I have to say, the price premium I have to pay for a japanese engineered car made by american workers is just fine by me. If it does not have the UAW there, its a better thing to. Hard to imagine that you can get in trouble for changing out a lightbulb at your workstation, but it happens.

Personally, I don’t think anyone is surprised. From what I hear, the GM employees want some change too. But of course they can’t seem to get anything done.

It’s a sad situation. But really, it’s time for them to modernise the plant. If they do that, they might be able to get the people trained well enough to work on the new hardware.

Yes, this does seem to be what they teach in business school.

Look at 2008 for an example. They made far more money bankrupting the companies to pay out huge salaries and bonuses to the CEOs than they would running the company properly. When the company collapses they just get the government to bail out the company.

The Strategy: Socialize the losses and privatize the profits. The result is an enormous transfer of wealth from the US Taxpayers (many of whom are not even customers) to the CEOs. Then they get hailed as being Business Geniuses.

This is the financial system we are living in.
