I have been bike riding this summer. I plan on continuing to do so.
Yesterday I bought a kayak. I plan on taking that puppy out on the water as much as possible before the weather gets crappy.
I purchased some small weights to do shoulder and arm exercises at home last week. I will continue using them. I also am starting up doing pushups each day.
Other than that, focusing on work as usual and trying to pay off debt.

Not a holding pattern, May. That sounds like you’re doing nothing.
You’ve made solid plans and you’re just waiting for the bell to ringMe too. I am waiting for my plans to come to fruition. Patience is a virtue. In the mean time I try to enjoy everyday. Simple things. Today I got a hot dog and went down to the park on the river across from the city and enjoyed my lunch and a beautiful day. I am also working on my health and trying to cut back on the cigs. I did not know we had a 10 push up a day requirement,/Jan did not tell me we were doing that/ I will start now. And 1,2,………
Good topic as always Old Bill.

Anonymous3I am older than most. closer to 70 than to 60. walked 6 miles yesterday ( had a lot to do ) I average at least 2 – 3 miles a day. ( i dont drive ). Just got back from a camping trip in Vermont. I read every day. just finished 2 Novellas by Herman Melville. I have a meditation practice & I meditate with others twice a week. I keep a journal, so I write ( longhand cursive ) almost everyday. I go to County Fairs. I go to live theater ( my favorite form of entertainment ) I am a coin collector & have a lot of fun with that, also stamps. I go to live sport events, its baseball season. But, and I say this with all the sincerity I possess as a man. my most enjoyable times are the times I spend in silence & solitude. I have a TV & I do watch an occasional Star Trek or Twilight Zone episode, but the overall amount of TV i watch you could put in a thimble. I have a handful of male friends ( one led me to this site ) who I can talk to about anything & I am not afraid of women, nor do I hate or resent them. They “are what they are ” as someone all ready said here. my life is full & rich, although I am far from rich. i am content to be who I am,I need nothing from anyone. I am far from perfect, but I come & go as I please. I truly appreciate this site & the men who take time to post & read. in truth, all of you have aided me in coming to terms with the way I view the world we live in. lastly, I maintain its best to be optimistic, despite the slow & what I believe inevitable decline of western society. if there is hope then it resides right here with the men whose eyes have been opened & are willing to opt out of it. The winners are MGTOW
OldBill-
Great post brother.
You motivated me to rejoin the gym.
I already started eating better. No red meat for about a month.
I purchased a beach condo on Clearwater Beach. I’m slowly redecorating (a man needs a lazy boy).
I already prepaid for a year of golf at one of the courses.
Still working too many hours, but I like people. Thanks OldBill.
What plans do you have? Any trips or vacations?I have a handful of male friends ( one led me to this site ) who I can talk to about anything & I am not afraid of women, nor do I hate or resent them. I covet your life, Johnny. You’ve reached satori.
Thanks OldBill. What plans do you have? Any trips or vacations?
Thanks brother. Your list is a great one what with a new home, new hobbies, and a new body!
I’ve plans for trips and vacations but, thanks to my screwy work schedule, nothing inked in on specific dates. I’m pretty much set on a motor trip to the Canadian maritime in October and will get to the Met in NYC at least twice. Other than that I’ll just take my free time as it comes.
Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.
Damn. I had to do the first weeks on my knees. Girl style. Now I can do them right.
Love is just alimony waiting to happen. Visit mgtow.com.

Anonymous1I suggest any UK or European brothers get themselves off to kefalonia in their down time.
Going on the 6th of September.
Beautiful island. Amazing beaches and pastal coloured housing.
Have yourself some time off from everything if u can.
You owe it to yourself. Time to pay that debt.

All that matters, Jan, is that you’re doing them.

Anonymous1The last few years, I’ve only been half alive wracked with health problems. In a state of hibernation you might say, the lowest point in my life. I turn 30 years old on the solar eclipse coming up. Miraculously, my health has started to improve and looks like I’ll be making a full recovery, just in time. I’m taking this as some sort of sign. I’m supposed to do something big, but I’m not sure what it is yet. I guess, I’m just waiting for the miracle…

Same with me man.

It can only go up from here. Everything seems to be falling in place. I may get a second chance at life (fingers crossed).
Half way done with my gross anatomy human cadaver dissection class. This is going to be 4 credits of master’s degree done.
I will be starting fall semester the 1st of september for a whooping 15 credits of master degree pain. (wish me luck)
Exercising 4 times a week at the gym
If I pass my final test for a state test to get my license, I would like to celebrate by going to either Boston or go to Australia for the first time. And go alone and happy.
Like a bird on the wire, like a drunk midnight choir, I have tried in my way to be free.

Trying to find a job. I get mugged off with all the ones i want to do and get offered all the s~~~ ones that i don’t want to do. F~~~ing sick of doing minimum wage s~~~e jobs.
Not familiar with Xenophon, though.
Put his Anabasis on your To-read list. You can find any number of good translations for free online.
As Cu explained, it’s about mercenaries. Xenophon was part of the “Ten Thousand”, a body a Greek mercenaries hired to fight for one side in the all too usual civil wars wracking the Persian Empire. The “Ten Thousand” are on the winning side of the only pitched battle they fight but the man who hired them is killed. Because a dead man can’t claim the throne, the civil war is over and the “Ten Thousand” find themselves very far from home in the middle of an empire whose peoples have every reason to hate them.
Their only course of action is to march ~1000km from the heart of what is now Iraq, up the Tigris, across deserts, through the mountains of Anatolia and Armenia, to reach a Greek colony city on the shores of the Black Sea where they can arrange for ships to get home.
It is on my wishlist now!
All my life I've had doubts about who I am, where I belonged. Now I'm like the arrow that springs from the bow. No hesitation, no doubts. The path is clear. And what are you? Alive. Everything else is negotiable. Women have rights; men have responsibilities; MGTOW have freedom. Marriage is for chumps. If someone stands in the way of true justice, you simply walk up behind them and stab them in the heart-R'as al Ghul.
@JohnnyZero
Sounds like you’ve discovered the secret, respect man, great post.

Anonymous11As soon as the air gets cool enough to not run the AC, I’m back in the remodeling business over here.
I am counting down the days until October when my son turns 23 and I stop paying the ex $2241 per month for child support. Will probably end up taking her to court for contempt for not refinancing or selling the house per the separation agreement. I pay the mortgage as part of the child support. This arrangement is 10 years old now so I am looking forward to it ending.
For me, I have been hitting the gym and eating more fruits and veggies. Got one of those smoothie makers and like it. I would never each spinach and as much fruit otherwise.
I too am 56 and I am contemplating my next phase of life and what my goals will be. Retirement is on the radar screen so I can do more fishing and other hobbies before I am 6 foot under.
If you're going through hell, keep going.

I know what you’re talking about brother. I’m looking towards that glide path too. Trying to decide just how and where I’ll set her down.

Going back to school to earn my Bachelors degree, i’ll be exploring more books to read. I also want to learn how to cook. Love the single life I have so many options!!
