I have my proof, but you can’t believe in it any more than I can believe in the explanation in the milk jug video. Before I received my proof though, I first had faith.

But your ‘proof’ is no more logical than if I were to claim the same result by praying to a milk jug. I could just as easily and justifiably claim to have ‘faith’ in the milk jug. This is what you don’t seem to understand.

Consider also that you’re talking to a former Theist. I was raised a Christian but it just didn’t take. I couldn’t keep believing in something that the rational side of my mind was telling wasn’t so.

The bottom line being that our minds just work differently. We’ve established that. What I see as “rock solid logic” you see as “nonsense”. There’s no chance of any sort of consensus between two people who think and interpret things in such a radically different way.

It’s a lesson that I will try to remember should I again engage in this type of discussion…

I’ve only given you one piece of proof. I told you in another post that I had other evidence that had nothing to do with prayer. Stop focusing on the prayer thing. Forget about the prayer thing! LOL I don’t base my entire belief system on that one instance, man.

No, of course we’re never going to see eye to eye on this subject. You should’ve known that going into this discussion. It’s like you’re irritated that you can’t make sense of why I believe how I believe. LOL

Wow, I really like this site. I never would’ve guessed that some day I would go this deep into a discussion with an Atheist. The one or two times I had a face to face discussion with an Atheist, they just immediately got p~~~ed off and walked away. I mean, IMMEDIATELY and was trying to be just as polite to them as I’ve tried to be with you. The mere mention of God just set them ablaze.

The evil in women’s hearts leaves them no moral bounds as to inhibit them from descending to the lowest levels of darkness to acquire their self entitled desires.

I’m not irritated with you. You’ve answered honestly and I sincerely appreciate it. You tell me that you believe what you believe because it’s what you believe. I accept that because I now understand more clearly how differently the Atheist and the Theist actually think.

Often Theists will delve into long drawn-out irrational and profoundly absurd explanations trying to rationalize why they believe what they do. Now THAT can be very irritating. Thank you for not doing that.

It can be very frustrating for the Atheist. I’ve certainly been there myself more than a few times. Imagine yourself trying to argue with someone who insists that 2+2=3. That’s how it often feels for the Atheist. It can tend to quickly wear one’s patience very thin…

No, I’d never engage in those drawn out nonsensical explanations. That is mostly religious bulls~~~ and irritates me as well.

I believe I’ve seen you get p~~~ed off in some threads when this subject was being discussed, yes? ………and 2+2 is 3 if you just pray and believe…….HA! I’m f~~~in’ with ya’.

    You guys are awesome. Seriously.

I’m an atheist so I’m more on Autolite’s “side” if you can say… even though I’m more of a box-of-chocolate-cookies worshipper. *grin*
