The birth control pill was invented in the early 1970’s. It’s taken 2 generations but the reduction in the population is becoming a problem.

I find it interesting that China developed the 1 child policy. Now the West has like 1.5 children per couple without any more force than an anti-family philosophy becoming popular.

When given the choice maybe women aren’t naturally nurturers as we would surmise. Maybe they are just men with a uterus. I know I wouldn’t ever want to become pregnant.

Maybe women nurture children because it’s easy and pays well, half a dudes s~~~. But they hate every minute of it.

So, when given the choice, when dependable birth control came on the culture, women just stopped having children.

It is proof women don’t like children.

The anti-family philosophy is only really becoming popular among men. Notice how the sperm banks are all running shortages? Women still definitely believe in “family” because “family” has come to mean nothing more than a meal ticket for women at the expense of men.

It is proof women don’t like children.

But they sure do like the benefits and status that come from having children.

There is no population crisis. There’s 7.3B+ people in this world and that is still exploding outwards.

The Earth ideally only has .5-1.5B people. If there was a real population crisis, they’d change the laws and wealth inequality would cease. We still have too many people.

My two cents on the supposed declining birth rate of the USA is that it is a farce. There indeed if anything are too many people in the world. Whenever I hear about supposed declining birth rates I take it as nothing more than fear mongering for the manufacture of tax revenue and meat for the next potential war. There are way too many welfare babies for me to believe that there is a declining birth rate. People are popping them out fine, they just can’t or do not want to afford them. Be it true or more aligned to my two cents, what does it matter in the end? Not much to me.

2 of the positions were STEM so likely 8-9+ of the other 10 will be women losing their jobs.

I’ve always known it was just a matter of time before useless professions (like “HR” t~~~ts) would be sacked. They are entirely good-for-nothing and actually PREVENT companies from getting great talent and highly skilled employees. The way they interview and screen is a an embarrassment.

    “So what are your weaknesses?”

“Are you f~~~ing kidding me??? Shouldn’t you be asking about their STRENGTHS you f~~~ing moron?”

I once passed an HR bitch who asked that question on the phone, and all I could give her was a condescending eyebrow raise and disapproving inward breath. If I were the CEO of that company, I would have sent her packing – RIGHT THERE – for asking these stupid questions, especially before a first meeting.

“So what kind of salary are you looking for?”

“WTF?? Do your employees name their own salaries? Great! How’s one million a month!!??”

I could go on about this for a month, but I do know, when the s~~~ FINALLY comes down, its’ gonna come down on THEM and they will realize just how USELESS they are. All those “fluffy” jobs will be the first to go. THat’s what I call these people. “Fluffy”.

I am in the processing of applying for summer internships in an energy trade and have been asked those questions. Why do all these companies full of high thinking level men put up with the s~~~ pool called HR? My dad retired from sales and has always said that HR often times breaks companies. He always attempted to go around HR and called them parasites. Why put up with HR? Is it some state law decree that forces good businesses to hire bad HR?

Why do all these companies full of high thinking level men put up with the s~~~ pool called HR?

Because navigating employment laws can be a real bitch. If you have one employee who gets “offended” the lawsuit, even though frivolous, can be expensive & damaging to the company’s reputation. Ever try to fire someone? It can go back quickly.

So HR is there to help minimize the risk of s~~~ty lawsuits. I’m not saying HR is efficient, it’s not. And there are some hilarious side-effects:

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/science/science-news/8459167/Good-looking-women-discriminated-against-by-female-recruiters.html

But answering HR’s questions “the right way” is f~~~ing easy. You get an automatic win in the competition between you & the next guy who doesn’t know how to respond to their bulls~~~.

I agree the world is overpopulated but it is interesting that it seems to be self correcting at least in Western countries.

Social justice is a dead end road. You have a bunch of insecure, narcissistic, attention-seeking children that are trying to out virtue-signal each other and compete for a higher position on the victim ranking scale.

Eventually they will spend more time attacking each other than attacking their opponents.

It’s already happening. The awakening will be brutal for them.

    Not our problem though.

Just another source of entertainment. 🙂

I don’t agree with overpopulation. Unevenly distributed, yes. David Friedman is largely responsible for why.

I think that belief rests on the economic fallacy that there is a static amount of wealth in the world which will fail to meet the needs of a higher population. Wealth is created all the time by entrepreneurs. This is why the poorest person of today is far wealthier than the richest of kings 500 years ago in terms of real wealth (stuff) vs nominal wealth (money).

David Friedman points out that its not like people are born without hands or feet and can’t produce extra wealth. More people born means more people producing wealth. I happen to take the opposite position that more population increases the division of labor thus further benefiting us all through trade.
And I probably killed this thread.

We will hit a point where the global population will not be sustainable. Why even try flirting with disaster in the first place?

There’s 7.3B+ people in this world and that is still exploding outwards.

But the percentage that are actually productive is shrinking fast.

More people born means more people producing wealth.

    Does it really?

So far as I know, I’m the only member of my family in generations to actually produce wealth.

More people does not necessarily mean more wealth production. But it definitely DOES mean more wealth consumption. Not everyone chooses to produce any more, but everyone wants to eat.

You can take all the people on this earth today and fit them in the state of Texas with 1085 sqft each. So why are people screaming about over population? If you put things in perspective it’s just a bunch of fear mongering. Just like that we have a water shortage. Put a guy in a row boat in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and tell him we have a water shortage.

Anyway communication, real open communication, is not wanted or even required in a relationship. Women cannot handle fully open and honest communication, plus most perceive it as a weakness on the part of a man. All that is required is catering to her whims, and even then nothing is certain. There is no way to be sure of having a successful relationshit with a woman. MGTaoist

It is not all about space. It is about usable resources, and having access to them, and having them be sustainable. Just like it is not all about water, it is about clean drinkable water, to sustain life.
You would find this out real quick in your rowboat in the middle of the ocean.
