So I’m playing an online game.

Before every round there is a warm up period. Just now a player with a screen name that leads me to think the player is female (or a tranny, which is fine) asks if there are any girls in this round? I have never seen a person ask if there are any men in a round.

Who the F cares? They set themselves up for this. No one playing the game cares. No one playing the game cares.

All we care about is if you are a good player and help our team win. Do your job and help our team win. Stop bringing your sex / gender crusade into a damn game.

I agree only is so far as first person shooters are concerned. I think it has a tendency to trivialize firearms and detracts from the respect firearms deserve. Once you have used them in real life the game versions of them are almost insulting.

Having said that I think strategy games are just fine. They do force you to think. Now sometimes these games have a hidden agenda. For example I used to play Europa Universalis until I realized that the message was Empires are bad…and war is bad etc. Oh well.

I might also add that some guys are home bound for one reason or another and I can see where online gaming gives them some social interaction. I don’t do it but I can see the point.

Being mainly a strategy gamer, I have to say I face female opponents once in a blue moon. They are even more of a rare sight in forums. I’m happy the genre has managed to stay bulls~~~-free for so long.

If there are no video games there are books, if there are no books then there is chess. People will go for porn, or TV, or beer or something else.

Just like everything else if the entertainment affect their work / health then it is bad, but if it does not affect their performance how can you claim it will infantilize them?
