage of his wife/sister Hera. Now, this section doesn’t condone Zeus’ actions, but if you were married to a woman ho felt the appropriate way to deal with you impregnating another woman was to kill the woman and the child, and possibly at some point repeat history by making her son cut off his father’s genitals (because at this point all of history pointed to this event occurring,) and that there was no way to kill her, I could see how a reasonable reaction might be to send them off to war, so at least the c~~~ can no longer say you did nothing to try and reconcile and you genitals would be intact at least as long as she was distracted by the war. So while Zeus has his part to play in initiating the war, he was essentially being manipulated by antagonist #2, Hera.
Back to our story, Menelaus is p~~~ed, gets his brother Agamemnon and other kings to come and help him reclaim what was stolen from him. They declare war and, 9 bloody years pass. 9. Years. Of. WAR. By the ninth year of the war, the Achaeans, or the Greeks (aka not the Trojans, in case you lost your place) were ready to leave, cut their losses and head home. Enter antagonist #3, Athena, goddess of “wisdom” and of war. Now admittedly, wars can be fought for good causes, and if a cause is just enough, no man will truly think that they should stop fighting for something just, this was a war for 1 woman. It is natural to want something to come of your endeavors, but 1 woman is not worth it. Instead of letting them leave however, the goddess of “wisdom” shames her champion, Odysseus, into telling his fellow kings that their desire to leave is cowardice. The gods tell the Greeks through prophecy that they would win the war in the tenth year. So because a woman was told she wasn’t pretty and her husband confirmed it by being uninterested in her, she helped cause a 10 year war, and she has the war propagated by her children.
Further, this was for a woman who was likely at most 20ish and would be possibly in 30ish by the time she got back to you sounds like exactly how dedicated feminists should feel for women, and since everything they say is wrong, that’s more than enough reason for me to say it’s not f~~~ing worth it. After nine years they were guaranteed victory, so after that much time it seems a waste to throw it away I guess.
Lets skip ahead for brevity. The tides of war go one way and another, sometimes in favor of one, sometimes in another, until Paris directly challenges “the bravest of the Achaeans” to one on one combat, the winner of which would take Helen and the stolen treasure home. This could have been the end of the war. Menelaus gained the upper hand, but goddess forbid (literally) that happen, so #1 steps back in and spirits her mangina champion away from certain death. She prolonged a war where victory was literally pre-destined, simply because she wanted her little soap-opera to continue. Then to top it off, Helen is upset at her husband’s cowardice. The man literally faced death for her, then was saved by the hand of a goddess. The man she was supposed to love, and she is mad that he is alive when he literally had nothing to do with it. I wouldn’t call her an antagonist, but as one of the main causes of the war, it doesn’t matter if she is or isn’t.
After several more interferences on both sides, Zeus forbid the gods from interfering. This did not please Hera or Athena, and so they tried to interfere anyway. After being halted by a messenger from Zeus (Iris,) Hera plotted to circumvent Zeus’s will, and to do that she borrowed Aphrodite’s rape belt (a girdle that made any man helpless to the advances female wearing it,) as well as conspired with the god of sleep, Hypnos (once again a goddess sells another woman as a whore to get her favors, because why should she care about another woman?) and then screws him until he falls asleep. Further, to avoid blame afterwards, she blames what Poseidon did while Zeus slept entirely on Poseidon, claiming no part in it.
At this point, I feel telling the rest of the story is almost pointless. Everything kind of follows the same trend, and it’s better to read. However, in the sake of fairness, I feel I should mention what the male gods did, and there are only three categories of actions they took. They fought in the war, they tried to inspire the troops, and they tried to stop the women’s manipulations. The one other deplorable action was when Apollo shattered all of the Greek hero Patroclus’s weapons and armor, which he only did to ensure that Achilles re-entered the war to end it, and his actions are nothing that one wouldn’t do in war (to the enemy, at least.)
Now I’ve read enough of Sun Tzu’s art of war to know that the actions that these women were not along the lines of deception he intended, but they were all the more effective for it. The problem was that they didn’t follow one of his core principles, which was make the war as quick as possible. They prolonged and instigated the conflict as much as possible. When looking at their actions, it is clear that the people who passed these stories along clearly understood just how manipulative and conniving women were at the core of their nature, and this is one of DOZENS of stories showing them to be conniving, self-absorbed, c~~~s who perpetuate misandry. Further these are supposed to be the personifications of what women are like, and over thousands of years, this is what it shows. Femi-Nazis may argue that it is the patriarchy perverting the nature of women, but f~~~ them, it doesn’t paint a good picture of men either, and they would argue contrary to what they had just said that it was because that was the way men are. So ignore their bulls~~~.
I intend to add more stories to this same string, but feel free to add any you feel should be shared. Again, this is to provide evidence that “AWALT.”

Interesting post.
As a man from “Mars”, Eris gets me hard. She’s the only honest Goddess out there.
Notice they made The God of War male, The Goddess of Strife female.
If strife leads to war…. Whoa…
yeah, keep those coming, great read.
thx dood
Thanks for that post. I have been an avid reader of mythology since childhood, and I enjoyed your take on Homer’s epic. The ancient myths of all cultures I am aware of include stories of women taming and civilizing men with generally bad outcomes for the males.
By the way, the ancient Greeks and Romans thought of romantic love, getting shot by Cupid, as a disease. It was the last thing a man was supposed to use to guide his actions — and their myths and histories confirm this.

This is slightly off topic but it was something I thought of when I read OP post. My Little brother and I (both red pill) went with our mother to church on Mothers Day at her request. The preacher was speaking about Proverbs 31 10-31 I believe which is talking about what a virtuous woman is and how to find one and their worth etc. His point was how important a virtuous woman is to everyone around her but there was one line that caught both my ear and the ear of my brother.
A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
What really got to both of us here is that this statement is about value or perceived value so we are essentially talking about economics and value is normally determined by the usefulness or rarity of the item in question. It occurred to both of us that since this is supposed to be a virtuous Women or woman of noble character and she has a very high value that a virtuous woman must be extremely rare. It then follows that the nature of women has long been understood and only relatively recently has the populous had to rediscover this for themselves.

sounds like exactly how dedicated feminists should feel for women
I missed this error, what I meant to say was how dedicated feminists feel men should be to any and all women.
Also, at the “bravest of the Greeks” bit, Menelaus steps forward in challenge, and OM (original mangina) tries to run from a clearly superior man, but is told by his brother Hector to quit being a pussy and fight Menelaus.

I love the ancient Greek myths & your moniker is great! I figured it referred to Helen of Troy even before reading your post. I remember reading a dumbed-down version of the ‘Goddess beauty contest’ in Latin class two decades ago. The Romanized named of Eris, ‘Discordia’ always stuck with me. And of course, the story started because Eris/Discordia wasn’t invited to a WEDDING. She was so enraged she came up with the Golden Apple to sow discord.
This is my favorite image of Eris. She may be the only honest Goddess, but in this image, she’s TRULY a harpy (female monster in form of a bird with a human face)!
Other depictions show her as a seductive hottie, especially, more modern ones.
And let us not forget Pandora; after Prometheus’s larceny (he stole fire from the Gods), Zeus created woman as a punishment for MANkind, and the other Gods endowed her with the capacity for seduction… And she opened Pandora’s jar unleashing all the evils of the world, leaving us only with Hope. While Hesiod was negative towards marriage, he was also negative towards avoiding it…
From her is the race of women and female kind:
of her is the deadly race and tribe of women who
live amongst mortal men to their great trouble,
no helpmates in hateful poverty, but only in wealth.and of those who avoid marriage:
He reaches deadly old age without anyone to tend his years,
and though he at least has no lack of livelihood while he lives,
yet, when he is dead, his kinsfolk divide his possessions amongst themI’d never read it that in depth in my adolescence, but just looked it up… helpmates ‘only in wealth’, haha.
