Some of my posts have disappeared outright. It has always been associated with a major site crash.
Yes. Again I wish we could accept 100% responsibility for that, but you can scream at the hackers.
3 days ago, we implemented a counter measure and you will notice we are springing back VERY quickly as compared to the 18-hour blackouts from just last month.
Many of mine got pending or spam. I think it’s because of my habit of putting URLs in them. Or, maybe the filter sees “RoyDal”, expands it to Royal Dalliance, and tags me for lèse–majesté.
You will probably have noticed a major reduction of this since we got rid of the 3rd party filter.
I think it was around thanksgiving weekend at the end of November. If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.Keymaster, I covered the possibility that the administration wasn’t doing the censorship themselves in the post just previous to yours, by making you aware that I wasn’t necessarily pointing the finger at the administration, and therefore it’s unreasonable for you to be so defensive about not being the ones doing the censoring. In no way did I accuse any of you of treating us badly. You are having an emotional response to a rational point. Granted I did mention being aggravated, but I did not establish that I was aggravated *at* the administrators. In fact, quite the opposite. I’m aware that there are challenges to this, and code that operates on a level beyond my understanding. I’m aware that there can be bugs, and I also stated this fact. I wasn’t “angry” and I didn’t accuse you of treating me badly *nor* did I “go off” on you. You are taking this way too personally. I shouldn’t be framed as being ungrateful for the services rendered here just for reporting what I perceive to possibly be a bug, a hack, or possible censorship by outside sources. On a side note, it’s kind of silly for the filter to limit us based on quoting people who already had their posts approved and passed through the filter. Using the quote system you provided us with, is the best way of not only addressing the speaker, but also proving that they actually said what they said on the forum. I apologize if I have struck a nerve, but again this isn’t now, and wasn’t before…personal. I should be able to bring what I perceive to be a bug or a hack to your attention without being chastised, even if I am mistaken. What you say is true, a person like me can’t fathom your challenges so I beg your pardon for my nescience. People aren’t always going to know what you do, so you should be patient with them. Thank you
@veniversum I began by saying I understand your frustration !!! I WOULD BE P~~~ED if I were you. You were actually being very polite and frankly… we are stunned by the members who never gave us any grief. You all have every reason to say “f~~~ this site”…. and that’s what we were expecting.
Then one day, we were out for nearly 30 hours, and within 3 minutes, 50 members were logged back in again showering us with nothing but adoration for the great job. It was mind blowing, really. Then we changed our entire member / join system and reset everyone’s passwords forcing stronger passwords for everyone.
One – just one – member went off on us and gave us proper s~~~.
He still visits us and posts regularly.I don’t blame you, but we have to direct it at the right place. These aren’t “forums issues”. They are issues created by the lovely bitches who simply refuse to leave men alone. The harassing, belligerent, intrusive, intent to cause damage…. while accomplishing nothing.
I know what it’s like to take 3 hours replying to a thread multiple times and watching it vanish. I know, And we are 1000 times more frustrated than you ought to be. My patience and self-control to avoid raging on in paragraphs about this, and how have been tested and had our time thrown away ……
Well… I won’t do it.
Because only losers whine about “doing their best”.
Winners go home and f~~~ the prom queen…. as Sean Connery once said. It’s New Years Eve!!
And if you decide to f~~~ a prom queen, wear two rubbers. If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.Let me also reiterate then, the massive amount of gratitude that I have to the people who have established this site, as well as to the participants of it, many of which have given me helpful advice that aided me in improving my life, as well as bringing to light knowledge and information that I wasn’t aware of previously. Perhaps I should show appreciation more often than I do. Maybe sometimes we inadvertently take people for granted, so if I have please accept my humble apologies. I care about everyone, and I certainly care whether or not they care because…all we really have is each other, and that isn’t going to change. Thank you very much! I look forward to a world where we collaborate rather than compete…I really do. Maybe it’s not realistic, but I refuse to forfeit my optimism.
I’ve lost a couple of posts I was working on, always in association with one of the attack/reboot cycles. No big deal. I have lost posts on just about every forum I’ve posted to. It happens. Even that wouldn’t have happened if I had built the long-winded posts in an editor instead of on the site. Any real annoyance is my fault for being lazy.
In the software business I always found that the more a user likes and relies upon a site or application, the angrier they get about minor issues. They have come to expect better from it, and from you. If it’s crappy to start with they just sort of expect problems. When people complain about small things it is really a sort of compliment. When they give up on complaining you know they have given up on the quality of your product.
You guys do a great job, and I thank you for your hard work giving us this little corner of the world to hang out in."I am is reportedly the shortest sentence in the English language. Could it be that I do is the longest sentence?" - George Carlin
Anonymous1Keymaster… is there anything we members can do to help?
Anonymous42Adapt and overcome! It’s like playing a guitar and having a string break! Just keep on playing and substituting notes from other strings! So what if a gear chips a tooth, just smooth out the load and ignore the clicking noise!
I handle life this way, nothing ever works perfect, that’s impossible! My motto is to do what you can, wherever you can, whenever you can, everything in life is piecemeal weather we like it or not!Keymaster… is there anything we members can do to help?
Not really…. as a matter of fact , we could build it in so that NOTHING goes into pending. We might even do that!! There has been no reason to hold anything back. But it could cause another problem. Let us think about it. We could also say … “if this member has 100 stars, approve everything.”. That’s not a bad idea.

What you guys can do , you’re already doing. Trusting us.
That is the toughest in the MGTOW community. That is developed over time.
And for that, we owe you too.So everyone is doing their bit already!
Just remember. We are still in our infancy here. We look MUCH bigger than we are. In fact someone over at Infowars asked “who’s funding MGTOW.COM?” like we are some big entity. We’re not. We’re f~~~ing tiny still…. and the upward mobility here is SO untapped. Keep that in mind. We’re an iceberg and only 10% is visible.
We also have jobs and other projects and we’re developing another complimentary site to this. Just a lot of recent hurdles have held us back. But that’s it. We’re just delayed. So patience is all that’s required really.
On October 22 we changed EVERYTHING about our member / join system making it much more robust and to be able to handle more members. We’re still dealing with the aftermath of that…. features….. the lost avatar problem is now permanently licked…. consolidating backups…. coordinating with the guys in other countries…… we’re just not even close to letting the site run and grow by itself yet.
Thank you very much! I look forward to a world where we collaborate rather than compete…I really do.
Thank YOU.
Our mission from day one was to bring men together and to stop them hurting and climbing over each other to get to the top. If our competitors could just GET OVER THEMSELVES and stop trying to bash MGTOW into the ground the Manosphere could be ….. awesome.
