I just had a revelation that maybe the government support of gay marriage is a covert way to prop up the failing marriage institution.
You’d think – if gays want marriage so much – this must be something good and worthwhile in it, and that straight people should be seeking to get married as well. It gives marriage an artificial aura of desirability and inherent value, which it no longer has otherwise.
Just a thought, and I am probably wrong here, but thought it was worth sharing

I can’t wait until they freak out over straight guy friends getting married in order for one to get things like health care from one guy’s corporate job. There are sexless marriages, and you can’t prove someone is actually not gay.

Marriage rights are about first trying to get breaks society gives married people over singles, for yourself and whomever you have as a partner.  The second is the right to use the courts to be able to take half of what your former partner and you owned, in case you want out.

If it was just about staying with someone and remaining faithful alone for support, you wouldn’t need the government involved.  I would say on the homosexual side, they want the entire world to accept them as being ok, and not feel shame at all, and get rid of all what they see as homophobia.  Having some universal civil union with the state is not enough, it has to be under the banner of “marriage”.  This thinking is right out of the SJW camp that has individuals powerless to do things, unless the entire world accepts and loves them as they are.

Note here, this is my thought on it.  And my biases are much more against the SJW social activism against the world, than it would be how individuals live.  My biases is that I will be dead before I can get the entire world to love and accept me.

Imagine two women on the rag….doomed to failure. AT least the guys sex drive might match up.

My understanding is that, biologically, the women’s periods will synchronize if they stay with each other for any long period of time.  So that time of the month ends up being the same for both of them.
