Newer to the manosphere, but this mantality has been with me for 20 years.  I’m 36 now, and always felt something was “off” with the male/female dynamic in our Amerikwan society.  Now I see specifically what feminism is and what it’s designed to do.  I’m moving out of state with a couple roommates in the next month or so.  Fellow MRA’s.  Looking to microfarm, get some chickens, they have water storage already.  Get as off the grid as reasonably possible, find a basic job and pay off the last of my debts once and for all, and buy a house close by for cheap.  It’ll be nice to have a group to shoot the s~~~ with and not always be c~~~-blocking or white knighting all over each other competing for every piece of ass that walks by.

A former friend invited me over for drinks, and his chubby ex-girlfriend called him up offering the possiblity of secks, and he had me take a cab home so he could go take a crack at her crack.  F~~~ing dishonorable, disgusting, lowbrow worthless individual.  And this is the new norm.  “Hey, it’s all about the pussy.”  No it’s not, you simian f~~~.  “Beggars can’t be choosers.”  Who says we’re beggars.  What kind of people are these?  “My girlfriend let’s me f~~~ her in the ass, so I watch what I say and don’t wanna p~~~ her off.”  Ah yes, sodomy, the substance of any healthy lifestyle.  Wasn’t it Patrick Henry himself who said, “Give me liberty, or give me buttsex!”?

Now I see that there’s enough mgtow doing this very thing that you have a term for it called “ghosting.”  I liken it to Atlas Shrugged, or “going John Galt.”  Now as we know, women are more childlike compared to men, and what do you do when a child misbehaves?  You take his toys away for a while.  Woman have had all of western civilization as their toy for over a century, and it’s declining into filth specifically because they are now the ones at the helm.  So we who have the ability to keep things running simply, as much as possible, stop.  And hopefully not in the too far off future, it becomes fashionable again for women to act like women, wives and mothers, and not Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Snooki, etc.  And if they don’t?  If civilization truly is destroyed?  Well, is it worth living if you have to hear any headline on the news beginning with “President Snooki”?

Thanks for the replies all!  From what I’ve seen in my own life and the few of like mind with whom I associate, the debt issue takes precedence over being “on or off the grid.”  We see on tv (when I still owned a tv) these off the grid homes that cost as much as a regular home that millionaires build as toys, but how in debt are they to pay for it?  So it’s not really off the grid.  It’s glorified camping.  I was on another forum that decries the evils of usury and materialism, made a suggestion that, as much as possible, those of us who do the labor of society to produce its goods get out of debt “as much as possible” (ie, stop adding to the credit card demon wholesale, dial it back, and allocate a few bucks to attacking the principle till you get a real head of steam going to get out from under the thumb of this monster of a system) and was literally asked “Are you crazy?!” by a very high profile individual.  That’s right: For those of us who complain we’re enslaved by an unjust system, the suggestion that we at least begin sawing away at our chains and begin planning escape, is literally seen as “crazy” by the very people who claim to be leaders.

Yeah, I get that many men have obligations that still tie them to the matrix.  Especially those with a house a shrew of a wife to suffer until the kids are grown.  It’s an honorable man who can put up with that for the sake of his children, and I for one wouldn’t want to associate with a man who would leave his own children to suffer alone with a wife that even he can’t tolerate, when he is the only other decision-making member of the household.  But, said man also doesn’t have to go out and get himself deeper in debt with, say, a new sport car, to soothe his emotions and allow him to suffer his wife a bit longer.  Sure it takes restraint, but if you pay off what debt you can, reign in her spending, as much as possible, and begin planning your move as early as possible, you’ll be in so much better a position to ghost when the time comes.  And further, you make yourself an asset to your fellows rather than a liability.

I think so many of us have felt so isolated for so long that we’ve come to settle for the company of the few who are sort of a similar mind as us, and felt happy to have that much.  I for one am seeing that a new page is turning in my book of life and I’m coming into contact with some of the best people I could hope to know.  I’m becoming more selective in the company I keep.  These folks, and you guys on here, make me want to be better, more independent, healthier, learn more skills; simply put: a better member of the community.  Western civilization has become a spoiled child with unlimited resources and no supervision.  It is now incumbent upon us, the creators of those conveniences and the rightful administrators of justice, to take the toys away from the spoiled children, let them run out their temper tantrum, and wait for them to apologize and start on the path to good behavior patterns again. And not even so much for our own sake, though that alone is well worth it, but to do honor to all the work and sacrifice and risk taken by our predecessors who have gifted so much to us.

I think of the images of Socrates, Jesus Christ, Leonardo da Vinci, Isaac Newton, and other great men looking down on us from Heaven, marking what we do and what we work for, with the shared thought, “I dedicated my life to providing you with all this.  Now, what will you do to defend it, and add to it?”  I find that thought to be a powerful one.  And whether we take it literally or figuratively, it is in fact the state of things as they stand.  Now, how shall we proceed, and how much of our focus and energy does our cause deserve?  The answer for me is clear, and I think I’ve finally found a group of guys who agree.

Brian, you mentioned going Galt… I imagine there are quite a few of us here who have at least read Atlas Shrugged as the comparison has come up a few times.

Most, it seems, of the men I’ve read here, I’d say, are at the phase of declaring their independence from pussy, a huge step to be sure… of breaking the hold that the female body has on our hearts, minds and wallets… and there are a few who are ready to make the next step of declaring independence from consumer economics, an inevitable result, I think, when you consider that the vast majority of our consumption is aimed at chasing pussy in the first place.

I was just speaking with two guy friends of mine this week about this and here was the question I put to them:

Imagine there are three groups of men 1) regular guys spending their money trying to get laid, 2) men who have been caught by wives and children working two or three times as hard in order to pay someone else’s way through life and 3) wealthy individuals investing in the future of our society through business, industry and the creation of new goods and services.

All three types of men are uniformly reviled. Guys trying to get money to buy cars and apartments and clothes and pay for dates are considered pigs, husbands and ex husbands are treated like deadbeats and idiots and rich investors are treated like criminals… regardless of whether or not these men are actually any of these things, the vast majority of the females and simps who benefit from their efforts despise them (us).

So what percentage of these men “dropping out” would it take to crash our economy? How many fewer dollars being spent on Valentine’s day gifts, engagement rings, sports cars, fancy dinners, wedding parties, bigger houses, second automobiles, axe body spray, shots for hot chicks in bars, boob jobs for stripper girlfriends and capital investments to make all these pussy beggar goods and services possible would it take for the entire system to just go t~~~ up?

My guess is 5 percent. They say it only took 3 percent of the colonial population taking up arms to repel the British forces… I think it wouldn’t take much more than that of the key individuals who do the majority of the heavy investment and spending waking up one morning and saying “f~~~ it, not going to do it any more” and then sinking their ships, blowing up their mines, burning their oil fields and tearing up their railroads for the rest of society to be in very deep s~~~.

I’ve read a lot about what would cause The End Of The World As We Know It and while people have made noises about peak oil, terrorism, environmental collapse, killer meteors and even global pandemic, I think the failure of the consumer culture brought on by men going their own way could actually be the thing to make it happen.

If Ayn Rand were still alive I think she would be amazed to think that it may actually happen.

Doc, it’s like you read my mind, man!  Especially the 3% colonials/5% going Galt reference.  And it’s not like we’re just living single, going out to bars, still going into debt for cars and new homes and clothes and electronics.  We’re bowing out al-to-f~~~ing-gether!  Also, as we slow our spending, and at least in my case incomes (why work all the overtime if you don’t need all the money?), our tax contribution decreases, completely legally.  Modern businesses operate on a very very thin profit margin, and it takes all their corporate drones slaving away at full capacity just to keep up with producing the newest shiny WhatTheF~~~ so Dear John can finance it and stop Jane from nagging.  The engine is running in the red.  You don’t need to sling a monkeywrench in the works to mess it up.  Just skip a couple oil changes, so to speak, and everything seizes up.  And you and I are the ones who change the oil.

The thing is, when you look at all the middle management, quality teams, diversity committees, etc, etc, in companies today, at least half the “work force” is totally unnecessary.  It’s propped up by continuous “investment” (read: counterfeiting, though they prefer you call it “quantitative easing”).  That means the other half of the work force not only has to provide actual value to cover their own existence, but also surplus value to prop up all the funny money spent on the useless drones.  A very small percentage of us ghost, like you said, say 5%, and the rest have to work even harder to keep up, at some point which becomes literally impossible.  That’s when other men see what we’re doing and join us.  By then, guys like us are stable and can guide 2 or 3 or more for every one of us into getting set up independently.  In other words, when the time comes for other good men to run for cover, many of us will be there, waiting, providing them exactly the place to run to.  So the next time the usurers who run this scam of an economy attempt a depression to sieze even more real property, we’ll welcome it, and give as many of the real producers a place to go to bow out, and leave the money grubbers with their feminists and diversity committes and wish them luck.  Sarcastically of course.  I hope they all tear each other apart and we can get on with rebuilding a civilization worth living in.

You know, Brian, I forgot all about that whole segment of the corporate workforce that do not produce actual value but only serve to make people feel better about having to work for money.

Human Resources, sensitivity training, oversight committees, non-profit workplace advocacy groups, unions, occupational health and safety and government mandated, tax funded programs and services of all sorts… all of these functions increase the overhead of a typical business endeavor to the point where they are operating with those razor thin margins… and they would be the first things to get cut as businesses had to start running more lean due to deflation and the general shrinking of the economy… the same way that arts classes get cut when school budgets are reduced.

So you’d be looking at a situation where not only was there less value being produced on the one end, but the whole entitlement community getting their benefits cut on the other would create an environment of anger and desperation which would rapidly push the remaining value producers to double down on their efforts or walk too… and once you go past the knee on that curve, there’s no going back.

We came out of the first Great Depression because the men of America wanted to work and were willing to do any s~~~ty job they could get in order to be useful again. Not this time.

Brian and Doc great points, I so agree with all of it.  I am looking for work now and I miss the days when you could walk  in the front door and ask for a job. I found so many adds for construction work. I write the phone numbers down and start calling. I always ask The first question like this: “I am calling about your add for construction work. Is this the number of a construction company or a staffing agency?”  so far 7 out of 10 times it is a middleman staffing agency. I define my right to work this way: “I reserve  the exclusive right to contract my skills, services and time of life as I see fit.” The important word is exclusive. I am Excluding everyone else from contracting out, that which belongs to me. Every company that does its hiring through a staffing agency is violating my right to work. Equal opportunity employer bull. Staffing agencies just allow the company to violate your rights with impunity because you don’t work for them. Staffing agencies bring no value for the worker. This is becoming a trend that I don’t like. I will not work for a middle man. Let this stupid system fail.

It isn’t so hard to set up your own staffing company. (I’m in process of doing this with a few colleagues for similar reasons as yours) Business license, website, 800 number and suddenly you are the staffing company. You still make what the staffing company would have paid you, but you also pocket the commission the staffing company was making off your labor. Company wants to have workers that they can treat like crap, and is willing to pay staffing company 10-30% more? No problem. You and do same work, get same s~~~ty treatment, but now we pocket the staffing company’s commission. We’re happy. Company is happy. And staffing company is without any of our labor to sell. As soon as you have all the work you can personally do from your new staffing company, you can pass it off to your friends…either keeping the staffing company’s commission, splitting it with your friends, or giving it to your friends. No need to leave that money on the table…

Harpo, that’s what I’m talking about right there.  It’s become “ok” and “smart business” to treat the worker like dirt, when he is the one holding this system together.  While I agree, BP, that’s a smart move to make if you gotta get yourself to a more stable economic situation and need every dollar you have coming to you, the system still remains evil.  You can’t bargain with evil.  You can’t compromise with it or hide from it.  It has to be destroyed.  This whole wicked society has made it chic to turn on our fellow man and “make a living” negotiating, haggling and doing deals, which are effectively means of getting someone else to do more work for less money.  Sure, you don’t want to leave money on the table like a fool, but it’s now to the point that many support themselves entirely by monetizing the labor of those who actually provide something useful, then economically rape them into slavery without a single pang of conscience.

And God help you if you’re a white worker to boot.  Not only do you get hammered financially, but the entire culture is against you morally as well.  You bust your ass for your pittance and have no affirmative action committee or “La Raza” or what the hell ever supplementing what they know is a slave-level income.  Oh no, you not only owe your ungrateful wife your every effort, you owe all these others as well and ought to be glad to step aside if they want your job to fill a quota.  And you’d better not even imply that there’s an injustice going on or you’re and “evil racist hater nazi!”

I’ll also say that I’m in a pretty decent financial situation.  This isn’t an issue of “I didn’t get mine, so I’m taking everyone down with me!” Far from it.  If I keep my mouth shut and tow the line, I could climb back in the matrix and reap the rewards.  But I know in my heart that’s wrong, that’s not why I was given the conscience I was endowed with.  And I believe that to be true for many of us.  We live in a modern Sodom, and God will simply not allow those of us who can recognize its evil nature to go with the flow and be truly happy.  We can play ball if we want, but we know deep down we’ll never be happy.

I can’t begin to tell you how much higher I can hold my head now knowing what I’m fighting for and why.  I’ve always said, I don’t care if you oppose me or why, but state your position outright and let’s have it out.  The enemy has made himself clear to us.  As clear as he can.  We who do honest work and require others to do their share, who ask for nothing more than an honest day’s pay for the same amount of work, are vilified in modern day Amerikwa.  Not just overlooked, but vilified.  The entire spirit of the culture is against us, and against anything that is good, decent, wholesome, restrained, continent and chaste.  So it’s not a matter that it must be destroyed out of vengeance, though it is rewarding to see justice done, no more, no less.  But the fact remains that the machine is so broken that repair is impossible.  It simply must be scrapped and rebuilt properly if it’s ever expected to function correctly, and the longer we continue to maintain it, the longer it’s going to put out defective and damaged goods.

Hey Brian K, I hear you! I have chickens (fresh eggs) (insect control)! I too busted my ass all my life, only to watch things crumble and fail as taxes ever increase! I’m selling everything! Time to not give a damn! The only debt I have is TAXES, I believe firmly with all my heart that scorching the earth behind me is the righteous thing to do! I will not buy anything new! My vehicles are salvage pool! I pull them, splice them, paint them, and for fractions of the replacement cost ! My home was a salvage operation, only paid 20, now assessed 220, mistake! They keep leaching my reserves to the point I gave up! No more 19 hrs. a day! S~~~, I’ve been screwing off for weeks on MGTOW, reading others plights, same as mine! I own stuff, and I am tempted to burn it, not for insurance scam, but for the purpose of serving justice! Real justice! MG-Towr, it sounds like we’re on the same path!  Over the past couple weeks I’ve gone through my apartment and thrown out everything attaching me to Amerikwa.  If it doesn’t serve a purpose, like kitchen utensils, tools, computer, etc, it goes: suits, tv, dvd player and dvd’s, furniture “that I might use someday”, etc.  I’ve now thrown out about half my “stuff” in anticipation of my upcoming move in a month to join up with some other mgtow and live consciously the way we discuss on here.  At first it was a little unsettling, thinking “I paid $xxx for that” as I tossed it, but then I thought, even slaves had to buy their freedom, and I chained myself to this stuff of my own free will. Well, more free will than an actual slave had, anyway.  The Amerikwan Materialism Mindf~~~ is powerful with this society.

But just like you said when it comes to “stuff”, going as cheap, cheap, cheap as possible is liberating.  Another wise man said in a comment about a wood fired hot water heater I was researching “Every dollar I save two that I don’t have to earn.”  Isn’t that just the way?  Pushing towards more materialism, it’s an exponential growth of want, maintenance, taxation, to no end.  Actually pushing the other way?  We’re going with the natural flow, down the curve, according to the laws of gravity and entropy.  We’re working with the laws of nature instead of against them!

Now if the car breaks down, we scrap it and buy a new one for cash.  Sink leaks?  Sounds like a kickass man project!  Not like I have a weekend full of wifely commitments, including some asinine “honey-do [or I’ll be snatchy and withold sex for a week] list” that involves things like planting something you can’t eat.  I’ll fix the sink, knock it out before noon, and call some buddies and go shooting and barbecue the rest of the afternoon.

What I think is really cool about our mindset is we change the culture in our own sphere.  Instead of asking your buddy what a deal he got on a brand new luxury car and the interest rate on his financing, we ask what junkyard it came from.  It becomes cool to do it yourself, and cheaper, and be that much more free.  And if a guy’s working on his car and I can help for free, then I can learn something myself for when I need to fix my own.  And what would we be thinking of doing if we were still chained to a shrew of a wife?  Why, fixing s~~~, shooting guns and cooking meat!

@brian K, MY TWIN! OH s~~~, We think exactly alike! I just about abandoned a Vermont (liberal welfare scumbag state)property, selling it incomplete, taxes $18,000 owed and rising. Don’t give a f~~~! I squatted on land all around my home (adverse possession) cutting trees, and planting small farm, have chickens, had goats, and the f~~~ing hive couldn’t leave me/us alone! fought tooth and nail to a stalemate/impassant outcome, it cost the attackers (hive) over $20,000, our cost, time+ $0.00 Ha HA HA HA, and I still don’t give a f~~~! You may have read about the hydronic boiler that I made. froze, but enough BTU (British-thermal-units)to heat home and garage, on wast oil, wood (trees, Ha HA HA), and etheline/propeline plastics, HA HA HA,,, also no smoke, half the wood as conventional wood heat! Power your self up! I’m also exploring wood gasification to run generator during power-out, They can drink their f~~~ing oil! Internet connection is sketchy, may go down, may not, I’m jacking that too, no television it’s clam juice to shrivel your b~~~~ and impair your judgment! I’m unplugged, unplugging, and don’t give a f~~~!

@MG-Tower, I thought it might be the case we and a lot of folks here are on the same wavelength when it comes to the level of ghosting we’re talking about!  I did just happen across the post about your hydronic boiler last night, and it made me think of how intimidating so much of this stuff seems to be to learn, until we realize that, unlike in the hive’s “educational” system, we don’t study something to pass a test.  We give our full attention to the information that allows us to do something, and leave the rest as interesting conversation.  I’ve been researching a little bit on raising chickens and crop rotation as well.  Would I go out with the info I now know and buy seeds?  No.  Besides, I still live in an apartment, so coming home with a roto-tiller and bags of seed would make me a special kind of asshole.  But when I’m moved, I’ll jump on the interwebs for a couple minutes, look into the specifics of planting spinach, and have at it.  Succeed or fail, I’m out to learn something, not necessarily have a successful first crop.

This is what I’m seeing more and more of as I learn about the mgtow culture and MENtality.  You had said you ended your formal education in 10th grade as you had experienced sufficient amounts of vibrant enriching diversity, and pursued interests on your own.  Amazing how much more you learn, and how much faster, isn’t it?  I firmly believe the e-duh-cational system is set up specifically to dumb down the brightest students so they are less likely to break out of the hive and threaten it.  When I started learning about firearms, I approached it like I did school subjects, and quickly became intimidated since I quickly learned that there was so much more to know than I thought.  I felt “behind” because I didn’t grow up around guns.  That was before I took the red pill.  Recently I picked up interest in firearms again, and have actually had people ask me to give them something of a “firearms primer/lesson”!  I’m no expert, that’s for damn sure.  But I know enough about the basics and had to learn them in a direct enough way that I can communicate the substance of what I know clearly to someone else.

I now realize that feeling of being “behind” and the cultural worship of academic accreditations isn’t just folly on the part of “book smart people with no appreciation for real knowledge”, it’s intentional. It’s to keep people like mgtow in the matrix, at their desk, producing at 300% capacity so the system can leech two thirds of their surplus value and spend it on those they need to keep happy to keep the charade going.  “Oh, you can’t change careers and be a _______”, you need a degree in _______”    “Yeah?  Bulls~~~! Kiss my ______!  I quit!!!”…..”And tell that ______ to shove her ______ degree from _____ up her _____!”

 

Fear.  Fear and feelings of inadequacy.  Shaming, really, isn’t it?  The hive loves to use ridicule and shame to keep its drones in line.  They done f~~~ed up now, though!  Like black folks taking back the n-word or gays taking back “f~~” and “queer”, we’re owning “sexist”, “chauvinist” etc. The worst threat they’ve ever had on us is that we’ll be thrown out of their group, and that’s come to be something we wish for even more strongly then they do.

 

My favorite illustration of this was a semi-recent exchange I had with a former Kwan friend:

You are on the road to independence, I know a guy that joined a commune of like minded men, I never heard from him again, they purchased acreage somewhere remote, I forget which state it was.

I took the farming thing to a whole new level, we’re (my brother) starting a fertilizer co. when we get enough capital. Nobody’s entering this field, the average farmer is relativity old, not much new blood,,,I see the opportunity as fruit filled garden, I could get rich, or go bust.. don’t care, it’s not the money, never was, it’s the game, the hunt, the thrill of the kill!

The gun thing, I treat guns like light sabers, as if it were a destructive lazier beam that reaches two miles, loaded or not…They’re safe if you handle the right… There’s nothing like a 44mag, dynamite in your hands, they sound like an anvil being struck after firing, it’s got a unique tingggggggg, I can’t hit the side of a barn with one. The Beretta is accurate in my opinion, you want real accuracy get a Browning riffle….

Autodidactic learning is definitely the way to go if you want fast, practical knowledge.

Whenever I am interested in learning something new, I’ll review a very basic primer on the topic then spend an hour talking to the closest thing to an expert I can find, then look up some online commentary from people who want me to believe I can’t do it. Based on these perspectives, I’ll invest some time and money in the tools I’ll need and then do what I’ll call “results directed play” which is basically f~~~ing around with it until you get the outcome you were hoping for.

This is how I learned pretty much every practical skill I know, from astrophotography to cooking a steak to firearm safety to managing a complicated web application server. The secret that schools and symbolic overachievers don’t know and won’t teach you is “You’ve got to f~~~ up a few times before you get it right.”

People are so obsessed with achievement and looking good and not feeling like they don’t know something that you can’t teach them anything… and they’re afraid to learn on their own for fear of looking like an idiot. The secret to learning is to, as the great Weird Al Yankovick so eloquently put it, “Dare to be stupid.” Only by trying and being willing to make mistakes can you ever hope to develop any real skill at anything… and the knowledge you acquire through hands on interaction with a subject, particularly one with useful outcomes, is almost certain to be retained.

I wouldn’t trade what I’ve learned by doing for the finest university “education” money could buy… just having learned HOW to learn is worth more than any college degree I might otherwise have attempted to acquire.

“Results-directed play”…I like it!  Really, that is exactly what it is isn’t it?  To know the potential of something you have to know it’s breaking or failure point.  Like the steak example.  There’s a certain heat at which you get a perfect sear while leaving the inside juicy.  Any cooler and you basically make a dry, thin “roast”; too hot and the outside chars while the inside stays raw, and you have to keep burning it till the inside is safe to eat, and be the asshole that says “I like the burnt parts!”   That guy’s a f~~~ing dick.  But you do have to burn a few, then dial it back to find the full potential of the steak and your perfect searing heat.  Great thing is, that knowledge is transferrable.  You can take that “steak thinking” and apply it to shooting.  Keep trying different methods of aiming until you’re on target every time.  Yeah, you have to look like a dips~~~ who can’t hit the target sometimes.  But just maybe one of those techniques is perfect for you and then you almost can’t miss.

Re: guns

They say if you’re reaching for your pistol in a gunfight, you’ve made a terrible mistake somewhere and are almost certainly about to regret it. Pistols are fun to carry and shoot, but for real self defense you want a long gun.

I like compactness so my favorite pieces are my 6.5″ Sig Sauer AR “pistol” with the wrist brace (it’s an AR-15, just shorter) and my Mossberg 870 short barrel breacher shotgun. For a sidearm I’d probably carry my Sig Sauer 1911 .45 ACP. It’s heavy enough to be accurate and durable enough to depend on.

When I’m out in the wild, though, I carry my FN Five-seveN… it doesn’t have the weight of the 1911 but the 20 round magazine, hypersonic muzzle velocity and 50m effective range with energy similar to either a 9mm or .45 make it a good choice for personal defense. Not that I’d be taking shots at people from 50m or that they wouldn’t see the impressive muzzle blast, but it’s the gun I like to carry in open country.

For fun at the range, though, it’s the Desert Eagle .50 for the win every time. Even seasoned shooters jump when that thing goes off.
