I can’t say what will work for you, but I did feel similar during and after my divorce. Slowly, I reacquired old hobbies and found some new ones. They are not expensive, but they keep my mind keen and hands busy when I’m not at work. Actually, unless I’m asleep, I’m ALWAYS busy with something — whether necessary chores, or something more enjoyable. I think that’s the key; keep your mind busy. Let yourself enjoy the small victories. And be careful with alcohol. It’s easy to medicate yourself, but I’ve seen lives destroyed by alcohol (including the death of a friend and the devastation that caused the family), so be careful. As for sex, that’s a tough one. I’ve been Monk for almost two years, and that’s ok with me. Gets easier with the passage of time. If I were still your age, I don’t know if I could do it — but I do believe that each man owes it to himself to at least try it once.

I don’t know why you think guys on this forum are failures with women. We aren’t a bunch of broke trolls living in our parents basement, and from what I could tell from reading what other guys have posted on here, it seems like most of us are actually fit, active guys with friends and a social life, good jobs, and for a lot of us not fresh off a divorce raping, assets, which is more than what a lot of indebted Americans can say.
I’ve had more women make a pass at me in the last year than I did any year when I was in college. Not settling down and having kids or getting married isn’t a lack of success forcing me to call it quits…its me not wanting to f~~~ my future up.

Sounds like this is your problem more than anything. Red pill or not, if you have no hobbies and don’t care about anything, its not a lack of girlfriend making your life suck, and a girlfriend won’t fix it. Maybe you should find some hobbies and interests not for the sake of being more attractive to other people, but for the sake of enriching your own existence.

I suggest you visit with a mental health professional. I mean that in a serious way, and not as an insult. If you are in NYC and you cant find a thing that seems interesting to you and cant work up any energy to do anything to the point where you just wish to sit in your place alone and feel bad, its a sign of a serious depression.
One a personal note, right after my divorce I was in a depression. Exercising worked great wonders for me. And I don’t mean going to a gym and lifting weights necessarily. I simply walked in a large urban park nearby. About 30 minutes a day, no matter the weather. Did wonders for my mood to get out.
How can a woman be expected to be happy with a man who insists on treating her as if she were a perfectly normal human being.

Not all MGTOWs are MGTOW Monks; some MGTOWs still have sex. Just don’t date women, don’t have a relationship with a woman, don’t marry a woman, and always protect yourself and your sperm, when shagging. Just ‘pump and dump’ women, as and when required, if you do need to have sex. Sex may lose its appeal to you, after having so much of it, and you may decide to go Monk, or you may not.
You need to analyse your life and your life’s experiences, society, and women, a lot more, and see it/them for what it/they really is/are. People do not just go MGTOW over-night; some are Monks as well and some are not. It took me 6 years to adjust my mind-set, since I was heavily Blue Pill programmed.
The point of life is being happy – YOU BEING HAPPY YOURSELF – not you making some woman happy by burying yourself in-between her crotch, not pussy-chasing, not just shagging around. You need to find YOUR OWN CONTENTMENT in life, WHICH DOES NOT RELY UPON OTHER PEOPLE. One important phrase is: Being alone is not the same as being lonely. You can be content, just in yourself. Think about it. You need to adjust your mental perspective. It takes time.
