The longest race I can run is a 5k. When I train for anything longer, my complaints/excuses sound like a bitch.
    Too hot outside.
    Too much time to train.
Body hurts too much. Blah blah blah.

I just can’t seem to get past that bitch wall. At first I was like you just don’t like to run. Why bother? Stick to your 4 mile loop. But fellas, I really want to go farther, but it’s like I’m stuck mentally. Diet is real strong, mechanically I’m sound. Just need a better plan of attack. I don’t know anything about running, so any help is good help.

I don’t know what to tell you, I usually run for the like of it and I do It on mountain or green areas.

I just go wild sometimes, if I am in an open space I have to run, I just have to, like a dog out of the house.

Maybe you should lower the speed, forget about distances and run.

Or set your self for a objective like the beach, a lake, uncle joe house in the forest, tell a friend to drop you 20km from home and come back walking or running.

Chase a cyclist (I have done that), they where like… this guy is nuts and ran the hell away, that was fun.

To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.

Try to figure out why you don’t run more. Fatigue ? Some body part that you feel most ? You are not trying anything impossible, so there is a solution to go further.

I run about 6km, and been doing this same distance for a while, but I try to lower my pace every time. I focus on running it faster, not longer, it is a different objective but some things remains the same, check your water ingestion, try to use some amino acids in free form before your workout, put a good amount of carbs before, add some stimulants if you think that you may need an extra push. For longer distances like a half marathon or more, take a drink with carbs with you.

If you don’t have one, buy a heart rate monitor and use it, so you can check how your hearth responds to the workout and adjust your rhythm so you will get your desired results.

Just scream Ittou Shura and you will dramatically pick up speed. It only lasts a minute and works once a day but it will work.

Here in Brazil is far common in the summer some simps trying to show of running without shirts under a 40C at 14:00.
I just laugh at their misery, it look like just gelatin shaking and being burned by the sun.
They do everything to make c~~~s pay attention to them, including putting themselves in that pathetic situation.

I run 5-10 miles a day. It’s just conditioning and mindset. Stop being a bitch?

    I’m too old to run.
Just leave some ammo, I’ll keep them here as long as I can.

I started running three years ago when I volunteered to “walk” a Kellie. I was asked about keto diet and found that keto took energy delivery out of the equation. I gave myself 11 weeks to train for an ultramarathon .. the next year I became a platinum 8 star marathon maniac… because I MGTOW. I have not run this year but faced with having to walk 12 km the other night as public transport was finished I happily put one foot in front of the other… After all it is not as tough as brutal alpine road running or trail ultramarathon. The memory of where I have been defines me.
The test of this post is ….borrow an energetic dog!

Afinogyny.. from the Greek Afino {to abandon/ to set down/ to leave /to allow/ to let } + Gyny {Women} MGHOW’s philosophy to not engage women without “hating them”. Get a bike and enjoy longer distances, running just beats you up over time anyhow.

I don’t know anything about running

Let’s see Running DESTROYS your Joints, and causes numerous tendon, ligament, and muscle issues.

That’s about all that I need to know to choose low impact aerobic activities like swimming or Eliptical Machines, but hey do what you want.

That explains why the hips, knees, and ankles for most retired military usually go out on them in their mid-sixties.

No jokes intended. This is just something I have noticed in those retired military I have met.

Unfortunately, access to those items are few and far between.

Running is a young man’s sport. I’m middle aged, my knees hurt just thinking about 5K.

Agreed, I spent my youth as a running fool. Now I got the joint, tendon, and ligament problems. It’s all about stretching and maintenance nowadays.

    Yup.

    I borrow an energetic dog!

Holy smokes, sound like you got the runners high. I got a dog that runs, but it’s against the law here to run dogs in the heat. So he will run with me in fall.

I need to track everything better, then increase each week. Great idea on the monitor.

I enjoy trail running much better, go fast like a kid again. Ha ha chasing cyclists! I picture wolverine chasing a douch cyclist.

I’m gonna start doing out an backs. Kinda your frat method of being dropped off. My friends would drop me off in the desert. Out and backs will force me to go farther.

Actually no. Running strengthens the ligaments and tendons in your knees. The more you do it, the stronger you get. But form matters, and most runners I see have absolute dog s~~~ form.

That explains why the hips, knees, and ankles for most retired military usually go out on them in their mid-sixties

It’s actually the 50-75 pounds of kit. Our bodies aren’t built to carry that kind of cargo all the time. Why do you think fat people are so f~~~ed up?

Your problem in all upstairs bro. Change your mindset. Excuses are for losers. I do 5 miles every pm in the Florida heat. The hardest part is getting out the door. Once I get going the body has no choice but to follow.

    Peace is > piece.

I see what you’re doing. Excuses are for losers though.

Pro tip: If it’s too hot, run in the morning or evening. I do 2-3 miles before I sit down to work in the morning.

I run 6 miles a day with a long run on the weekend (13 miles+)

I don’t enjoy it, but it builds my mental discipline, cardio and that’s one of the reasons I CHOOSE to do it.

I’m also trying to get into triathlon…but this thread is about you not me.

If you want to run further – do what I do:

In the lead up to my first half marathon I ran AWAY from home 6.1miles.

Then you HAVE TO RUN BACK.

    Problem solved.

    Go smash your next run.
