I’m pleading ignorance here.

From a complete outsider point of view, I think the core issue with “Jewish identity” is separation of church and the state. Jewish in general is tied to both nation AND religion. We don’t make a distinction between people who follows Judaism and people who are Israelis, they are tied to Judaism and Israel. In the case of Christian or Buddhism, they can pretty much be any race because the religion is not tied to the nation.

I’m pretty sure there are people who are raised Jews that don’t give a s~~~ about Israel and vice versa. It is due to one fundamental question: Does God comes first or nationalism comes first? This is up to the individual.
I think people who are anti-Israel because they see it as the new Palpal state. I’m not sure about pro-Israel though. Lesser of the two evils?

Add it all up and what you are left with is an Identity theft used as an excuse to take people’s s~~~ by force and cause chaos for eternity. (Israeli’s keep taking Palestinian land, ever after agreements made not to long ago) So, it is a never ending s~~~ show that just creates more violence.

And yes, there should be a separation in every nation in regards to Religion and State, the U.S. should not be such close friends in my opinion with Fascism such as this.

Taking land, has gone on for centuries. The British, Spanish, and French took North America from indigenous ‘indian’ populations. Then the colonies revolted and the US took the land from the Brits, bought some from the French, and took some from Mexico.

The Palestinian authority is totally corrupt. Israel’s government is also corrupt, to a lesser extent. Israel is culturally Jewish, but many religions are practiced there. Peace does not benefit the corrupt leaders. Would the same amounts of US and International aid go towards Israel and the Palestinian Authority, if they made peace? For god’s sake, they might have to increase taxes on their own people in such a peace scenario! They might very well be facing an intifada of a very different type — against them. Peace would weaken the politicians who thrive on the conflict.

Ehhhh, well, to put that more precisely, most Jews in Israel and worldwide support Israel and Zionism, most Muslims however are not trying to establish a worldwide caliphate, in fact things were much more chill over there before Zionism. Muslims are all over the world, most are just people trying to get along.

Ultimately what has made things devolve to the state they are in now is the three Abrahamic religions not being able to share their common place of origin peacefully. This, in the modern era, is due to Zionism.

Doing a simple back-of-the envelope calculation, take $2500 x 10^9 / ~330 x 10^6 population = ~$2500/~330 x $1000 = ~$7,600 for every man, woman, and child in the USA.

How much better off would we be with $7,600 of infrastructure OR $7,600 more in our pockets to invest or spend?

I don’t have a dog in this fight, but the way I see it one of these groups kills if: you make a cartoon of their prophet, you’re a woman and show your face or commit adultry, denounce their religion and a million other stupid reasons.
