Welcome to the forums and good luck dealing with your current legal situation. Was your marriage arranged by her parents? There might be some way to make this whole lawsuit look unethical to the judge if that is the case. Good luck getting a divorce. I dont know how life is in India but it sounds like my country(The United States of America) would be a better place for you and your parents to live. It sounds to me like there is nothing left for you in India. My best advice is to fight this lawsuit. If you win you should pack your stuff, take your parents with you ,and move to America. America is the “Land of Opportunity”. I dont think your life could possibly get worse by coming here, in fact I think it will make your life better.

My marriage was arranged! It takes years in the court, maybe 10-20 years, there are hundreds of thousands cases pending and new cases are piling up each day in my own city. It has been 2 years already, and i just have to attend the court, take the next date for hearing!

Thank you for your suggestion for inviting to your country! Court had my passport now! they only return back to me once these cases closed! praying that it ends soon.

dude. as an indian male i understand your frustration. If more indian men went against tradition we would see a lot less of this. we get pressure from all sides to marry (with a gun to our head) and get completely screwed. good luck man,try to live free if you can but i know india is way too bloody traditional so its an uphill battle.

Thanks buddy! It’s all f~~~ed up here especially with this MAD law!
