Kevin Feige Says There Will Soon Be At Least Two LGBTQ Heroes In Marvel Universe [Exclusive]

and with all of the stuff Brie Larson is coming out with about Captain Marvel and slagging off white men (surprise, surprise) it appears that the whole thing is about to go Nu Star Wars

Obviously Feige is getting pressure from above and the higher ups at Disney realise that Star Wars has failed so will use the Marvel films to push their s~~~ instead. I am going to laugh in a few years time when Marvel films go from making $100millions to barely breaking even as everyone stops watching them

oh well it’s been a good run with classics like Infinity War, Civil War and Avengers Assemble but after Avengers 4 I am checking out

Don’t understand the concern in corporations for an artificial grouping, a market segment that constitutes only about 2% of the population.

the funny thing is that depending on how Avengers 4 goes, IW could have been the last great Marvel film and that Thanos finger snap could signify the end of the MCU as everyone knows it – pretty poignant really

I collect comics and have probably put more into my twenty year collection that I should have .. but the stuff has gone into demand and has gotten bid way up at auction if you want every issue of every series from every writer and artist

Eh, there are a lot of factors at play here. The reaction to an LGBTQ character is going to depend on how in your face and relevant to the story it is as well as the current political climate when it comes out. If they do it the way they did Black Panther…where activists saw it as activist film and action fans saw it as an action film…then they should manage it ok.

To give an example, Fox made one of the characters in Deadpool 2 gay, even showing the girlfriend with her much of the time. Yet no one really cared. It wasn’t relevant to the story and they didn’t push it in your face too much.

Heck, if all else fails, I will play older games I have, like “Star Wars Battlefront II” (2005 classic, not the EA s~~~). I had a lot of fun the other night playing Battlefront II online — plenty of players for a 13 year old game.

Let’s look at what is happening right now. Deadpool 2 crushed So Low at the Box Office. So Low has bombed so bad at the Box Office that those running Disney are taking at look at the leadership actions of their subsidiary company, Lucasfilm.

Keep in mind this is at a time that Disney needs all the profits they can get in their bid war with Comcast over purchasing 21st Century Fox. If those at Disney want 21st Century Fox, they are going to have to remove the SJW politics from their company and subsidiary companies, so they can earn the profits to purchase 21st Century Fox.

I think it’s time for the super hero craze to crash and burn for a while. Unlike DC Comic’s wonder woman who is a common fictional character pretty much everyone knows of even before the movie, Marvel has no such female hero. Yes there’s Captain Marvel and Black Widow, but they are not common household names. Unless you’re a comic nerd i doubt you even know who captain marvel is, and you prob only know who black widow is because of the avengers movies. So they have a real uphill battle here trying to make ‘female’ focused superhero movies. I hope they crash and burn.
