Wasn’t GM BAIL OUT bigtime about 12 years ago. I seem to remember some s~~~ like that surround the AIG bail out too.

Yes they were bailed out. That’s why we call them GM (Government Motors). Even my Grandfather (life long Detroiter) had to remark: “This is the greatest swindle of the US Taxpayers I have ever seen in my life.”

Took a look at her Wiki to check on her leaning. Didn’t take long…

In August 2017, she was elected to the board of Disney.[21] She is the 12th person elected to this board.

In December 2016, Barra joined a business forum assembled by then President-Elect Donald Trump to provide strategic and policy advice on economic issues.[29] However, she left the forum in 2017, following Trump’s response to the Charlottesville protests.

Not sure where strike 3 is, but it may be a pink hat nestled in her closet ready for some marching.

Freaking sad. 40 years ago that industry provided jobs for Americans that were the back bone ofthe economy. You didnt need some bulls~~~ degree in gender studies or liberal arts to get a factory job, work hard and make a decent living. Guess that wasn’t good enough. The board should s~~~ can this bitch – not the workers.

Making more money in China is a very, very bad idea. You can’t get the money out of the country. Well, you can, but it’s really really hard. Plus they are stealing all of your technology and will eventually put you out of business. Or, you’ll get in a joint venture and when you want to buy the controlling interest because they don’t know what the f~~~ they’re doing they will go to the government and get the company designated as a strategic company that can’t have more than 50% control from a foreign company.

Not that I’ve lived it or anything.

If you want to go flip burgers and sell them in China, by all means go ahead. But you should never manufacture anything in China. It’s not going to end well.

Doesn’t matter that she’s a woman.. The economy is “correcting” hard.. Which means a down turn for the next 2-4 years. Trump’s trade war is going to kill him in 2020 and a Hard left admin will take over.
Look guys, this the beginning of the collapse FOR REAL. It will happen faster than you expect.
I know some of you guys love Trump, but facts show he’s a BAD business man. The only thing that kept him alive this long, was real estate properties. He didn’t manage those. He only traded on his name. He is not a savior. He only cares about himself and his daughter he wish he could f~~~. That’s reality.

As a general rule human are pessimistic. Could even call it a default setting. Listen to the radio any time you hear an advert for a company selling gold or silver they pump doom and gloom, why it sells and people buy it.
I have been investing for years, have seen more market corrections then I can count. Still the market is has never even come close to the numbers when I started investing. Took me several years and lost money in panic selling on a down market to figure out it was always short term. In other words a buying opportunity. These days when I see a 500 point drop my hope is I have money set aside so I can buy.

The political element liberals/socialist pump doom and gloom like the only way to save the day is to hide in your bunker. Conservatives also do it some times but not as much.
Trump is over all economy policy. The liberals, aka most of the media hates it that he is winning the day. Turn it off do not listen, instead look about your own community. how many people look out of work, how are the smaller shops and businesses doing. I live in a state where by state law almost the economy is always going to be crap, the idiots in Baton Rouge can not get the tax code right. BUT, when I drive into work not a single strip shopping area has a closed down store front, the two auto mechanics are backed up with cars to work on in their lots. When I come home at night the grocery store and wally world parking lots have all kinds of cars in the parking lot. Even in this crap state of Louisiana the economy is steaming along.

The Strategy: Socialize the losses and privatize the profits.

Such beliefs are fascist to the core, the marriage of corporations and government. These same fascists fund corporate media and progressive groups to accuse everyone else of being fascists to hide their fascism.

I used to be a Chevy guy, now I f~~~ with Mercedes. They build them s~~~s in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Ladson, South Carolina!! Them factories ain’t closing no time soon. Even the fedex man drives a benz now lol. I find it funny how the only auto makers that lay off people in America are the American brands. Nissan, Toyota, Subaru, Volkswagen, BMW, Honda, Hino, Mazda, and a bunch of others are here, but at least the people working there have some kind of job security. I say, since it’s made in America……..GM is only headquartered here, or that’s the plan.

I can’t blame the CEO entirely for this. It’s well known that the US Automotive industry is plagued with regulations and union rules that are make it very difficult for these companies to be profitable. I’m not against regulations, as long as they are actually about safety and real environmental regulations instead of someone gaining political power. I’m not against unions either, as long as they actually serve the people they’re supposed to be serving.

I’m definitely not for a bailout. The people losing their jobs need to find new jobs in other industries or start their own business in automotive. That’s the way capitalism works. Learn from mistakes. The same goes for the government and unions. Their role needs to be evaluated and correct so that companies can make the decisions that make sense in the future.

As far as GM themselves, customers can decide whether they want to buy GM cars in the future, and GM can live and die based on that and that alone.

    Ok. Then do it.

And you think Hillary was a better businessMAN?

Have you ever wondered how Walmart’s meteoric rise happened in the 1990’s and destroy small businesses across the nation? Hillary was on the board of directors of Walmart.

That being said, Trump always seems to want to play the game in a more proper fashion. He was merciless in business, but he did not want to destroy everything around him. Trump worked with unions, he worked with businesses, he bought property at a fair price. He plays the game well, but he does not try to wreck the game to get ahead.

You need to stop thinking of the president as Donald Trump. You need to think of him as Donald NotHillary,

President Trump is a pro-American business man, whom believes in keeping his promises.

And how was that good for the nation, exactly?

Hillary was on the board of directors of Walmart.

Do you really think she was making decisions, though?

That was just another bribe to the Clintons , not a sign of her business acumen. All it proves is how corrupt the Clintons and WalMart are, not how capable.

President Trump is a pro-American business man, whom believes in keeping his promises.

And he’s also not Hillary. Bonus.

You know, I’m a SIMPLE IT guy/.. I do installations, and I do contract work. Let me make this clear. I don’t know S~~~ about running a business or a country or a corporation. But I do know one thing, he gots people that know how to get things done.

What is going on with GM is nothing new. This s~~~ has been going on since the Death of the electric car. Instead of making money for the long run, the short term profits always win out.

There is a REASON why the UAW FOUGHT LIKE HELL to be in the Japanese factories. MANY of those workers RAN from GM to these new factories.
You will notice that there is no one there that WANTS to be in the UAW. And the ones that did? THey sort of Disappeared.. Odd.

The AMOUNT of MONEY the UAW spent on TRYING to get these people to go along with their whims and the companies was amazing. And I mean HOOKERS FOLKS HOOKERS! STRAIGHT UP HOOKERS!

I’m not making this up. Like it or not, the Japanese are in FIRM control over what goes on here in their plants. Remember ALL OF THE RECALLS that TOYOTA HAD? Why not with GM ford or Chrysler? ODD! Look at WHO was filling the complaints. And LOOK at Toyota now? There MINIVAN is one of the GO TO MINIVANS OUT THERE! Its not even that much better, but the reputation that they stood behind their products just stands out.

Honestly, they BARELY NEED TO ADVERTISE. Pound for pound, their cars just have this rep for good made cars. You want Horsepower? You go to GM. You want looks, you go to Chrysler. You want an American made car that makes you feel good buying one? You go to FORD.

You want value you go to the Korean car companies. Each company has their niche. But only 1 company has more problems running their company then any other and that is GM. Chrysler? um. FAMOUS FOR PROBLEMS! FORD… its errr.. FORD TUFF!. Or as tuff as a FORD can be. :-0
Like it or not. The American car companies are selling on value. That’s all they have. They spend money on their flagship cars, and keep ONE model selling with a ton of filler cars they cut corners on and make them to a cost.

So each year, FORD and other cars companies go out of their way to get more ROBOTS in the factories. They contract with the companies that supply them, and win out each and every time since all they have to do is hire engineers or contract out with companies to make parts of their cars. That way, they get a s~~~y output, they can trash and throw out that company and a new one bids, and all is right again. They don’t have to have to hire anyone but the bean counters on staff. And a R&D department.

Women work in Marketing giving out blowjobs, and the rest of the company works great.

But GM and the UAW don’t like the fact the companies are doing this. This was a BIG sticking point at Chrysler. They kept farming out their car parts and factories for a long time. And when they could not deal with the BS, they just sold the company so that all their old contracts they signed no longer has to be hindered by outside forces.

Like it or not, GM was called Government Motors for a reason. They got BIG kick backs from the GUBERMENT to hire these worthless sacks of s~~~ for government contracts. Then they said.. Well. We just need to have s~~~ to sell. Who cares where it is made. And even if they close down all the plants? GM STILL WINS.

They get a better items to sell cheaper, AND it lasts JUST LONG ENOUGH till the warranty runs out. Then the car nickels and dimes you till you just go out and buy a new car.

Most people today only want to BUY a Product like you would at the Apple store. Not work on it. They want to change the oil, fight about what brand of oil is best for a car they will only own right up until the warranty period.

Have you ever wondered why most fleets buy Japanese diesels, or GM trucks like Isuzu that only have the GM name, but almost the whole thing is made in japan? And leave the big trucks with the cheap gas engines to be sold to fleets?

If you ever want to see where they put the s~~~ workers at, its at the fleet sales items that are so simple, so easy to get out he door, they don’t care if the paint job is s~~~, parts don’t fit right. Just that it’s put together well enough to get out the door. You will often see these trucks with the most BASIC items inside, and that’s it. Most of the time. Most of the interior is Slapstick fit. Any CHILD could do it.

All the good workers work at say the Corvette plant, or work on the higher end lines. But nobody can say s~~~ if the quality is bad since GUESS WHO WORKS THERE? And if a part fails, they don’t blame the company, they blame the supplier. Its a match made in heaven for women and people who don’t care.

GM KNEW this all along. They have been dealing with this bulls~~~ for a LONG TIME> And most of the place is filled with people who just don’t give a f~~~. Their jobs are like government jobs. PURE HAND OUTS.

Like it or not, they know what their market is and its women. They know what women want, and they sell them that. The Cars for men are made differently, and that is ALL their is to it.

Ask any of the car Audio guys about the SUV’s they use for builds. And they will flat out tell you that these cars FALL APART when it comes to the electronics of them. Its all the small things. And what does a woman do when her cars window or dash does not work? She buys a new one. And the cost for fixing is often so much, it just makes sense to get a new car or truck.

GM really has nothing to worry about. They don’t care. The top brass are fine. The company is fine. And so are the sales. All they do is price their cars lower then the ones from Japan, and that is all they need to do. A patriotic car add, a few great commercials, and that’s all they need to do.

There actually is a law out there that says that these companies need to have parts for their cars for at least 20 years from what I heard. But seldom to any of them do. They just point the finger to the supplier and call it a day.

Its really amazing when you think about it. But you know that premium you pay for a Lexus? That car or SUV your bought costs almost the same as the budget model. But they slap on a 20,000 premium, and people just buy it. The NEW NSX for example has not been the hot seller it use to be. People want a custom NSX instead of vanilla. And the way the car market is going, MEN want cars from the past. Hence why the Dodge SRT sells so well. Same with the Ford Mustang. Cadillac knows that women are not going to give a s~~~ about their v8 super luxo barges. Hence, they are closing the plants that make them as men are less likely to buy them to impress women and so forth.

Hell, if the guy from IRON MAIDEN got this done by JAGUAR?

Think about the future of cars in the MGTOW era.
This article goes into it a bit deeper. But lets face facts here. This is about cutting the fat that needed to be cut for a long time. The people working at these plants have the option to go work other places and they are cutting back the salary for these people. Oh well!

Hell, their cars have been on surplus lots for a LONG TIME. And they need to cut costs, so this is the best way to do it. TRIM THAT FAT.

And remember, they are openly offering to give these folks MONEY TO STAY AT HOME. And that means retirement for many of these people. Why? ITS CHEAPER to PAY THEM TO STAY AT HOME! How sad is that?

You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home

Here in the UK there was British Leyland. An aggregate monstrosity formed from postwar British auto manufacturers.

Appallingly bad products, incompetent management and a workforce riddled with agitators. Repeatedly bankrupt and bailed out by taxpayer.

A nationalised industry – the two worst words in the English language.

    GO TO MINIVAN

Not to derail the thread, but there is no such thing.

People only buy minivans because they have to, not because they want to.

Exactly. No man willingly drives a minivan. My cousin’s wife talked him into trading in his Monte Carlo SS because it was “impractical”. lol. A mini-van happens to a man, either because good deal or blue pill. My money is on the latter as I have no inkling for a friggin mini van.

No man willingly drives a minivan.

A minivan is the vehicular equivalent of an “Oops!” pregnancy.

It’s a man being forced to pay for the maintenance of a thing he never wanted in the first place but was forced into through the machinations and deceit of a woman.
