Your x is no longer a part of your life. You only have to deal with her in very small doses. The communication and connections between you are only for your children’s benefit. Those ties will be there all your life, unfortunately. I felt after my divorce that being amicable got me more of what I wanted, more time with my children. She never knew the seething contempt and hatred I felt dealing with her. No need to be snarky, we are better than them.
