Timely topic. One that should be brought up every few months as a reminder. The ultimate goal in being mgtow is getting past the rage and hate to live a happy fulfilled life.

I don’t want to be happy; I simply want to lead a content, tranquil life.

Content and Tranquil, at least to me and I am sure a lot of others is a happy life.

    Agreed.

Happiness, contentment.. these are subjective words. They do not have a universal meaning. But, if a person likes his life, wants to go on living, and has love and compassion in his heart, then I believe we can say he is more or less happy.

If he likes his life and wants to go on living, BUT does not love and wants destruction, I believe such a person cannot be happy really.

I believe each and every man has a deep well of love and kindness within his heart. As well as utter darkness and evil.

We become what we choose to cultivate.

What is happines?Where do you find it?What is made of?You cant seek happiness, that is a state of mind, you can choose to be happy or not.Rage all you want, hate all you want, what ever works for you, you will eventually grow out of it, takes time, be a better person or a worst person, it doesnt matter is all the same. You can agree or desagree with me, maybe im wrong, maybe im right, it doesnt matter, relax and enjoy the view, you will be dead in 60 years or sooner.

You can deconstruct everything so that nothing really means anything. But, we know happiness when we feel it. We know misery when we feel it.There is a degree of choice, however simply ‘choosing’ to be happy does not work. Or, it takes time and soul work to reach the point where you feel you can just ‘choose’. This is why I say seek happiness, in my case this was ridding myself of all/most delusions, suffering, complexes, etc. Happiness for me is something like the absence of all that crap. Most people cannot simply snap their fingers and choose to be happy or enjoy the environment, they need to work on improving themselves and their environment. You need to get to the root of why you hate, and cut it out.“Why improve yourself, is self masturbation, why do this, why do that. Is all bulls~~~. Blah blah blah.” Except it’s not. We are partly material entities in a partly material world. The material world affects us, Tyler Durden wannabe. There’s a lot of truth in what you’re saying, but that doesn’t work for a lot of men. Improving one’s mind leads to genuinely increased peace, harmony, happiness. As something of an anarchist you say “f~~~ it all”. I am skeptical as to whether you feel anything close to happiness and suspect there is more hate and rage than joy in your daily life.If you genuinely want the world to burn then you are a hypocrite by staying alive. For the will to live suggests hope for something better, deep down there is love and kindness in your heart, but you’re too much of a pussy to show it. Probably doesn’t help being a Doctor Carnage (how about change your profession).

If you are not ready to die at any moment, or you fail to walk down in life as if you are dead already, you have a thing or two to learn in Taosim yet, brother. Clinging to life is a mistake, one that many people take for granted.I take Carnage words over yours, in this matter. Carnage reached farther in this curve. Life is Always moving, and clinging to it is to live in perpetual state of greif and sadness. As Carnage said: f~~~ it all. We are all dead and we will all die in the same manner, no matter who you are. So, if we all will die, what matter and what does not? Live your “death” to the fullest, whatever the means for doing that is like, for you. All else is bulls~~~.

I’m curious how you’ve deduced I’m “clinging to life”.I do not fear death. I accept whatever comes with equanimity, that is the Tao.A lot of people make the mistake of thinking “surely a Buddhist or Taoist wouldn’t be angry or bothered by anything”. Wrong. A Buddhist or Taoist is a normal human being. He does not pretend to be anything else.

    In here, brother:

You say that if your will to live is present, it means that you hope for something better, when in fact, it does not. Not only that, but living “while clinging to hope” is bound to bring you despair, for you lust after “a better situation”. What is a better situation? It probably is not the same thing for me and for you…Lust is one of the manifestations of desire, and those leads to disgrace. Desire is the root of all evil, lose it and find yourself.

A living thing always strives for more. More food, security, comfort. That’s what I meant by hope. Possibly not the best word choice, as we can see it’s easy from there to connect the word ‘lust’, which has a clear negative connotation.
Try to understand the overall meaning rather than taking one word and reaching another word which can disprove my idea out of context.

You see, that is where the old masters of the Zen always said to strive against, which is the seeking for “more”. More food, more security, more comfort are just desires. A man should only have two desires: The desire to be a better man, and the desire to show others how to be better.
More food will probably kill you. More security will lead you to a life where you have no freedom. More comfort means that you will not have any strife, so you can improve, because hardships are the mothers of betterment and inventiveness.

I understood the overall meaning, brother. Perhaps you did not understood the deepness of my words?

"Young was I once, I walked alone, and bewildered seemed in the way; then I found me another and rich I thought me, for man is the joy of man." Odin, Hàvamàl, stanza 47.

Striving for more food, security, comfort, and you will end up with none of that, just more desire and more despair, when you can’t get any of what you wanted.

I understood your words entirely, brother. Maybe you did not get the entire meaning of mine’s?

If hate is a state of mine, just like happiness, which the folks on this thread seem to agree that it is, then how does a hate crime work?

the whole Hate thing is political. The tactic was written about looooong ago in great detail, how “hate crime” would be used to destroy the fabric of a society. The document describing the exact tactics we are seeing implemented today is called the Protocols of Zion. It is the most filthy, disgusting thing you will ever read, and it will make you sick to your stomach, and you won’t be able to get through it.

And as you will see when you read it, it is being implemented at an astonishing 100% today in the US and around the world, totally unmasked.

Carmaker Henry Ford, when asked about the Protocols, said “All I can say is that they have always fitted the situation, and they fit it now”.

He used to give a copy of the Protocols to every purchaser of a Model T.
