First of all Andy, you are very VERY lucky!, not to have children with this woman that you wish to divorce.
Secondly, If you both agree that the marriage is over it is actually quite simple to get a divorce, in fact it can be done online (believe it or not), so you do not necessarily need a solicitor, unless your financial situation cannot be mutually agreed.
The charity in the UK,… Families Need Fathers, have as its main purpose helping fathers, during divorce proceedings. THAT SAID, their website has very useful resources for the divorce only, side of the issue.

This page link will take you through the process, with costs involved, and even links to online government forms.
    Hope that was halfway helpful?

FriendsForProtectionofMen/ Facebook .RK Hendrick is the founder of the group and is a member of NCFM.

If you are looking for an attorney in your area I would definitely go there and ask even if you have to open a temporary FB account to do it.

frankly my dear i don't give a damn

I know someone who went through a bad divorce and he was found dead at home. He had committed suicide. When are men going to wake up? A long term relation will always get you into trouble!!! Yes we need to organize ourselves and take action to make changes to the legal system. It’s about time men take back control. After all we are the stronger and smarter gender.

My personal sympathies to the OP going through his divorce, but in regards to the suggestion that “we should organize ourselves and take action”…

That sounds like some MRA s~~~, not MGTOW-related. MGTOW are dropping below the radar and avoiding women or avoiding marriage with women. We don’t play the game, that’s all. Nothing in the MGTOW sense says that we all need to go MRA and fight the laws. All we’re doing is fighting society…and WINNING, by sitting back and DOING NOTHING but living our lives by our own decisions.

MRA and MGTOW are two completely different things. Let’s not try to pretend that we’re all the same thing because 90 percent of MRA would go back to marrying women once the laws were changed in our favor. That’s the difference right there.

If you want to end up broke and despondent, read my profile.

When we say don’t marry it’s for your best interest.  Be smarter than me and learn from mine and others experience and not the school of hard knocks.   You may come out permanently damaged.

If I had to do it again I would never have had a child. Since I had one I would have walked away.

Children  belong to women. And even if you get 50-50 custody, children learn quickly how to manipulate one parent against the other so the children and up in a less than optimal situation.

You made a bad decision take your lumps, learn and walk away as fast as your legs will take you.

By the way I look up the laws in England and I found an attorney who stated that she encourages women from other countries to come on vacation to England and spend six months so they can obtain the right divorce in the nation of England. The laws in England are the worse for divorce in the entire Anglophile world.

#icethemout; Remember Thomas Ball. He died for your children.

…Slavery was never abolished, today it is just a different form of slavery. All of us became slaves to the government (in some countries total tax is 70%) and privileged groups (women, “poor” people). I should be entitled to the fruit of my own labour, not somebody who didn’t earn it. After my divorce, I will devote my life to fight for abolishing any form of discrimination (positive or negative) especially when the discrimination is supported by government power. Any contract should be between two parties in their own terms. …

You should check out UKIP.  Sounds like you would get along with them well based on what I know about them.  In fairness, I could be completely wrong being from the States and all.

Family law supports the female perspective. Therefore, any lawyer who doesn’t tell you how it will likely go in court – bias towards females – then he or she is not doing you any justice. The best advice I ever received: stay out of court. Understand the likely outcome and make her a reasonable offer to settle. That will save you a lot of headache and money in lawyer fees.
